New Hair Color—Red Ends!

Hello loves!

After a stressful month, I decided I want something new. I wasn't particular about what that "new" thing is. Yeah I've been shopping (if you've seen my latest haul post), but I wanted MOREEEE. And so I decided to do this...

May-June (2017) Haul

Hey dolls!

I've been having troubles deciding on my next steps in life. Haha! I am still nowhere near completing my thesis for grad school and I dunno if I should start a business or find a higher paying job. LOL

One thing is certain, I still like buying beautiful things. And that is why I need to decide ASAP! #PressureMuch

Anyway, here are the latest products I added to my beauty and also art and home supplies:

First off, my package from Althea last month:
Healthy Vinegar Skin Toner in Wine - PhP 480.00

It's in wine!!! Haha! Well, I have read that apple cider vinegar is good for the skin so even though this is not exactly the same thing, might as well give it a try. Haha!

Nightingale Eraser Toner Daily Derma Astringent in Fresh Peach - PhP 770.00

I actually just browsed Althea in search of a new toner so that I can just join in with my officemates in their order so that we don't have to pay individual shipping fees. I ended up buying two toners and other things. LOL

4D Pore and Balance Solution Foam Cleanser - PhP 240.00

It's My Cushion Case in Pink - PhP 235.00

I've been intrigued with this since I saw it some months ago. I have some extra foundations and skin care lying around that I want to finish and I thought that I can create a personally mixed cushion.

Tony Moly Panda's Dream Eye Patch - PhP 50.00

Because eye patches are LOVE!

During the start of the month, I shared a press release from Daiso showing some of their new items. The post also got me interested to check them out again and I bought some stuff!

Markers and Drawing Ink - PhP 88.00 each

A drawing ink that's affordable at that size! Woot! Gonna share some of my works using that soon. ;)

Mini Dustpan and broom
Kitchen Sponge for bottles (I use this for my big thermos)
PhP 88.00 each

Laundry Bag and Baby Wipes
Handy for traveling!

Cooling Mat for pets
PhP 88.00

My pet shih tzu loves using this!

Yoga Mat - Php 88.00
It's not as thick as I want it to be but I actually have an older one (that's as thin as this one) that I place underneath this.

 Dishwashing liquid - PhP 88.00

I also bought other items like a hand bag with red stripes design, some cake and chocolate decorating tools, and an ice cream scoop!

Human Nature Natural Feminine Wash in Chamomile Cool
I forgot the price. Haha! My friend Helen recommended this. I have yet to use it as I'm finishing the one I currently have.

It's also my first time visiting a Mumuso store! I went to their Fishermall branch. These are the items I brought home...

Banana Milk Beautiful Skin Shower Gel - PhP149.00
The smell is soooooo gooooood! I even use this as hand soap so I can smell it often. Haha

Spring Hydrating Spray - PhP 88.00

I like facial mist and I just got curious about this one because it is unscented. I actually like fragrant once but I have an officemate who doesn't like floral scented ones so just for the office, I have an unscented one.

Not in the photos are a square handle comb and cotton pads, both PhP 88.00

And finally, I took advantage of BeautyMNL's mid year sale. Wooot!

PRO Studio Beauty Exclusive 10-Piece Expert Class Oval and Linear Brush Set
PhP 999.00 from PhP 2,800.00

I've always wanted a set. I like the finish of my makeup when I have this brush. I alternate it with my beauty blender.

Maybelline Fashion Brow Mascara
PhP 174.00 from PhP 249.00

My brows badly need this.

#InWithTheBold Bundle 1:
1 Listerine Healthy White (500ml) + 2 Maybelline Loaded Bolds (Pitch Black & MidnightDate) - PhP 599.00 from PhP 823.00

I AM IN LOVE WITH MIDNIGHT DATE! Stay tuned for the swatch post!

And that's all the products I bought! Haha! Which ones are you most excited about for a review? Let me know!

NOTD: Vanilla Fruitcake

Hey everyone!

Just sharing a quick NOTD!

So I was feeling like going for a colorful but glittery look to uplift my stressful days because of so many papers I have to write so I took some of my glittery nail polishes and created the NOTD seen above.

I used the following polishes:

Holika Holika Magic Pop Nail Natural in 04
Tony Moly's Lacquer Glitter GI08 Jingle Bell
Diou Vernis in No. 11 (I think this is a rip off of the Dior Vernis. Haha! I can't remember how I got it)

So I used the Holika Holika polish as base then topped it with the glittery polishes.

Because of the "Christmasy" finish of the polish from Tony Moly, it accidentally looked like a fruit cake... but a lighter version!

It does look festive, but I guess it does not really suit my personality much. Haha!

And that's my NOTD! :P

Tony Moly Timeless Ferment Snail Sun Cream

Hey loves!

Almost two weeks ago, I published a list of products that I've been using for this year's summer season. If you've seen the list, you might find that I use many products on my skin (haha!). I know it takes so much time and effort but I really do not mind all that, as long as the combination of all items is effective on my skin. Though I do appreciate it when I get to save some time applying stuff with the use of products that provide more than one benefit. Just like this one from Tony Moly...

Tony Moly Timeless Ferment Snail Sun Cream
The price is Php 1,398.00.

According to the press release I received, this product "...has SPF 47 PA++ for optimum protection from the sun’s harmful rays. Aside from SPF, this cream contains fermented snail filtrate from snails fed with golden green tea. This filtrate has anti-wrinkle, brightening ,and nourishing properties. Best part is you get all these benefits without the greasy feeling!"

Here's the description of the product from the packaging:

As indicated in the description, this product is a sunscreen and a moisturizer in one! And if you love your skin, you should know better than to skip your sun protection and skin's hydration! Without those two, advanced skin aging is inevitable!

The sun protection in this one is no joke. For daily use, SPF47 and PA+++ is really good! SPF is to protect the skin from UVB, which causes sunburns, while the PA rating is the amount of protection against UVA, which hastens skin aging and also causes sun related skin cancers. I found this info from beautyficient. Check the website out if you want to learn more about sun protections.

This product moisturizes as well, I believe. It has snail secretion which has been used since ancient times for skincare according to The Dermatology Review's article. It is said that these creams can help regenerate and repair skin cells. It has been a popular ingredient in skincare, especially in Korea. I haven't tried a lot of products containing snail secretions but I am guessing that they really do work considering so many people buy these kinds of products. My mom actually bought some when we were in Jeju. I'll ask her if I can have one just to try them myself.

For this particular product though, I skip using my morning moisturizer and rely on what this product can do for my skin. For the past couple of weeks of usage, I think it does the job well! I don't have dry skin (I actually have oily skin), so I am not entirely sure of the extent of how much moisturization it can do, but for my skin, the moisture it gives is just enough for my skin throughout the day.

Here's how it looks like.

The product is a little thick... thicker than the moisturizers and sunscreens that I've been using. It's quite sticky too, which I observe many snail products are like. I usually do not like thick and sticky products but this one gets absorbed by the skin easily after a couple of minutes. It instantly feels lightweight. I apply my makeup on top of it and my face doesn't feel like it's wearing layers and layers of products.

When I spread it, it doesn't leave my skin white unlike many sunscreens, so it doesn't make my face look awkward. YAY! It's so easy to spread on the skin as well.

Is it whitening? I don't know... I don't think so... or at least I don't notice any difference. I'm not into whitening anyway so I don't really mind if it doesn't. :P

As for the packaging, a big YES for the pump and that it's a tube type! Love the combination! I get to control the amount dispensed easily with the pump, plus, if I'm almost finished with it, I can just cut the tube to get the rest of the product out! I would get my money's worth for sure considering this is a little more pricey than the products I have been using. Design-wise, it looks classy and expensive! Love it!

And that's all I have to say about Tony Moly's Timeless Ferment Snail Sun Cream. If you're looking for a two-in-one product that hydrates and shields the skin from the sun, then I recommend you check this out and experience it yourself. ;)

Have you tried this product yet? What about the other items from the Timeless line?

Tony Moly Cats Wink Clear Pact in 01 Clear Skin

Hey loves!

Recently, whenever I retouch my makeup, my friends usually notice how cute my pressed powder is. Just look at it!

Who doesn't love cute kitty designs???
I love cats because they're just tooooo adorable and this product from Tony Moly is equally as adorable...

Tony Moly Cats Wink Clear Pact

You can get this product for only Php 498.00.

This product comes in two shades: 01 Clear Skin and 02 Clear Beige. The one I have is the former although I think that Clear Beige would suit me more. Clear Skin is just too light for me.

The product is a pressed powder that promises a matte and natural finish for your skin. Check out the product info from the press release:

"When travelling, oil-free and photo-ready skin is a must! Keep a Cats Wink Clear Pact in your hand carry for easy touch-ups. This powder pact provides a natural and matte coverage without irritating the skin. Perfect for those Instagram-worthy travel photos!"

Just like what was mentioned in the press release, this product is always in my kikay kit mainly for touch ups. I usually use foundations and BB Creams before going out of the house, but having oily skin will make my face look all shiny within a few hours. So I blot and retouch my makeup more often than others and the Tony Moly Cats Wink Clear Pact has been a dear friend of mine since the time I opened it a couple of weeks ago.

But before I go on about the powder, let's discuss the packaging. It's housed in a very cute plastic kitty compact. Besides the cutie design and that it's pink, I love that it's still not too bulky so it doesn't consume too much space in my kit. I love that it has a built-in mirror so it is great when traveling.

I also like that it comes with a soft puff applicator, but I usually use a kabuki brush with this because I find the finish of the product on my skin better.

The powder itself has a cat paw design that adds to the cuteness of this. When you swipe the powder, you can feel how silky it is. The powder is scentless as well so good news to those who avoid scented face products.

The coverage is somewhere between light to medium. I don't buff too much product on my skin because the shade is too light. I just add enough to make my skin shine-free, I appreciate that you can apply only a sheer amount. Anyway, here's a swatch on my arm:

It has pigment to it but it won't affect your foundation if you're wearing any. Like I said, the coverage is not heavy so you don't have to worry with the powder altering the shade of the base that you are using (provided you don't apply too thickly). It effectively makes your skin look matte but not too matte that your face looks flat! I think it gives a natural finish actually. Although I do see a problem when you have areas that are flaking off. This could be an issue if you have dry skin because the dry patches would be more visible with this powder. To avoid this from happening, keep your skin well-hydrated and exfoliate those dead skin!

I do have oily skin so having dry areas on my face is not my problem, having an oily and shiny face is, and I am glad to say that this helps in controlling oil. I usually use powder on top of my foundation or BB cream to prolong my makeup and help control the oil on my face and this product does that without causing any caking on my makeup. And I don't encounter any breakouts nor irritations when I use this.

Overall, this is a cute and awesome product from Tony Moly. I recommend you try this out. Just make sure that you moisturize well and you'll have a shine-free, photo-ready skin! :)

And oh, Tony Moly Philippines has an on-going Facebook giveaway! Just take a shine-free selfie and you can get a chance to win a Cats Wink Clear Pact! Last day to send is on the 31st! You can join here.

Tony Moly Make HD Hair Lotion

Hey guys!

The air is a bit dryer than usual which made my hair more frizzy. My hair mousse ran out and I remembered I bought this product from Tony Moly last October that I haven't opened yet. I figured this would be the proper time to use it...

Tony Moly Make HD Hair Lotion

I bought this for Php 228.00. I thought it was quite affordable for a 200ml tube of hair product. I thought that this will help my curls look better. My hair is damaged and frizzy and I'm open to trying out different products to see what will work best for it.

So let's get to know the product first by reading what's labeled on the tube:

I use this every morning after I shower. I towel-dry my hair first the apply this product. I concentrate it more at the ends of my hair and not much on top of my hair since that area isn't much of a problem.

The product is cream type with a fruity scent. It's not too thick... if I have to use a comparison, it's just like an emulsion, not as thick as a night cream. It doesn't cause any sticky feeling and it doesn't make my hair hard like what hair sprays do.

Check out how it works on my hair:

Left: without product
Right: with product

It does tame the frizziness of my hair as seen on the photos, but not as good as when I use  my mousse. It doesn't help define the curls either... But what it does better is that my hair feels smoother and smells better than when I have the mousse on. I actually think that this is a good product and very affordable too, but I think this will work better with people with straight or wavy hair than to those with permed or curly hair.

And those are my thoughts on this product. What do you think of the Tony Moly Make HD Hair Lotion?

EOTD: Subtle Shimmer

Hey dears!

I bought a cute floral dress from Dorothy Perkins and since it's so feminine and it already has a strong print, I wanted to go a little simpler but I still want it to look fun and feminine.

I went with shimmery shadows without my usual eyeliners to further define my eyes. I let my lashes do that for me. For the rest of my makeup, I went with soft pink shades to pair with the light and sparkly eye makeup.

That's the floral dress I was talking about. :)

Here are my close up pictures of my eye makeup (with the bushy brows LOL):

Here's a list of the makeup I used for this EOTD:

Here's a list of the other products used on this look:

Just use a shimmery pink on the lids, contour it with a gray-brown shade and finally dab some white glitters at the center. Use a purple liner at the outer lower lash line and use a silver-ish one at the inner corners up to the middle part. Finally, use a volumizing and lengthening mascara for the lashes!

And there you have it! My super simple and super easy to do eye makeup.

It's a very light and cute look. I think it would be a nice day time Valentines day makeup look, don't you think so?
