BYS Nude 2 Eyeshadow Palette
Good evening,
I am a big fan of nude palettes and my most favorite from my stash is Urban Decay's Naked Palette. Therefore, the first time I laid eyes on the Nude palette from BYS, I just had to start comparing it. I own a Naked palette and have only seen the Nude palette from BYS, and I have to say they look very much the same. You could fool me into thinking that it actually that they are one and the same.
However, this product, admittedly, was from the BYS anniversary event and I was given the Nude 2.
I had originally thought that this was a dupe of Naked 2 but unlike the original Nude palette which was spot on, this wasn't.

It kind of felt like an in between dupe of Naked and Naked 2 only with lighter colors. Plus I can't say I love all the choices they put because there are so much more metallic shades which I am not a big fan of.
On the bright side, the product is pretty decent. I have to say sorry about my camera work because it does not do the product justice. It has a decent color payout and transfers well from brush to skin.
Packaging for me is ok because the covering on the lid holding the mirror always feels a little loose. I have never used the brushes that come with it, mainly because I prefer brushes with longer handles since they give me better control and also because the free brushes tend to fall out whenever I open the palette. I love the mirror though, because of its size and clarity making this palette a nice traveling companion.
It costs around Php 1,199.00 which arguably is quite a good price.
So will I buy this again? Come time my Naked palette has breathed its last, I'd most probably buy the Nude palette as its replacement since I get pretty much the same colors and performance for half the price.
Anyway, hope this helps you wrap your weekend.
Cheers,
LIZ

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
Hey loves!
Got another freebie product from my sister. Haha! She gives me the products that she bought that she's not satisfied with. That means she has only used them for around three times. One of them is this mascara...
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
My sister's lashes are not naturally curled-up. They are kinda straight and thick which is why she is very picky with mascaras. There are only a few mascaras that can keep her lashes curled after she has used a lash curler and unfortunately, this one did not do it for her. And so, I was the lucky person to inherit it. :P

I like the packaging. It's sleek and classy and the purple fonts make it look fun, edgy, and... well, let's just say the color purple has this sinister-ish quality to it (pretty much like why villains always have this purple and green combination when it comes to Disney movies). I like the thin shaped metal tube that makes it easy to carry during travels. So in short, I like everything about the packaging!
The tube contains important labels too such as the shelf life but for more info, here are some details from the website:
Get bigger, blacker, badder lashes with our ultra-creamy, lengthening and volumizing mascara. So intense you might need a safe word, Perversion glides on and gets you sexy in one stroke. (Yet it won’t quit until you say when.) It’s insane how black it is…the purest, deepest, most intense black color imaginable.
Perversion has a creamy, full-bodied texture that’s not too dry, not too wet. This allows just the right amount of “pull” so it glides through lashes. The result: incredible control for insane lashes. Go ahead and pile on coat after coat. Want to apply more before you go out at night? No problem. Even if it’s been all day since you applied, more Perversion always means more beautiful lashes. Our formula NEVER gets brittle or clumpy.
Perversion Mascara contains Hairdensyl, a complex blend of proteins and amino acids—including marine glycogen, known to stimulate lash growth. Honey extract provides deep nourishment, sea idrolized elastine stimulates the hair follicle, and marine collagen protects.
The twisted trim on the high-tech, volumizing brush latches on to each lash to separate and define; finally, a volumizing mascara with a clean, clump-free finish. It pulls through lashes smoothly and lays down a generous amount of product. No need to wiggle the wand or maneuver it at all different angles!
If you need to apply in public, you’ll look good holding Perversion. We emblazoned our gorgeous, highly metallized black tube with a big purple “Perversion” and our tagline: “Bigger. Blacker. Badder.”
Fill Weight: 12 ml / 0.4 fl oz
Ingredients: Aqua (Water/Eau), Synthetic Beeswax, Acacia Senegal Gum, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax (Cera Carnauba/Cire de Carnuba), Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Polybutene, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Aminomethyl Propanol, Pentylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Potassium Sorbate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Soluble Collagen, Myristic Acid, Arachidic Acid, Behenic Acid, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Oleic Acid, Mel (Honey/Miel) Extract, Sodium PCA,Hydrolyzed Elastin, Glycogen, Serine. [+/- (May Contain/Peut contenir): CI 77499 (Iron Oxides)]
This one is a deluxe size so this only carries 3ml of product. The regular-sized one has 12ml.
Closeup of the wand
The wand is in the mid-large range when it comes to size in my opinion. The wand carries enough product for application on both eyes. It can be a bit difficult to put the product on the bottom lashes if yours are short with this wand though.

The mascara is really black and creamy. I do agree that it is not too dry nor too wet, but I just have to say that it dries too long when applied. I had to try and keep myself from blinking or looking down because I'll get some mascara under my eyes. It's quite frustrating when that happens actually.
Anyway, see below how it works on my lashes:
Bare lashes
Lashes when curled
Lashes with 1 coat of Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
Lashes with 2 coats of Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
Is it lengthening? YES! Is it volumizing? Yes as well! The wand prevents the lashes from clumping even if I add multiple layers of the product. And even though it is not waterproof, it doesn't smudge even on my oily skin so that's also great. Plus, it's not difficult to remove with the right eye makeup remover so no tugging will happen on your skin around the eye area. Yay! And oh, unlike my sister's experience, this mascara holds my curled lashes well. Double yay!
I really like this product because it basically has all the qualities I look for in a mascara EXCEPT for the part that it takes a while for it to completely dry after application. I often get mascara under my eyes because I thought that it already dried and I proceeded to doing things that makes me close my eyes like putting on my shirt. I guess this is because of the creamy formula. Other than that, I like this mascara very much!
Have you guys tried Urban Decay's Perversion Mascara yet?
Cheers,

EOTD: Deep Teal and Smokey Topaz
Hey dearies!
I'm so excited for Christmas. I love this holiday because I love getting stuff for my friends. I have this joy and excitement to find that "perfect" gift for friends. It may be a running joke or something sentimental but my goal is that it has to be something my friends would like. And also, if I have to be honest, I also like unwrapping gifts. :P
Another reason I love this season is I'm always in the mood to create different makeup looks. I like wearing bold lipsticks, sparkly eyeshadows, greens, golds, reds, and all! Even though I wear these on ordinary days, there's a different joy to it when it's during this season.
Here's an EOTD I wore just a few days ago...
And below are the items used:
Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow in Coppy Right
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
Dior Backstage Eye Prime
More photos of the EOTD below:
I like the green and gold blending. It may seem dark but it looks sort of toned down when I have my eyes open.
The green is a nice pop of color and the gold brightens up the look.
So what do you think of this EOTD?
Cheers,

EOTD : Dramatic Blue and Purple and Warm Pink
Hey everyone!
Been a while since I posted any EOTD's or FOTD's so I did a status update in our Facebook Page and a friend, Kath, suggested that I do something that would suit a blue or purple gown since she has a cousin-in-law attending her prom wearing that.
So anyway, I tried experimenting and got this look:
and a close up to the eyes:
I used my Urban Decay Book of Shadows III / UDNYC for the eye shadows, Coffret D'Or Gel Liner, and Avon One Great Mascara.
I used a really bold blue all over my lids and a dark purple at the outer sides. I then added some warm pink tones at the top of my eye socket to blend them altogether.
I then applied some thick black eyeliner and some purple eye shadow at the bottom lash line. And finished the look off with some black mascara.
If you want more dramatic effect, use false lashes! :D
That's all for this EOTD. Hope you like it!
Cheers!

Urban Decay NAKED 2
Hi guys!
Today's post is something most makeup lovers are quite familiar with.
This is probably one of the most coveted palette since it was released in the market...
Urban Decay NAKED 2
Eyeshadow Palette
This isn't mine. I just borrowed this from Liz's classmate in med school. I was doing her makeup for her birthday and I borrowed her palette just so I could blog a swatch post! Hihihi. ♥
I think I like this better than the first version which Liz already has. You can check our post about it here. Will probably create a separate swatch post about it in a different post. :P
So here's the palette. It has more matte shades compared to the first one which I like.
And here are some photos of the swatches.
Just look how pigmented they are!
Well, I am really a fan of the eyeshadows from Urban Decay. They are just so bold and long lasting! The color selections on their palettes are always nice! ♥♥♥
So that's it for this post.
Hope this swatch post could be of some help if you plan on buying this palette! I totally recommend it to those who love the nude/ natural look!
Cheers!

FOTD : A Pop of Blue
Hello everyone.
I hope you are all doing fine.
The weather has been vicious even though it's not even a typhoon.
The amount of water generated by these heavy rains is already comparable to the infamous Typhoon Ondoy last 2009.
We didn't have any electricity for 26 hours and the flood even got in our house which rarely happens. So to all of our readers, please stay safe and pray for better weather soon.
Anyway, to make the day a little less depressing,
I will share with you guys a look i sported a few days ago.
I was in the mood to play with my eye shadow and I just wanted a pop of color on my eyes.
I was already wearing blue so I went with that color.
My current Facebook profile photo! Haha!
Most of the makeup I used were in peaches and blues.
MAKEUP USED:
Face:
The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser Primer
4U2 DreamGirl Faith BB Cream
In2It 2-Way Foundation in Warm Beige
Tony Moly Baby Doll Pot Concealer in Shade 2 Natural Beige
For the eyes I just want a sudden pop of blue on them.
Eyes:
Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in Brown
Etude House Color My Brows in 3
Garnier Light BB Eye Roll-On
Prestige Eyeliner in Rhapsody
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
Urban Decay Book of Shadows III : I♥NYC
DollFace Cosmetics Gel Liner in Navy Blue
Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliner in Broken Doll
Cheeks:
Etude House My Wish Cheek in #3 Celebrity Peach
Lips:
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Petal
Phew... and here are more vain shots of me!!
That's all for this FOTD post. I keep using bold lipsticks that I rarely play around with eye shadows lately. Quite happy with this look and even if the color blue is quite bold, I still do think it's quite wearable in a casual happy day. Haha!
Again, keep safe guys and try your best to relax in this uber rainy day.
Cheers!
