UST @ 400!

UST, our beloved university, celebrated its 400th year last week!
(Pammy, did you go? =D)

The university has prepared quite a number of events, and the juniors of the advertising arts were encouraged to document the celebration for our Photography subject.

Here are some of my shots:

The UST Main Building

The Arch of the Centuries

A concert at the Grand Stand where various celebrities performed such as Sarah Geronimo, Gary V., and Erik Santos.

The Unveiling of the QuattroMondial, UST's Quadricentennial monument

Me and my bestfriend, Liz, with the artist, Mr. Ramon Orlina

UST, 400 years of Unending Grace. Go USTe!

Me with a tiger hat on which we bought for my bestfriend, Rica who is currently living in the U.S. (miss you, Kai!)

Of course, the much awaited Fireworks!

And because I am a proud Thomasian for almost 17 years now, I made my own nail art using the UST color scheme!

Black, Gold, Black, White!

Review: Ever Bilena Mousse Concealer

Hello everyone!

One of the best local finds so far is the:

Ever Bilena Mousse Concealer in Pure Beige
12g (quite a huge amount for a concealer!)
Php 175
Available in Watson's

Dawn's Take: I love this! It's my perfect shade - I am a MAC NC30. I don't really use a concealer, relying always on a full-coverage foundation like Revlon Colorstay or MAC Studio Fix Fluid. But when I ran out of both, I immediately bought this one and I am very happy with it! I've been using it for a month already. Among the cheap concealers I've tried (NYC, Dollface), this blendable baby outperforms them all. Coverage is very good and it creases on me only after 6 hours - and that's only when I am very oily already. I will definitely repurchase unless I find a better but still affordable alternative! Pet peeve - packaging isn't creative. It looks like Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse Foundation. Ever Bilena should hire me for designs, haha.

Trace's Take: Calling this a mousse concealer is misleading - this stuff is semi-hard and semi-creamy! I have tried to use this product as a sheer foundation using a damp sponge, but sadly I should have stuck with it as concealer. As the latter, it performs nicely though I find that it creases on me after 3-4 hours on my oily skin. Though I like the spreadable consistency, it still cannot replace my Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. But pretty decent for a local product that's affordable!

See how pigmented it is! You have to pack it on well, though.

3 hour makeup + photoshoot with Liz

We had a plate for my photography subject to make an article about our interests so i went with cosmetics and makeovers. So here are a few good shots i took.

The model I chose for my article is my best friend, Liz. We were in a rush to do this shoot because I had to pass it in 2 days and when she got to our house, she has to leave in 4 hours because they have an activity in their church that day. Makeup was done by me and the pictures were shot in our house (good thing my room has a big window for good lighting).
The "No-Makeup-Look"

 Evening Look

This one is inspired from a tree experiencing the four seasons. It was actually applied on the spot. lol. :P

Hope you like this post! Hopefully I get a good grade on this. :)

Btw, Liz, if you're reading this, DON'T EVER WEAR THAT BLOUSE AGAIN. haha.

Meet Theodore and Francesca

Hi Girls!

Sorry for the lack of post. We've been really busy. One reason is that I have a ton of projects to finish and one of them is this plate for our Ad design subject. We are tasked to do a Pixilation Animation wherein we will make a film using a lot of pictures instead of videos. Good thing is that it is done in groups of 6 and of course I'm with my closest friends

Vireza and Anna (just to name a few).

So the short film will revolve around a date between Theodore and Francesca!

So here's our lead actor, the cute, korean-looking, Theodore!

And our beautiful and sexy actress, Francesca!

Makeup of Francesca is done by yours truly.

Hopefully they let me post our short film in the blog when it is done! :P

Hi Girls!

Just sharing a little something I made with my best friend, Liz's nails.
I always wanted to do nail art. Unfortunately, I do not have much of the materials to do it so I'll have to settle with simple designs such as this. She requested something simple and light so I thought of doing a candy cane inspired look because of the holidays but I don't have a mint green colored nail polish. haha! :P

(Sorry for the blurry picture. Only had a phone cam with us.)
