Event : Wacoal Perfect Fit Party

Hello pretties!

Did you know that around 80% of women wear the wrong bra?
Even if you know what your bra size is, there is still a big possibility that the bra in that particular size is a wrong fit for you. Honestly, I have quite a number of bras that are not the right fit for me. But things are gonna change now that I learned a lot of things from this event I just attended.

Last Saturday, I went to an event by Wacoal in Makati.

It was held in their head office. It wasn't hard to find since I used to work in a place near that building before.

I met up with Helen on the way (we even had matching black clothes! Haha!) and once we got inside the location, we were given instructions on what will take place in the event and even handed us these papers where we can design our own bras!

We started coloring while waiting for our turn to get our sizes measured so that they can personally find the right undergarments for us to fit! Neat!

After they measured us, we took pictures of the place. In front of the office was their store where you can buy different Wacoal products. It's complete with their product catalogs and fitting rooms!

And we also took our refreshments! They've prepared snacks for us! So convenient for me since I was not able to take my lunch. :P

Some club sandwiches

C2 Red Teas — they are one of the sponsors of the event

And these gorgeous cupcakes from Sweet Patti Cakes!

That bra design looks soooo cute! And I definitely love the one with Wacoal's logo on it... It has a cookie-like dough inside. Super yummmm!

For the main event, we had a presentation regarding how Wacoal aims to make every woman feel more beautiful and confident about themselves whatever your shape, age or size is.

But in the middle of a presentation, we had a mini game so that the people inside the room would get to know each other better. I think this made the event more interactive. I actually liked it since most of the people in the event are fashion bloggers which I haven't met before.

After the game, They explained to us how the female body changes while aging. As we get older, our body tissues are not the same anymore and it leads to sagging skin and breasts. And also, our bodies also get fatter or thinner so our sizes change everytime. These events lead to a change in the types and sizes of garments we use.
But why is the right undergarment so important? It is because it makes you feel comfortable and makes the body's figure looking much better leading to a more confident you!

So what are the things you should remember when buying the right bra?

1. Don't neglect the fitting process.
2. Fit the bra and move around it.
3. Don't go to a store that refuses fittings (these are for bras. I understand why they don't allow it for panties, etc.)
4. Try 2 or 3 items on instead of just one.

And they also shared with us the proper ways on how to wear our bras:

After the presentation, Pevonia, one of the sponsors, also took the stage to give us an introduction on what the brand is all about.

Elaine and Jen told us that Pevonia is a Swiss brand that utilize highly advanced technology to create the finest skincare products. They have a wide variety of items that are used in many spas all around the world. Famous personalities like Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Beyonce and Will Smith use it. Pevonia products are cruelty free and has eco packaging (fully recyclable). They also support  environmental conservation and philanthropic organizations.
After the presentation, they gave us loot bags so that we can try their products which I'm sure I'll enjoy using! :D

The event doesn't stop there, we also had fun taking pictures at the photo booth! Here I am posing with blogger friends—Helen, Carizza and Blair!

There were also boxes for each of us containing undergarments in our sizes that we can fit. We can choose items that we want to take home that are worth Php 3,000. But if we wanted more, we were free to buy it. Here are the bras that fit me perfectly:

And below is the loot I received from Pevonia:

And remember the bra designs we made? We just submit them and we get to take home all these too! These are from the other event sponsors— Goody, Mir & Ryvi, Zenutrients and C2.

I guess that's it! I shall update you with how my new bras perform sometime soon. Can't wait to finally use them and of course the other products from the sponsors. Will post reviews soon! :D

My Kikay Birthday Party at My Pretty Nails Salon

Hello guys!

Yesterday was a big day for me!
I celebrated my 24th birthday! This party was a little bit more special since I took care of everything from planning it to paying the expenses. Yes! I paid with my own hard-earned money! :D

The party took place at My Pretty Nails Salon. I actually blogged about this place and their services a few months back.

I'm so glad that they let people reserve the place for parties. This was the first place I thought of to have my party in. The place is cute and intimate and the people were very friendly. I had fun when I was here the first time and I wanted my friends to try it out too.

Just look at the adorable chairs...

and the gorgeous chandelier!

They even handled the balloon decorations, plates & utensils, and the drinks!
Thank you so much, Rachelle, for agreeing to do this with me and for being so accommodating to all our requests.

Here's me with Rachelle.

Here's the table with our humble food (yes, I didn't plan much for the food... boo me).

Everything I served were sweets that are very easy to eat because I knew that we will have our nails done and can't eat food that tend to get messy.

Cookies, candies, cheesecakes and cupcakes!

There are chocolates too!! Wow, all letter C's! Haha!

And so, the pampering begins!

I got a manicure and pedicure with premium polish + nail art for everyone.
They gave a complimentary foot spa for the birthday celebrant—Yayyy me!

This felt reaaaallly good.

And I also got a very, very, VERY pretty nail art done too! Will post about it tomorrow!

The place was filled with my friends from college and blogging!

It started off very pleasant and quiet...

It got livelier when more people arrived. Look at Sandara, I mean Tellie, doing her Korean poses! :P

Everyone was able to get the service,

and others chitchat while they wait.

After my nail pampering experience was done, I distributed the souvenirs with a game. I randomly picked a name from a bowl filled with the guests' name and asked a question about me.

We had some laughs during the games. There were even rewards given to the early bird and to the first person to greet me on my birthday too.

Anyway, here's what was inside the souvenir bag...

Some pencils because I just LOVE to draw. I also included a calling card of a design service that me and some friends are doing. :P

Cocktail rings that I handpicked

and 2 soaps for each bag sponsored by HBC
Thank you so much, HBC, for doing this! This really means a lot!! :D

The day really was fun and I loved every minute of it. Not only because I celebrated it with dear friends, my school also won the game!! Haha! Go USTe!!! :D

Super thanks to these people for coming...

Super glad to spend this special day with all of you. Hope you all enjoyed the kikay nail experience!

Super thanks for all these gifts tooooo!!! I was so happy opening each and every one of them!! So kilig the whole night!! :D

I felt so overwhelmed with all the blessings and love I received during my whole birthday week. I'd like to thank the people who made all these possible. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

I guess, that's all for now. :)

Krave Cosmeceuticals 1st Anniversary and Product Launch Party

 Good day, dears!

Last night, I attended Krave Cosmeceuticals' First Anniversary and Product Launching Celebration at the Palladium Club, New World Hotel in Makati.

It was very generous of them to send me a VIP pass via postal mail even though I haven't blogged about them yet. I'm interested to try their products out since I have fellow blogger friends who have featured Krave and loved it!

So on to yesterday's event. I was an early bird as usual. I arrived at 6:20pm though the event said that it will start at 7pm. I was actually in Greenbelt the whole day watching movies and shopping with my sister.

The place was quite big and they have these screens and lights that give the party vibe! There were tables reserved for Bloggers, Press, Family and Friends as well as Distributors.

I had to wait for a few minutes before I found some blogger friends to chitchat with. Good thing the bar was next to me where I can ask for drinks. They gave us 3 drink stubs when we entered which we can exchange for free drinks of our choice. It was kind of weird though since it says in the VIP pass that the drinks were unlimited. It wasn't a big issue for me since I don't plan on getting wasted since I have to meet up with my bro and sis after the event. :P

A few minutes later, Lea and Sam arrived. Finally got some people to talk to! Haha!
The event took a while to start but I can't really blame them since most of the people arrived an hour later than the specified time.

Good thing the table I was in was full of fun and friendly blogger friends. :D
(Left to right: Angel, Lea, Sam, Me, Hazel and Shen)

The event started around 8:30pm. The host was quite entertaining with his charismatic voice, curly hair and funny comments. He introduced to us the generous sponsors of the event such as beautystat.com. I wasn't able to take note of the others (sorry!) but I will update this post when I do.

He also presented to us what Krave is all about and the events that happened during its first year. Krave officially launched on December 21, 2011 and today it has around 100 distributors not just in the Philippines but in other parts of the world like Japan, United Kingdom and Italy.

And then, the woman behind Krave Minerale Cosmeceuticals, Kat Chua, gave her short but heartfelt message. I'm really impressed with this woman! She's just about my age and have accomplished this much! I'm still lost at what I should be doing but here's a 24 year old woman who is so successful in business and family! Kudos to you, Ms. Kat! You are awesome! :D

Continuing with the event... there was a quick "Bring Me" game. Too bad I didn't have any of the items asked. I would have loved to get more Krave GC's. Haha! They also awarded some bloggers who have supported Krave the most.

We then ate dinner - Carbonara, buffalo wings, buttered veggies, brownies and nachos were in the menu.

There was also a fashion runway-like segment where models walked to the stage holding a mask with their natural faces and then unveiling their gorgeous made-up looks using Krave Minerale makeup!

This part gave me the idea that Krave is not gender-biased and that it suits any skin tone! :)

And finally, my most anticipated part of the event, the unveiling of the newest products!

They presented a quick video with all the new products to look forward to. The video was edgy and well done. Too bad I wasn't able to record it. :(

They were displayed on glass cases under a pretty circular frame.
The packaging looks really attractive and I could easily say that the design is at par with international brands'.

This are the skin care items

And the makeup, of course! Sooo looking forward to the mascara!

I was really looking forward to try them out but there weren't testers available in the event. I guess I'll just have to wait with the rest of us for the time these babies are available.

The event ended with a final Thank You message from Kat and lots of picture-taking! Yayyy!

The host and Ms. Kat Chua with Manuel Chua of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Fear Factor

Me with Ms. Kat Chua and the new Krave Products

and one last group pic with fellow bloggers.

The night continued with dance music, more drinks and people mingling and socializing.

After a few cocktails and chitchats, I bid farewell to friends since I had to meet up with my sibs. But on the way out, we had to stop by the photo booth.

It would have been fun if the camera didn't hate me so much(I am always unprepared when the camera snaps the shot). Haha!

And they also gave us this gift certificate worth Php1,000.
Ms. Kat explained to us that they gave GC's instead so that we could pick what items we want to try. I think it is a good idea since even I am guilty of not using some of the items included in freebies from events. It is also a way for them to keep track of what products most of us want to try. I just wished they have given a press kit so that we could have a list of the products and what they are all about. :P

Can't wait to use this. I don't know any distributors for now though but I know I can order online. But if you can recommend me a distributor, it will very much be appreciated. :)

And as I end this post, I would like to congratulate Krave Cosmeceuticals for their first anniversary (Happy birthday btw) and for having a great and successful 2012. I wish you more success in 2013. I am very excited to try more of your products, especially the new ones! Kudos to Ms. Kat Chua and More Power to Krave!
