Review : Tony Moly Aqua Aura Serum

Hello everyone!

Moisturizing our skin is a MUST!
I keep telling myself that since I tend to forget to use my moisturizer daily (I try my best not to). Even if I have oily skin, it's still important for me to moisturize, I just have to find the product that works best for my skin.
Now, whenever I do my sideline of doing someone's makeup, I also tell my client to use moisturizer especially if his/her skin is really dry.

So anyway, right now, I use this product which I shall be posting a review about. I apply this every night and I'm really happy that this was given to me last month during the Tony Moly ATC Opening Event.

Tony Moly Aqua Aura Serum

A bottle is 50ml and is worth Php 798.00.
It is a water based moisturizer.

For more product details, here's a description from the website:

Long-lasting serum giving skin radiance as ions drink water

Fill up your skin moisture with powerful serum Prevent the formation to not be lost moisture in the skin Help absorb and circulate serum as a function of Ionized water oxygen and moisture in the skin Gives a natural glow to the skin moisture 5Free -- Paraben, Mineral oil, Fragrances (Natural Flavors added) , Benzophenon, TEA

USAGE:
By pumping 1-2 times, following skin texture and pat evenly to get absorbed.

Errr... I think the website needs more improvement with the labels... Haha!

It is housed in a cute sky blue box that contains labels with product descriptions, precautionary advices, Directions of use, and list of ingredients.
At least the box has better grammar. :P

The bottle is really pretty too!
It's quite heavy though so it's not something that I would bring in my bag. But I wouldn't bring a 50ml bottle anyway. :P

At the back of the bottle has more Korean characters which I can't read.
But it says the weight, and the lifespan of the product which is for a year.

It is in a pump bottle which I like because it's easy to get the product out.
What worries me is when I use up most of the product and there would be no way of getting the product left in the sides of the bottle. :P

Here's what the product looks like when pumped out.

It's milky white and somewhat thick in consistency. Smells nice - I can't pinpoint what scent exactly but it's not strong enough to be annoying. :P
When you apply it on the face, it's so light and spreads easily. It feels like you're just spreading water all over your face. No sticky feeling! The product gets absorbed by the skin quickly too.

It leaves my skin feeling soft even 'til I wake up.
It doesn't irritate my skin nor give me breakouts too.
But I don't use it in the morning. Since it is a serum, it is more concentrated compared with emulsions. It can still get my face oily even if it is water based, especially when I have my makeup on.

LIKES:
Really moisturizing
Feels light on skin. No stickiness.
Gets absorbed quickly by the skin
No irritation nor breakouts
lovely packaging
Locally available
Kind of affordable

DISLIKES:
None so far

Would I buy again?

Probably, but like most of the products I review, I'm still willing to try out other products so it may take a while for me to buy the same product.

So, have you tried the Tony Moly Aqua Aura Serum yet?
How about the other items in the Aqua Aura line?

Pinkie Swear Haul

Hi everyone!

A few days ago, I was in Cebu for the Sinulog with my sister and friends.
Before heading back to Manila, we had lunch at Ayala Center, Cebu and I did a few window shoppings that led to a few purchases. :P

So while I was browsing stuff at Watsons, I saw this pink stall with all the pink packaging and thought that it was cute. I interviewed the SA and found out that the brand is called Pinkie Swear Collection or Pinkies Collection and it is a sister company of James Cooper Makeup.

The products are very affordable! Cheaper than James Cooper. The packaging of the products is a mixture of pink and black. Most of the cases look a lot like MAC's but of cheaper quality. Though it is really a good buy considering the price.

I bought their bestseller, the makeup base. I have quite a number of makeup bases/primers already but the flavour, Milk, sold it for me.
I also bought a matte lipstick, shade is Champagne Bubble and a cute eyeshadow in Salmon. The SA even gave me a free eyeshadow case and eco bag! Yayyy!
Will make reviews on this so hope you wait for them! :D

I also bought a few more items because the SA's there are soooooo nice and accommodating.

4U2 DFY9 Liquid Eyeliner
4U2 Glitz Shimmer Mascara in Brown
and I also got a free sample of 4U2 Posh 2 Way Foundation! Yayyy!

And finally bought 4 Watsons Mini Wet Wipes
and
Glam Works Hand Cream in Sweet Berries which are in a promo! Buy 1 Take 1! Oh yeah!

When I left Watsons, I also bought some 'pasalubong' for my friends here in Manila. I wasn't able to take pictures though. Oh well! :P

That's all!
I really enjoyed the week long vacation I spent in Cebu and Bohol. Definitely hoping for a next time!

Cheers!

Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipstick Trio

Hi Ladies!

How's your weekend so far?
Mine's a bit busy with all the tasks I have to do for different reasons. Gaaah! But anyway, I'll just do a blog post about something that might interest most of you.

When my sister came back here in Manila for a vacation from her studies in AU, she brought along her favourite makeup goodies that she knew I haven't tried yet.
And some of these makeup are...

Korres Liquid Lipstick Trio

I haven't even tried any product from that brand yet nor was I aware of the brand at all. Haha! So much beauty stuff yet to be discovered by yours truly. :P

I did a quick research though and found out that Korres is a Greek brand that started in 1996. It focuses on makeup and skin care using mostly natural ingredients.
If you'd like to find out more about Korres, visit their website.

Anyway, these liquid lipsticks come with a doe wand applicator.
Makes it very easy to apply since it is in liquid form.

The shades are the following:
28 - Berry
54 - Fuchsia
13 - Soft Pink

Here's a heads up about this products from sephora.com :

What it is:
A cooling, water-based liquid lipstick rich in line-smoothing, antioxidant-rich raspberry and pomegranate extracts.

What it does:
This cooling, water-based formula contains the natural raspberry and pomegranate extracts to protect against free-radical damage and smooth lip lines for softer, more youthful-looking lips. It glides on with the creamy texture of a lip gloss and has the long-lasting, vibrant finish of a lipstick.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan

My sister said that these are currently her favourite lippies so I had high expectations when I finally had a chance to try them out.
And honestly, they really are great!
Very pigmented, easy to spread and never dried my lips. Nice scent too!

Here are the swatches for proof!

(From left to right)
Berry, Fuchsia, Soft Pink

And here are pictures of what they look like on my lips:

My Bare Lips

28 - Berry

54 - Fuchsia

13 - Soft Pink

Berry and Fuchsia resembles in shade a lot but they both are stunning! My favourite would have to be soft pink! It just has this lovely finish on my lips and it would look great with a natural look or with very smokey eyes. But the darker colors (Berry and Fuchsia) have better staying power.

These lippies remind me so much of my favourite lip glosses from LipFusion. Check out my post about it here.

Have you tried any Korres Raspberry Antioxidant Liquid Lipsticks before or any other product from the brand yet? Share, share!

Cheers!

Review: BADGAL Lash

Hello ladies,

Today, a quick review of Benefit's BADGAL lash. This was included in the I am Glam... therefore I am kit that Dawn had given me before. This is the Little Bit of BadGal Lash and not the full sized BadGal Lash though.

I actually like this product. The one that was originally included in my kit was already disposed and the one I used for this post is the new one that I bought from Canada.

Here's the brush. It's quite a regular looking brush but it does get the job done.

I like the consistency of the mascara. It's not very heavy on the lids and not very thick as well. I was previously using Maybelline's Volum Express and found it too messy at some point so when I saw this, it was like a breath of fresh air.

Swatched on hand

Without

Once coat

Two coats

So this one doesn't really have much of a volumizing effect. It does have somewhat of a lengthening effect and is fairly water proof. Since it's really light, it does hold my lashes up for quite sometime. Sadly, it does not have that auto-curling property and does not some building up if you want your lashes to be vavoom. But it is a great product for toned down looks and some of those easy pick me up make ups.

It's also a plus that they have a small version and a regular sized version. I always have some regrets whenever I buy regular sized mascaras since I rarely use them on an everyday basis. I wear my glasses everyday... especially now that I changed my lenses to transition lenses... so wearing a mascara is not very advisable, as mascara-d lashes tend to rub onto the lens and blur them... worse scratch them. Plus it's annoying when you blink cause your lashes graze your lenses. SO, it's great that they have a mini version.

What I like:
Packaging
Mini and Regular Versions
Light formula
Lengthening
Strong Hold
Water proof

What I don't like:
A little pricey
Needs building up (takes too much time for me since I'm lazy)
Not volumizing
No auto-curling property

Will I buy again?
Maybe... if my aunt would buy me one from Canada. :) haha...

That's it for this really quick review.

Cheers,
LIZ

Past Holiday's Clothes Haul

Hello guys,

Finally done with my exams! Since I can't really go out shopping to celebrate the end of my torture days, I'll just share with you the shopping I did for the holidays.

New shirt for the New Year from Lhasa

Knit wear finds in Landmark, perfect for the recent cold weather we've been having lately.

And a new super slim pants from Mango... haven't bought a pair of pants in years! This one was a particular fave find since it looks quite a lot like a liquid legging pants. Though I am still looking for a great pair of liquid leggings.

I REALLY want to go clothes shopping in Divisoria soon... or anywhere with great finds and good bargain cause I'm broke. I hope to be able to get some new clothes this year. Anyway, that's it for today. :)

Cheers,
LIZ
