Christmas Haul (2013) Part 2.5

Hello dears!

More Christmas shopping was done but for this post, the items are all bought by my sister, Tracy, for herself. :P So don't expect any reviews from me since I wouldn't be using them. Hehe. :) I'm just posting this as a price reference. :P

Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation in 080 Deep Ochre.
Php 2,300.00
She actually bought this for her even though she already bought a Foundie from Bobbi Brown so that we can avail of their promo which was her Christmas gift for me. More on that on my next haul post soon. :P

She also bought this lipstick, Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in BE306.
Original price is Php 1250.00 but it was on sale and we got it for Php 937.50.

Here's a swatch on my hand. :)

She actually bought this when she was still in Sydney on the way to the Philippines. Regular price of this in SY is $68 but she got this in Duty Free SY for only $54.

Snoe Eyebrow Gel Corrector in Khaki - Php 899.00

And we also shopped in Landmark again. Here are the items she bought (I lost the receipt so I'm sorry if I can't provide the price for some of the items):

This pretty pouch is actually a brush set. She's been looking for  a small set she can carry while she travel.

It contains 7 brushes that are really soft and the set is very affordable for only Php

More brushes that's around Php 50-150 each.

Max Factor False Lash Effect (Waterproof) - Php 695.00

Earrings - Php 79.75

I actually bought a necklace like this but my sis liked it too so she got one for herself - Php 339.75.

She also bought this foldable desk mirror - Php 179.75

It's very portable and looks chic!

Here's what it looks like when it's set up.

A hair brush

and some hair accessory (bobbie pins - Php 34.75)

She also bought around 6-8 pieces of clothing that are currently in the laundry so I wasn't able to take photos.

I'm sure we will do more shopping soon so rest assured there'll be more haul posts pretty soon. :P

Review : Tony Moly Party Lover Coloring Browcara in Light Brown

Hello loves!

Looking for a product to match your hair color? Then a brow mascara is what you need! I've been getting my haired colored lately and my brows are thick and black which obviously doesn't look good with my reddish brown hair.

So I've been trying out different brow mascaras out there just to lighten the strands. One of the products I've used is...

Tony Moly Party Lover Coloring Browcara
This is Php 348.00.

I bought this a couple of months ago at their store in SM North.

The packaging is pretty simple—just a brown tube with few labels (that I can't read Lol).

So here are some info from their website:

It comes in 2 shades. Mine is in light brown though I think I should have gotten the Grey Brown first. :P

Here's the wand. It's uneven since one side has shorter bristles than the other. The size is just right to easily apply the mascara on the brows. The wand gets an appropriate amount of product for each brow.

As directed on the info, apply first opposite the hair strands then brush it according the strands after. But before I apply this, I use a brow pencil to fill the gaps on my brows.

I actually have too dark brows that it doesn't look good in one coating. See the picture above.

So I apply two coats. I let the first coat dry first before adding another one.

Here's the final look of my brows after two coats.

The product doesn't wear off easily. Even if I have oily skin, it sticks pretty well. It lasts the whole day provided you don't scratch or wipe your brow area. Also, this product isn't  metallic unlike some of the brow mascaras I've used before.

What I LIKE:

-Long-lasting
- Affordable
- Locally Available
- Easy to use
- Not metallic

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Only comes in two shades (I wish they have a redder version for my hair match)

Would I repurchase?
I like it but I'm not too impressed since I still need to coat my brows twice to get the desired color. I guess I'll have to try other brands first.

So what are your thoughts on Tony Moly Party Lover Coloring Browcara in Light Brown? Do you wear brow mascaras too? From which brand do you use?

Laneige Pore Tight Essence

Good evening ladies,

The past few months have been a really bad month for my skin. I'm badly in need of skin care and most of my stuff are running out. So after a year, I'm finally able to try this one out.

Since this is only a sample size, this review will be quite short. The product's quite light and leaves a thin smooth film and like the products in this collection, they have a little cooling effect on the face when it's applied. The pore minimizing effect is noticeable from the moment you apply the product on. Also it's quite good that I have not had any break outs after using the products.

The scent is also really enticing. I really wish I had the full size though to give a more thorough review... but well, money is a little hard to come by especially during the holidays. So I hope this short sharing of mine has helped you a little to consider this product.

Well, that's it.

Cheers,
LIZ

Review : Holika Holika Pro Beauty Tinted Rouge in Red Carpet

Hello ladies!

The holiday festivities aren't over yet! The new year is getting closer so why not celebrate the last few days of 2013 with a lippie that can handle all the partying and eating this holiday season.

Holika Holika Pro:Beauty Tinted Rouge (Php 485.00)
This was sent to me by Holika Holika, Philippines a couple of months ago.
This product is available in 10 shades.

The shade I got is Red Carpet.
Super love that I got this because I LOVE red lipsticks. :D

Some info from one of their websites:
I'm a fan of the packaging. It looks so sleek and professional. A little different from the usual cute look of Korean cosmetics but in a good way.

This product is soft of like a lipstain so it's not the usual lipstick with a bullet but it has the same pigmentation or boldness of color and it's not as thick and sticky as a lipgloss, and unlike glosses, it has really, really good staying power.

I also like the applicator because of the hole at the center. It stores enough amount of product for the whole lips. No need to double-triple dip to get that beautiful red shade!

Swatch on paper

Swatch on hand (1 stroke)

On my lips

It has a rosy smell which is one of my favorite scents. LOVE IT!

This product has a creamy, bold red finish that I absolutely adore. Like I said, I love red lipsticks! It looks so sophisticated and sexy. Rawr! But I've read in some reviews that lighter shades need around 2 or more layers to achieve an opaque finish. But with this one, you get this luscious red color with one layer. I guess it still varies with the thickness of the lips. :P

Here's what it looked like on my lips after 5 hours. I even ate lunch and it's still there! Awesome, right?

Lasting power is very impressive as seen on the photo. Plus, even if it's long-lasting and pigmented, it didn't dry my lips nor caused any chapping.

What I LIKE :

- Long-lasting
- Rosy scent
- No drying/chapping
- Pigmented
- Available in 10 shades
- Not sticky
- Affordable
- Packaging

What I DON'T LIKE :

- Availability is limited. Hopefully Holika Holika can open more stores soon. But I believe you can order online if you are far away from SM Fairview. :)

Would I buy again? I probably will try the other shades too such as Dream Girl or Baby Coral. :D

So what are your thoughts on Holika Holika's Pro Beauty Tinted Rouge in Red Carpet? Would you wear a red shade like this or do you prefer pink or nude ones?

Hey dearies!

The Christmas Season is definitely my favorite time of the year with all the food, parties and Holiday SALES!

Been out doing some crazy shopping the past few days and I'll be sharing with you the continuation my major splurge this Christmas season. You can view the first part of the holiday haul here.

First are the purchases I made from Landmark, Makati:

They range from Php 50-200. Except for the Kabuki brush. I think it's around Php 270-300.

I actually still have fine brushes but these ones are really soft and they just look so cute with the bold colors that I just have to have them! I guess it's time for my older brushes to take a break for a bit. :)

A Nail Art Stamping Kit that's around Php 104.75.
It has 5 stencils included already too. With this, I'll be posting more NOTD's for sure! Haha!

More kikay "necessities."

I didn't use money in these products that I got from Glamourbox. I actually won a contest from them and used the Php 1,000 worth of GC to avail these products.
