Review : Missha The Style Silky Soft Foundation

Hi dears!

We've read your posts on our Facebook Page and saw that most of you would like us to post more product reviews. And that, we shall!

For today's post, I'll share my thoughts on...

Missha The Style Silky Soft Foundation

I got it in shade no. 21 - Natural Beige.

I bought this some months ago for around 50-70% off for only Php150.00 but I think it's regular price is around Php480.00 for this 35ml tube.

The back of the tube contains some product description, directions, ingredients and lifespan which is 12 months.

Here are additional descriptions from the Lazada Website:

Get ready for a night out with friends. Sport a party-ready look with Missha’s The Style Silky Soft Base! This easy-to-apply product gives your skin a smooth and radiant finish that will make you stand out. It also controls sebum absorption to keep oil and grease from ruining your perfect moment.

Be the star of the night! Get noticed with stand-out skin from Missha!

  • Perfect for covering blemishes and evens skin tone with a natural coverage
  • Strongly controls and absorbs sebum, as well as controls oil
  • Gives a light and fresh finish that leaves skin lustrous and radiant

So on to the review...

I think the shade is perfect for my asian skin since it has the warm yellow tone. It has a nice, mild scent - sort of herbal or floral... can't really pinpoint what exactly.

It has a thin, almost watery consistency that makes it so easy to blend. It also dries fast on skin. Though it is mostly matte, it also has the luminous finish that makes the skin radiant.

Just look at these before and after photos of my cheek:

The coverage is really good and it really suits my skin well. It didn't leave my skin looking flat too. It is long-lasting but I might have to disagree with the strong oil control part since my face gets oily pretty quickly when I use this. Also, if you have dry skin, it tends to cake so be sure to get your skin well-moisturized before using this.

What I like about it:

Matches my skin with its warm tone
Good coverage
Nice, mild scent
Locally available
No breakouts/irritations
Long-lasting
Radiant Effect
Affordable

What I don't like about it:

Lacks the oil control part
Has tendency to cake, especially with dry skin
Available in few shades - I only know 2 shades (#13 Light Beige and #21 Natural Beige)

Will I buy again?
Probably not. I like it but not as much as some of the foundations I've used for so long. I'm willing to try other products and brands too.

Have you tried Missha The Style Silky Soft Foundation yet?
What do you think about it?

Cheers!

  3. Pinkoolaid - Yeah, the caking part was really disappointing. But it really looks good for the first few hours before it starts to cake. Just make sure your skin is in good condition.

Sharina - It is. I like their BB Creams though I've only used 3 of them. Although they are kinda pricey in stores. :P

  9. Hi Marlene! I got it on sale but it's normal price is around P400. I am not sure where else you can buy this at a lower price right now. Best is to check online stores. :)
