Wearing My New Colored Hair Proudly : A Hair Color Makeover With L'Oreal Professionnel & Tony and Jackey

Hello everyone!

So I've mentioned in a couple of my previous posts that I have gotten a new hair color care of L'Oreal Professionnel and Tony and Jackey. I was one of the lucky ones to get invited to participate in L'Oreal Professionnel's Wear Your Color Proud Campaign in which they intend to bring proper consultation and diagnosis between client and hairstylist regarding the best choice of hair color for Filipinas whether she is morena, mestiza or chinita.

My appointment was last Sunday at Tony and Jackey, SM Annex. I was allowed to bring a +1 to get a hair makeover for free as well. I have Isha, my giveaway winner with me that day. :D

This is only my second time availing a service from Tony and Jackey and it's my first time here in SM Annex. The salon was pretty big and it has comfy couches where we waited for an hour or two. Turns out, the salon wasn't informed about our appointment yet. Good thing Isha and I had fun talking about random things!

Once everything was settled, we were sent to our seat where we will get our crowning glories colored! My area has this built-in monitor where I can watch shows that featured Tony and Jackey. Cool!

This color selection was shown to me so that I can see the range of colors from L'Oreal Professionnel that are available.

I was eyeing a reddish tone for my hair and I asked my stylist, Ace, if that would suit me.

He picked this shade (the one at the top center) for me! And I completely agreed with him since I was looking at the exact color while looking at the choices!

Of course I had to take my last selfie with my old hair color!
Ace wanted to even out my hair first since I have around 5 inches of "virgin" hair already. So he colored it with the same shade of my previous hair color (golden brown) first.

That's no alien on top of my head! It's a steamer to make the process faster.

After a few minutes,
Voila! Even hair color!

They dried my hair again then applied the new color!

I'm looking more and more excited!

By this time, my +1 was already done! She had like an opposite Ombre (darker at the bottom). You'll see pictures at the later part of the post.

Isha volunteered to take photos for me. Haha! Thank you! :D

And a few more minutes under the steamer again. :P

And look at that bloody head! Haha! I was crossing my fingers hoping that it will turn out good.

Wash, wash, wash! Only a few more minutes to go!

Then they dried my hair and Ace styled it and this is the final look:

One word: GORGEOUS!!!

I LOVE IT! I really, really do! It reminds me of a chili flavored chocolate—spicy and sweet or is it sugar and spice? Haha! Anyway, I can't stop looking at my hair!

Below you can see before and after pictures of my hair:

My hair looks healthier and shinier too!

I'm so thankful that everything worked out great! I was and still am so happy with my hair! I went shopping after this and I got compliments from most of the stores I went in. I felt really pretty that day. HAHA!

Me posing with Ace, my hairstylist.
I really liked how he was hands on during my session. His hands were light and you can really see that he knows what he was doing. I felt confident that my hair will be alright under his care.

And let's not forget Isha! Here's what her hair looks like after the hair makeover!

Gorgeous, right?
She looks blooming with the new hair color! :D

Isha and her hairstylist, Grace.

More pictures of Isha and I looking happy with our new hair color! :D :D :D

And Helen also scheduled her turn that day too. We were done with our appointment when she arrived but I stayed for a few to do some chitchats.
That's Helen looking serious while thinking of what would probably suit her.

After her hair session, we met up so I could see her new color.

Me with Helen and her +1.
The lighting where we took the photo was too warm but you can view her new hair on her blog soon.

I'd like to thank L'Oreal Professionnel for giving me this privilege to avail this service. I honestly love the outcome and I will probably maintain this color for a long, long while! I sure am a proud... errr... I'm actually torn if I am mestiza/chinita/morena... HAHAHAHA! Can you help me determine what I am? I'm 1/16 Chinese so that's probably out. I'm not dark enough to be morena yet I'm not really mestiza... I'm confused... But I'm a proud Filipina nonetheless and I'm proud of my hair color!

And before I end this post, check out this super awesome offer from L'Oreal Professionnel:

MAC Fabulousness 5 Smoky Eyes

Hey loves!

I can't wait to share with you my new hair color that I got last Sunday.
But that will have to wait since it's gonna be a long post and I'm a bit tired to work on it right now. So I'll just share with you this very fabulous eyeshadow palette that a friend of ours gave me.

MAC Fabulousness 5 Smoky Eyes

It was a gift straight from Japan. I'm not so sure how much it is now nor if it is still available in stores.

It contains 5 shades:
Taupeless, Satin Taupe (my fave), Love Spice, Spellcaster and Black Slip

The packaging is just—FAB!
So princess-y and girly! It's soooo me!!! I squealed with joy when I took it off the box the first time! Haha!

It has a mirror and an applicator.
The brush applicator is just okay. I don't use it much since I prefer using my eyeshadow brushes with longer stems.

Here's a closeup of the palette

Swatches on the back of my hand

It's quite pigmented! And those swatches didn't even have primer underneath!
It still creases on my oily lids after 5 hours or so but with primer, it lasts the whole day.

I'm super thankful that I received this wonderful gift (Thanks again!). It's one of my favorite palettes right now. I just love mixing pinks and purples! :D

Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake

Hello guys!

I've been looking for a nice pink, nude shade of lipstick for the longest time. Though I think I've found some that are quite nice, I have a lot that I don't really appreciate much.

There's this lipstick from Essence that I would have liked if it were matte and longer lasting...
Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake
It's around Php 150.00.

Packaging is this cute plastic tube. I think it's youthful but I don't like that the labels rub off easily.

It smells quite nice... sort of like a sweet fruit. It's quite creamy too... I find it too much that it feels quite slippery on the lips. The good part about this is it's really moisturizing.
Here's a closeup of the lipstick

Swatch on my arm

and on my lips

I find it really pretty and a nice shade that can go with most of the looks I do. I just don't like that it doesn't last long. Longest is probably around an hour and a half? Anyway, I'm not very disappointed with it. In fact, I'm liking how good it looks and how moisturizing it is and, of course, how affordable it is!

So what's your take on Essence Lipstick in All About Cupcake?

Event : Wacoal Perfect Fit Party

Hello pretties!

Did you know that around 80% of women wear the wrong bra?
Even if you know what your bra size is, there is still a big possibility that the bra in that particular size is a wrong fit for you. Honestly, I have quite a number of bras that are not the right fit for me. But things are gonna change now that I learned a lot of things from this event I just attended.

Last Saturday, I went to an event by Wacoal in Makati.

It was held in their head office. It wasn't hard to find since I used to work in a place near that building before.

I met up with Helen on the way (we even had matching black clothes! Haha!) and once we got inside the location, we were given instructions on what will take place in the event and even handed us these papers where we can design our own bras!

We started coloring while waiting for our turn to get our sizes measured so that they can personally find the right undergarments for us to fit! Neat!

After they measured us, we took pictures of the place. In front of the office was their store where you can buy different Wacoal products. It's complete with their product catalogs and fitting rooms!

And we also took our refreshments! They've prepared snacks for us! So convenient for me since I was not able to take my lunch. :P

Some club sandwiches

C2 Red Teas — they are one of the sponsors of the event

And these gorgeous cupcakes from Sweet Patti Cakes!

That bra design looks soooo cute! And I definitely love the one with Wacoal's logo on it... It has a cookie-like dough inside. Super yummmm!

For the main event, we had a presentation regarding how Wacoal aims to make every woman feel more beautiful and confident about themselves whatever your shape, age or size is.

But in the middle of a presentation, we had a mini game so that the people inside the room would get to know each other better. I think this made the event more interactive. I actually liked it since most of the people in the event are fashion bloggers which I haven't met before.

After the game, They explained to us how the female body changes while aging. As we get older, our body tissues are not the same anymore and it leads to sagging skin and breasts. And also, our bodies also get fatter or thinner so our sizes change everytime. These events lead to a change in the types and sizes of garments we use.
But why is the right undergarment so important? It is because it makes you feel comfortable and makes the body's figure looking much better leading to a more confident you!

So what are the things you should remember when buying the right bra?

1. Don't neglect the fitting process.
2. Fit the bra and move around it.
3. Don't go to a store that refuses fittings (these are for bras. I understand why they don't allow it for panties, etc.)
4. Try 2 or 3 items on instead of just one.

And they also shared with us the proper ways on how to wear our bras:

After the presentation, Pevonia, one of the sponsors, also took the stage to give us an introduction on what the brand is all about.

Elaine and Jen told us that Pevonia is a Swiss brand that utilize highly advanced technology to create the finest skincare products. They have a wide variety of items that are used in many spas all around the world. Famous personalities like Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Beyonce and Will Smith use it. Pevonia products are cruelty free and has eco packaging (fully recyclable). They also support  environmental conservation and philanthropic organizations.
After the presentation, they gave us loot bags so that we can try their products which I'm sure I'll enjoy using! :D

The event doesn't stop there, we also had fun taking pictures at the photo booth! Here I am posing with blogger friends—Helen, Carizza and Blair!

There were also boxes for each of us containing undergarments in our sizes that we can fit. We can choose items that we want to take home that are worth Php 3,000. But if we wanted more, we were free to buy it. Here are the bras that fit me perfectly:

And below is the loot I received from Pevonia:

And remember the bra designs we made? We just submit them and we get to take home all these too! These are from the other event sponsors— Goody, Mir & Ryvi, Zenutrients and C2.

I guess that's it! I shall update you with how my new bras perform sometime soon. Can't wait to finally use them and of course the other products from the sponsors. Will post reviews soon! :D
