I celebrated Valentine's with my family. We don't really "celebrate" it, we usually just greet each other and think nothing more of the day. But this one is a bit more special than the others because my dad cooked a really great meal, very much like fine-dining according to Facebook friends who've seen the photos of the Valentine's Meal ( I couldn't help uploading haha ). And my mom, made the most delicious apple pie complete with the buttery and flaky crust. :)
And what made it much better was that two of my family members talked to each other (in complete sentences), they've been in a huge fight recently and I'm glad they decided to put aside their differences, even if only for a day. The apple pie helped, I think :))
I celebrated Vday with my college friends. We've been doing it for three consecutive years already. We've never been complete during valentine's day, and this year, we thought that it will be like that again since one of our friends is going through tough times that she separates herself from us. We did things to reach her and show our concern but she still shuns us away. We are trying to help her but she is not giving us the chance. She hesitated to go with us for the dinner but finally she said she'll go! And that night we talked about the issue and I guess she also realized that we are concerned and that we love her. This is our first year that we were complete so it really is a special day for us. :)

ReplyDeleteI celebrated Valentines day with best friend and we went to the mall. We just bought the things we need then we had a snack. To be honest, this year's V-day is just the same as the last but I do think I was able to do more fun things this year. And yeah, just before the clock strikes 12 to officially end the V-day, my aunt gave me a heart shaped balloon. That was a close one. Heheheh :D

My hubby and I supposed to celebrate Valentines day with our daughters since it was my youngest first Valentines day but it was all changed because I have to go to the hospital again and was advised to stay in bed and do nothing because I am bleeding again. I was really disappointed and wished that I just went there the day after. When my hubby and I got home my daughter handed me a card that she made in school and it was a cupid cut-out and commented 'Wow, si Cupid!' but my daughter said "No, Angel yan para hindi ka na sick mommy.'... It was my best Valentines Day ever and I couldn't ask for more.

I celebrated VDay by supporting my officemate to a matchmaking game held in our place. It was lots of fun by being there and hearing his answers. He didn't win though. What made it special is that we were able to make others "kilig" on us by giving each other pick-up lines. It was such a fun day!

I thought my Valentines Day would be just like any other day, ordinary and plain (mostly sad). Recently, my boyfriend and I had a fight. And we almost ended our relationship. Literally, it's hanging on a thread. Days turned to weeks of no communication (at all), that, I decided to swallow my pride and take the first step to mend our relationship and never let this man go out of my life. This man, my boyfriend and also my bestfriend, he's the only one I could be my best self with, and yeah, the only one who would accept me wholly on my baddest form. After we talked through things and agreed to compromise, things begin to have perspective again. And our Valentines Day together was the simplest we ever had but one of the happiest. Just being together, sharing laughs and stories... priceless. True love it is :)

I surprised my super sweet bf with a dinner date to Ilustrado restaurant in Manila, partly because he has never been to Intramuros before.
ReplyDeleteIt was a 5-course dinner in an outdoor garden with singing a capella artists (my boyfriend loves gigs). I also wore the dress, nail polish and bb cream he gave me, because he's so supportive of all my kikay interests :P We had such a great time and took so many pictures. Even though we didn't get to spend the entire day together, it's still one of the best dates we've had <3

ReplyDeleteI celebrated my valentines day with my family. Since, me and my boyfie are in a long distance relationship. But then it's okay! and what made it special this year is that... even though me and my bf are miles away from each other, he really did some effort just to send me some flowers and chocolates - not just for me but also for my family. how sweet & adorable, right?

How did you celebrate Valentines Day and what made it special this year?
ReplyDeleteThis was the most KILIG Vday ever. My crush found out that after graduating, I was leaving my old school to transfer... and because he knows I've been crushing on him for 3 years already, he decided to make a sweet gesture and give me a teddy bear on that day! It was also our sportsfest so I played games and spend the day chatting with friends and simply having fun, after dinner we had dinner as a family and even watched a movie! The most memorable Valentine's Day EVER.

this v-day is very special to me.i was woken up from my sleep by a warm hug from my boyfriend who came home from new york. i was speechless because it was a year since we last saw each other in person.but what shocked me most is that it's only 5am! then he drag me to go into the beach which was 15mins. away from home in my pajamas and didn't allow me to even brush my hair. he scattered a mat on the seashore as we shared coffee in one mug and waited for sunrise. i felt very happy because he's not so expressive and full of surprises before. it was the 1st time and he made come true our fantasy which we have only talked about in skype. i thought i was a lucky girl until sunrise came and he made me the luckiest girl by proposing to me. ohh! we'll be married on oct. 22 this year, the day we first met each other. :)

Hubby and I stayed home. We don't normally observe Valentine's Day. But hubby made my February special by giving me a pair of earrings and a necklace that came in a set. It was our 7th Anniversary as a couple last February 21st and it really surprised me that he made an effort to get me a present this year. I was sick the day he gave it to me so it made me more emotional. =D

It was the first time that my boyfriend and I celebrated Valentines' day in a big city. And just when I thought we wouldn't be able to celebrate because he had to do a lot of overtime on his work for the week, he surprised me with a big bouquet or roses. It was really special because it's the FIRST TIME he was able to give me flowers, as he couldn't afford it before. Apparently I found out he had been staying longer than his office mates at work just so he won't have to go on an overtime for Vday. :)

ReplyDeleteMe and my special someone celebrated valentines in a different way. Since the last quarter of 2012, both of us have been busy with work and have conflicting schedules: I was on day shift and he's in graveyard. So on the day of hearts and love and kilig, we only have an HOUR to celebrate it. Right after work, I immediately headed to his office. I arrived just in time for his break. We didn't have dinner coz thinking of what and where to eat would take up too much time. I handed him my special gift, and he gave me his: a bouquet and a love letter (so highschool :">) then we took a stroll around eastwood, talking about the past, present, future (in a summarized way ofcourse) and when his break was over, we bid each other goodbye :( Its sad that on that one special day a year, you can't pour all your love due to work, but to see your sweetheart even for just a moment eases all that stress.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dawn and Liz! :*
