April-May (2018) Haul

Hello loves!

How's your summer so far? The heat index this afternoon was a crazy 41 degrees C! I know some friends who love the summer and love going to the beach, but not me. This heat is killing me!!!

So what do I do to keep myself cool (and sane???)? I usually hang in my room with the air conditioner on and watch some series or just go to the mall and shop! And for today's post, I'll share with you what I have bought during the last two months.

First off is a haul from The Body Shop which is currently having a huge sale! Their items are discounted up to 50% off so go check out the nearest branch and enjoy these cruelty-free products. Here's what I bought:

I just couldn't help myself with these, but I think I got an amazing deal!

August-September Haul (2017)

Hello loves!

It's my birth month and this is my excuse for me to do some MAJOR shopping spree! Weeeeeeeee!!! I've actually saved up for me to afford all these and I'm just happy with every single one of these purchases, and I'm very happy to share them with you by writing reviews and providing the prices and where I was able to get them.

So here they are...

First and foremost, the one that many beauty enthusiasts are watching out for...

...the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.
It's by the one and only Rihanna. I'm not a major fan of the popstar but I do listen to a few of her songs, but after watching reviews of her products, I just might become one! A fan of her beauty line—Fenty Beauty! Wooot! Got this full-size foundation at Sephora Philippines for PhP 1,950.00 and got three deluxe sample sizes! Review will be posted SOON!

Also, I bought a Zoeva En Taupe Palette for PhP 1,106.00. I've been lusting for that palette since the day I saw it while browsing the Sephora website. I thought it was affordable and I love the highlighters I have from the brand so I just really wanna try it. My neutral palette is more on the warm side and I love wearing taupe and pinkish nude colors so I think this palette is a nice addition to my stash.

And I also got the Zoeva Cat Eye Pen for PhP 386.00! I like how black it is.

Last month I went to The Great Luxury Sale and was able to bring home some hugely discounted products. I lost the receipt  so I can't provide the prices of all the products, but I got these babies for more than 50% off...

Make Up For Ever Artistic Essentials
This set has products that I will surely use. What I like is that they are deluxe samples so if I do like any of them, I can buy the full-size.

Sleek Strobing Souffle in Smokey Quarts
Got this for PhP 200.00 only.
I love the color and the chunky glitter!

Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Gel Cream
Got this for only PhP 800.00.
Since I have oily skin, an oil-free moisturizer simply feels better for me.

Aveda Radiance Fluid
Got it for PhP 650.00 only. Yay serums! It claims to "boost skin's natural ability to shed skin-dulling cells."

Chloe Eau de Parfum in Love Story and Elizabeth Arden  Eau de Parfum in Untold
I can't remember the price of each but I think the total of both is PhP 3,500.00.

I also bought some brushes because some of my brushes need to retire already. I decided to go with synthetic ones this time.

7-Piece Unicorn Makeup Brush Set (Pink Gold)
Bought this for PhP 800.00 at BeautyMNL

If I have unicorn ones, I also have a mermaid one! Yay! And they're both Rose Gold!

Neutrogena Deep Clean Daily Scrub and Facial Cleanser
PhP 305.25 and PhP 269.75
I like that these skincare products both have salicylic acid.

Bobbie Nail Polish Remover - PhP 68.00
I really like this Nail Polish Remover. It smells okay and gets the job done quickly.

Kitty-Shaped Essential Oil Diffuser
I bought it for around PhP 600.00. We already have two at home but I still bought it. I just like that it's a cat! Haha!

Faber Castell 4 PITT Artist Pens in Sanguine and Sepia
These are 408.75 each.
I need to do some art soon. I feel like I'm getting rusty!

Below are the things I bought from DAISO. These are mostly PhP 88.00 except for the face brush and the cotton pad case, which are both PhP 188.00.

Baking is something that I'm happy doing lately and that's why I bought these. I plan to make a small cake!

A face brush and the cotton pad case

Tea light candles can be a bit pricey. These are only at Php 88.00. They are thinner compared to those bought at the department stores but they last long enough to make my room smell great.

THREADS! Haha! I have a project in mind. Hopefully I can share it to you once it's done!

And those are the things I bought recently. What among them are you excited about so I can write a review? Comment them below.

Cheers,DAWN

May-June (2017) Haul

Hey dolls!

I've been having troubles deciding on my next steps in life. Haha! I am still nowhere near completing my thesis for grad school and I dunno if I should start a business or find a higher paying job. LOL

One thing is certain, I still like buying beautiful things. And that is why I need to decide ASAP! #PressureMuch

Anyway, here are the latest products I added to my beauty and also art and home supplies:

First off, my package from Althea last month:
Healthy Vinegar Skin Toner in Wine - PhP 480.00

It's in wine!!! Haha! Well, I have read that apple cider vinegar is good for the skin so even though this is not exactly the same thing, might as well give it a try. Haha!

Nightingale Eraser Toner Daily Derma Astringent in Fresh Peach - PhP 770.00

I actually just browsed Althea in search of a new toner so that I can just join in with my officemates in their order so that we don't have to pay individual shipping fees. I ended up buying two toners and other things. LOL

4D Pore and Balance Solution Foam Cleanser - PhP 240.00

It's My Cushion Case in Pink - PhP 235.00

I've been intrigued with this since I saw it some months ago. I have some extra foundations and skin care lying around that I want to finish and I thought that I can create a personally mixed cushion.

Tony Moly Panda's Dream Eye Patch - PhP 50.00

Because eye patches are LOVE!

During the start of the month, I shared a press release from Daiso showing some of their new items. The post also got me interested to check them out again and I bought some stuff!

Markers and Drawing Ink - PhP 88.00 each

A drawing ink that's affordable at that size! Woot! Gonna share some of my works using that soon. ;)

Mini Dustpan and broom
Kitchen Sponge for bottles (I use this for my big thermos)
PhP 88.00 each

Laundry Bag and Baby Wipes
Handy for traveling!

Cooling Mat for pets
PhP 88.00

My pet shih tzu loves using this!

Yoga Mat - Php 88.00
It's not as thick as I want it to be but I actually have an older one (that's as thin as this one) that I place underneath this.

 Dishwashing liquid - PhP 88.00

I also bought other items like a hand bag with red stripes design, some cake and chocolate decorating tools, and an ice cream scoop!

Human Nature Natural Feminine Wash in Chamomile Cool
I forgot the price. Haha! My friend Helen recommended this. I have yet to use it as I'm finishing the one I currently have.

It's also my first time visiting a Mumuso store! I went to their Fishermall branch. These are the items I brought home...

Banana Milk Beautiful Skin Shower Gel - PhP149.00
The smell is soooooo gooooood! I even use this as hand soap so I can smell it often. Haha

Spring Hydrating Spray - PhP 88.00

I like facial mist and I just got curious about this one because it is unscented. I actually like fragrant once but I have an officemate who doesn't like floral scented ones so just for the office, I have an unscented one.

Not in the photos are a square handle comb and cotton pads, both PhP 88.00

And finally, I took advantage of BeautyMNL's mid year sale. Wooot!

PRO Studio Beauty Exclusive 10-Piece Expert Class Oval and Linear Brush Set
PhP 999.00 from PhP 2,800.00

I've always wanted a set. I like the finish of my makeup when I have this brush. I alternate it with my beauty blender.

Maybelline Fashion Brow Mascara
PhP 174.00 from PhP 249.00

My brows badly need this.

#InWithTheBold Bundle 1:
1 Listerine Healthy White (500ml) + 2 Maybelline Loaded Bolds (Pitch Black & MidnightDate) - PhP 599.00 from PhP 823.00

I AM IN LOVE WITH MIDNIGHT DATE! Stay tuned for the swatch post!

And that's all the products I bought! Haha! Which ones are you most excited about for a review? Let me know!

Cheers,
DAWN

Press Release: Make Back-to-School Kawaii with Daiso

Hello everyone!

Classes are about to begin again in most schools (in UST, we just finished our semester and the "summer" break just started). Have you done your school supplies shopping yet? If you haven't, you might want to check out this press release from Daiso. You might find something you (or your child) would like to bring to school!

Make back-to-school kawaii with Daiso

The ordinary just won’t fly in Japan—the Land of the Rising Sun sets the standard for imaginative lifestyle, influencing all aspects of life with a hint of fun and a healthy dose of curiosity.

From home living to school supplies, recreation, and hobbies, the Japanese find a way to spruce up and Daiso-fy life! Such is the defiant charm of Daiso Japan, the truly Japanese store in the Philippines. The store houses multi-functional items and cool finds, hatched from creative and, sometimes, startling ideas.

Cool picks, fresh off Japan
Only Daiso Japan can transform run-of-the-mill desk supplies with added charm and features. While its shelves may be abound with sticky notes, styled paper clips, crepe flowers, calligraphy instruments, and other ubiquitous items, Daiso Japan is still best known for kawaii supplies and surprisingly smart products.

Don’t let your most creative ideas go down the drain with this water-resistant notepad from Daiso.

One ingenious item is the water-resistant notepad. Unlike regular notebooks, these are designed to withstand water exposure, with leaves that protect the ink from running, to keep precious notes fully intact, even under heavy showers.

Another steal from Daiso Japan’s unconventional stock is the no-dust, rolling eraser. Handy for keeping workspaces looking crisp and spotless, this item is definitely among the store’s most practical finds.

Other items in Daiso Japan’s unique list are colourful compact staplers, mini LED lamps, and animal-shaped erasers. These desk knickknacks and other nifty products are guaranteed to stall shoppers for hours, as they make their way along Daiso Japan’s aisles.

Neat freaks can make sure every nook and cranny is free from dust with this magnetic broom and dustpan set, available at Daiso.

From unlikely accessories like mini magnetic broom and dustpan sets, creative implements and craft materials,to adventurous beauty and fashion finds, Daiso Japan gives shoppers the lifestyle options that are too kawaii and too brilliant to let go of.

Explore the nearest Daiso Japan store today and take your pick from the curator of all things Japanese in the Philippines. Follow the store on Facebook @DaisoJapanPH and try your hand at making life your own kawaii canvass.

Liven up your workspace and make note-taking more fun with colorful stationery from Daiso.

I'm thinking of dropping by Daiso myself this weekend. I'll share with you my finds on my future haul posts. Do share some of yours too on the comments below so I could check them out. ;)

Cheers,
DAWN
