FOTD : Christmas Red

Hello loves!

Gonna share the makeup I wore during Christmas day.
It's not fancy or glamorous. It's actually one of the usual looks I wore, but I used products that are either new or haven't shared in the blog before.

I wore a vibrant, matte red lippie paired with nude eyeshadows and a bold winged liner. I added some shimmery neutral colors to add some glow on my face.

So here are the products I used:

Here you'll see the products I used for my face.
You might be wondering why you're seeing too many foundations there. I actually mix the Lancome and TCFS to get the right shade (the Lancome one is too dark and I'm trying to finish it), while the Estee Lauder has the best coverage among my foundations, which I use around my jaw area where I most of my acne scars are at. I'm lazy to put concealer on each scar so I just spread the foundation there. Haha! :P

Above photo shows the products I used for my eyes and brows. I used my new Celeteque DermoCosmetics Eyeshadow Palette here and the finish is pretty good. A closeup of my eyes will be shown shortly. ;)

And to add colors for my cheeks and lips, I used the products above. The star of the look is my Ellana Cosmetics Lip in Luxe in Love is True! This is my current go-to matte red lipstick. :D

Anyway, I can put the list of products sometime soon. For now, you can comment below if you have questions. Haha!

So here's a closeup of the EOTD:

Neutral shades and a bold winged eyeliner to compliment the bold and vibrant red shade of my lips.

Here's how I looked a few seconds after i finished my makeup.

Most of the items I used are matte—my lipstick and eyeshadows. I even add powder on my face to keep it matte. I added some highlighter to add a youthful glow as you can see on the photos!

And that's my FOTD!

What makeup did you wear during Christmas day?

EOTD: My Current Go-To Eye Makeup

Hello loves!

This is not really my "eye of the day" since I wore this last Thursday. I just want to share this eye makeup look that I usually wear nowadays, especially when I'm in a hurry...

I wear this pinkish nude eye makeup partnered with a pinkish nude lippie. It only takes a few minutes to do and I think it would look great on many skin tones.

Here are the products I used:

The Face Shop Eyebrow Pencil in Grey Brown
NARS Audacious Mascara
Dior Backstage Eye Prime
Sephora Book of Wishes Eyeshadow in Wish No. 2 (Be a Role Model)

The look is a mixture of matte and shimmery colors. Since the colors are soft and almost neutral, I paired it with an edgy cat liner wing.

Just blend the shadows well so there's the contrast between the soft colors and the sharp liner.

However, I would prefer a darker eyeliner. Unfortunately, my kuripot (stingy) self do not want to use a new eyeliner until the current one I have dries up or reaches its expiration date. Haha! :P

And that's my current GO-TO eye makeup! Any thoughts?

Let's start with the darkest color, Mannequin

Comments: I love shimmer eye shadow that have very fine glitters/shimmer and this is one of them. The color is not too dark when you apply it and is build-able. It's easy to blend as well.

Next is the midtone, Kitten heel.

Comments: Same comment as above, although the color is too thin. I don't really see how much of a difference even after a second application. The color may improve if there was a lid primer but since I don't have that now, I cannot attest to it. I think this color will be better for those with fairer skin tone.

Comments: This color is the farthest from the one posted in their website. I am not a big fan of it though because after I applied it since it hardly showed. It would be a good base. It may be a great eye shadow for when you're trying a pin-up girl look.

Here's the swatch of the color on my arm, and since the back part of my forearm is lighter than my lids, I guess I am right with Kitten Heel looking better on a person with fairer skin.

Here's the swatch on paper.

I super love this packaging. It's super convenient, you just slide the cover and you're ready to go.

So what do you think of these colors? Share your thoughts and comments below regarding this product.

Lancome Artliner Precision Felt Tip Liquid Liner

Hello dears!

Other than foundations, I think liquid eyeliners are the products that I buy most frequently (mascaras are a close third since it expires pretty quickly like eyeliners). This is why I just love it when my sister sends me some, and I love it even more if she buys me the expensive ones to try. Haha! ;)

Lancome Artliner Precision Felt Tip Liquid Liner

I rarely buy products that are more than a thousand pesos each so getting something from Lancome makes me so happy, especially because it's free! LOL Anyway, I'll just share with you swatches and show you its lasting power.

First off, let's inspect the packaging. It's housed in a classy-looking plastic container. You twist the head to get a pointed felt tip applicator while the body contains the liquid liner.

On the box are important details regarding the eye liner.

Here's more info from the website:

The #1 liquid Liner on the market!

This effortless liquid eyeliner features a unique combination of two film-forming polymers that make every look last. Rich, deep, luminous color pigments offer the most intense color, and its uniquely shaped foam tip pen allows for precise shaping and defining of the eyes.

And it's available in nine shades.

The felt tip makes the application process very easy. It pretty much feels like you're just doodling or writing! The tip is quite sturdy to create those pretty thin lines. I really think that eyeliner beginners will not have much problem using this.

When the liner dries after application, it creates like a sort of ultra thin rubberized film that makes it so easy to remove when you wash it off but it stays really well on skin throughout the day as long as you don't rub it off.

This is how it looks like when swatched once.

I tried to rub it lightly here

Rubbed it harder several times

See? Not even a small smudge happened.

Rubbed under running water

Rubbed hardly with running water

And that's the only time when the product got removed! So yeah, it's really long lasting and quite easy to remove when you want to take off your makeup!

And how does it look when I use it?

There you go!
It's easy to use and it makes it easy to create that eyeliner wing. I do not, however, like that it's not black enough and I'm more into matte black eyeliners.

To make things short, the product's lasting power is pretty impressive. It can last the whole day although there are times that I get little smudges when my skin gets too oily, but that happens very rarely. The applicator makes using the product really easy too. BUT I am not fond that it's not matte and as black as some of the eyeliners I've used. The price is also a big issue (it's around $30 USD) because it is three times more expensive compared to one of my current favorite liquid liners.

I really like this product but I am equally satisfied, if not more, with other products that are more affordable than this one. If you do have the financial ability, I would still recommend this product because I still think it's pretty good, especially if you like having differently colored eyeliners!

Have you tried the Lancome Artliner Precision Felt Tip Liquid Liner yet?

Lancome La Laque Fever Lip Gloss in Lucent Nude

Hi loves!

Here's another swatch post about one of the items my sister got me from AU.

Lancome La Laque Fever Lip Gloss in Lucent Nude

I fell in love with the color as soon as I saw it. It's peachy and nude at the same time!

This is my first lip gloss from Lancome.

I love the applicator because it can carry a generous amount of the gloss. I don't have to dip it again to cover my lips.

The shade is just beautiful! The gloss is pigmented, very opaque. It's not runny and non-sticky and it has a mild floral-ish scent.

Here are photos of my lips with the lip gloss on:

It's a great everyday lip product because of the very wearable shade. It looks fun and fresh and I think it looks perfect for the incoming summer season in the Philippines!

So what do you think of this product? What's your favorite Lancome Lip Gloss shade?

EOTD: Subtle Shimmer

Hey dears!

I bought a cute floral dress from Dorothy Perkins and since it's so feminine and it already has a strong print, I wanted to go a little simpler but I still want it to look fun and feminine.

I went with shimmery shadows without my usual eyeliners to further define my eyes. I let my lashes do that for me. For the rest of my makeup, I went with soft pink shades to pair with the light and sparkly eye makeup.

That's the floral dress I was talking about. :)

Here are my close up pictures of my eye makeup (with the bushy brows LOL):

Here's a list of the makeup I used for this EOTD:

Here's a list of the other products used on this look:

Just use a shimmery pink on the lids, contour it with a gray-brown shade and finally dab some white glitters at the center. Use a purple liner at the outer lower lash line and use a silver-ish one at the inner corners up to the middle part. Finally, use a volumizing and lengthening mascara for the lashes!

And there you have it! My super simple and super easy to do eye makeup.

It's a very light and cute look. I think it would be a nice day time Valentines day makeup look, don't you think so?
