Review : Human Heart Nature 100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub

Hey beauties!

With all the pollution and sunlight I let my skin face everyday, I make sure I use products that are least harmful to my skin. And I believe that these products are those that are mostly natural/organic.

So for my current facial scrub, I bought one from a brand that is known to use no harmful chemicals - Human Nature!

Human Heart Nature 100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub

A 50ml tube is worth Php105.00. I bought mine at Beauty Bar, Robinsons Magnolia.
It is very, very, very affordable! It's one of the reasons I love buying stuff from Human Nature, they don't hurt the wallet much. Haha!

So here some info from the back of the tube:

It's 100% Natural, and cruelty-free! No parabens and other toxic substances!

Product description from the website:

Exfoliate your skin the natural way with our 100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub! Made with real strawberry seeds and fine bamboo granules to soften your skin while gently removing dirt and toxins, our facial scrub allows you to show off your healthy, smooth and luminous complexion without compromising your skin!

Did you know: Salicylic acid, one of the most common ingredients found in many chemical facial scrubs, is designed to fight acne and is also used as an exfoliant. According to cosmeticsdatabase.com, salicylic acid may have harmful effects on your brain, nervous and reproductive system and can act as a skin irritant and penetration enhancer allowing other harmful chemicals to penetrate deeper into the skin. Because of this, its use is restricted in Canadian and Japanese cosmetics. So why use it in yours?

Here's what the product looks like when squeezed out:

It's thick but not sticky and the beads for this scrub is actually strawberry seeds! Fascinating, right? It also has bamboo granules which are probably finer since I myself can't see it but you can actually feel it when you are using the product.
The scent is of raw strawberry. I would have preferred the scent of a strawberry milkshake though but the scent gives off the organic feel to it. Anyway, it still smells yummy!

I have been using this for 3 weeks now, thrice a week and I never experienced any drying on my skin. I never had breakouts of skin irritations as well. Whenever I use this, I really feel like my skin is oh so clean!

But would I buy again?
Honestly, I'm torn since I'm used to rougher but finer beads in my facial scrubs.
My face is acne prone so I get some blackheads and whiteheads here and there time to time and this doesn't help much in lessening/preventing them compared to some scrubs I have used before.
But all in all, I think this is a great facial scrub and would suit all skin types! I encourage people to try this out themselves. It's super affordable so why not? right?

Cheers!

Etude House Milk Talk Body Wash in Strawberry

Hello lovelies!

Milkkkk!!!
I just love milk! I love milk based products.
Pastillas, Leche Flan, and Cheese! Yumm yumm!
I also prefer beauty items that has milk such as body washes, lotions and body scrubs.

So whenever I go shopping, I usually grab those items that have milk on their labels. It's become a habit of mine.
And one of those that I got which I'm soooo happy I did is...

Etude House Milk Talk Body Wash in Strawberry

This super cute bottle is Php 298.00 and hold 200ml of the product.

Well, I don't speak Korean so I looked for the product details at EH Singapore's website:

So yeah, the description can use some more improvement. :P

Anyway, this is what the product looks like when squeezed out:

A little product goes a long way.
It lathers pretty well. It's so foamy which makes me enjoy taking baths even more!

I usually use it with loofas or bath sponges.

This product smells so good - like strawberry ice creams! Mmmmm!
When I rinse it off, I feel so clean and moisturized!

Super loving this product from Etude House! I'm so gonna buy the other scents - Banana, Apple, Steamed Milk and Chocolate! :)

By the way, we might seem a bit less active lately. My sis, Trace, just got back from Australia so we're off doing sisterly bonding and such. But I promise more exciting posts soon! Just look at these items she got me!

Yayyy! Beauty products galore!

Hope you stay tuned for this!

Cheers!

Review: Nivea Lipbalms

Hey girls!

Chapped Lips. Don't you just hate that?
And since the weather is getting cooler recently, our lips can get a little chappy at times.
That's why I always bring a trusty lip balm with me at all times!

I've tried quite a number of lip balms. Some were good but some weren't.
How do I determine which lip balm is good? Well here are the most important features of any lip balm for me:

♥  It MOISTURIZES!!!
♥  Its scent (I don't like overpowering ones)
♥  Not too buttery or slippery on the lips

And all of these characteristics are present in these little tubes from the NIVEA Lip care.

These tubes were sent to us to review. I've tried all of them and also asked some trusted friends to try them out as well to get their opinions.

Here's what we all think about the these products:

PROS:

  • It moisturizes.
  • It's a good base for lipsticks. The colors aren't too loud and it's not too glossy.
  • The scent is there but not over-powering.
  • It comes in different flavors!
  • It very affordable. Around Php100 or less.
  • It's highly available in Watsons and leading supermarkets and drugstores.
  • Cute packaging. Very easy to carry around.

CONS:
        • Nothing so far. :P

I've also provided individual swatches for each tubes. Some have added feed backs too. I've also put the ingredients and what the product promises to give.

My sis is currently using this one.

Her feed back: It's really a good lip balm. It prevents dry lips and acts as a good base for lipsticks. It performs well but I don't consider it a potential HG lip balm.
It gives a dark red shimmer on the lips

♥♥♥

My Feed Back: I love its rosy scent. I love the scent of roses! :)

It gives a sheer pink shimmer on my lips.

♥♥♥

My feed back : Probably my favorite of the 4. I love strawberry lip balms and the sheer red color makes my lips look healthy!

It gives a sheer red shimmer on the lips.

♥♥♥

My bestfriend, Liz, is currently using this.

Her Feed Back : It makes my lips look pale and very shimmery so i don't think I can wear it alone and without other makeup. I guess it would suit women with fairer skin.

It's gives a very shimmery pale pink color on my lips

There you go!
