Review : Prestige Cosmetics Universal Brow Styler Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil

Hey guys!

Sharing a short review of one of the products that I was able to get in a very affordable price. I do like to bargain hunt and if I find something good, the feeling of scoring it becomes even better. Anyway, here the main topic for today's post:

Prestige Light Response Self-Adjusting Undereye Concealer

Hi guys!

I have been so busy these past few weeks juggling work, my blog, and classes at graduate school. I've been doing this for almost a year now but it's just lately that I experienced so much lack of sleep. The reason behind this is one of my classes require me to make so much artworks in just a week. How much you ask? Well, for this week, I have to prepare fifty... FIFTY art pieces. It's only on a 5" x 5" illustration board and we only have to do some curves and circles but the time frame is too little... I have to do this in just one effing week. And you know what's worse? I have to do a hundred paintings on an 18" x 24" support. A HUNDRED! That means I have to start as early as now and do at least 3 a day. Torture much!? I don't understand why it has to be this much and why it has to be that big. I don't even know what I'll learn from it but all i know is that it's giving me a lot of stress and too little sleep... not to mention I have another class that requires us to make artworks that will be exhibited on November. *sigh* I can't wait for December.

Anyway, enough of the ranting. Let's focus on the beautiful things first so that I can stop thinking about stressful stuff for a moment. :P

So even though I have been like a zombie due to lack of sleep, I make sure that my face doesn't show it. I always try to hide the puffy, dark eye bags so that I always look good even though I've been very stressed out this days. One product that helps me to achieve this is the...

Prestige Light Response Self-Adjusting Undereye Concealer

I bought this at Beauty Bar. It was Php 395.00 but I bought it on sale and got it somewhere around Php 200.00 only.

Here are some details on the packaging:

This is a twist-up, brush pen packaging. I like this kinds of packaging when the product is for my undereye because it's soft and easy to apply. Just don't over-twist so that you don't get too much product out.

The bristles of the brush are smooth so no prickly feeling when applying.

Here's a swatch on hand.

The shade has just the right amount of yellow so that it would look natural on my skin. It did say that it is self-adjusting, but it's good to know that even at initial application, it already looks good.

Here's how I use it:

Bare under eyes

Product applied

When blended

It instantly brightened my eyes and it looks very natural. The consistency is buttery smooth and it's very light which makes blending it very easy.

I never experienced caking with this even when I have some liquid foundation applied underneath. It can last the whole day just make sure that you set it with powder. :)

I'm glad I found this on sale. I'm recently on the look out for good undereye concealers because I just fell in-love with the Clinique one and it's just too darn expensive for my budget, so this is actually pretty good especially when you consider how affordable it is.

Anyway, I'm going back to painting now. :)

April 2014 Haul

Hey everyone!

Sharing some of my new items I bought for the month of April. I had to control myself from shopping because of all the brands on sale this month. But I'm happy that most of the items in this post are bought with huge discounts.

A necklace and a ring from XOXO.
Bought both for only Php 249.00.
It was a buy one get one promo. I like the ring because it's like a locket-ring combined. You can insert a pic inside the heart. So cute!

Falsies from Prestige — Regular price Php 310.00, bought for only Php 108.50
Nail polish is Php 85.00

And then bought some clothes from Dorothy Perkins
Can't remember the exact price of this but it was discounted for around 30-50%.

Regular price — Php 2095.00
Bought for Php 999.00

This shoe is actually a bottle cap opener! Cute, right? I like to drink this soya milk that's in a bottle so I have to borrow an opener every time I buy one so finally got one for myself and it has to be fab! Haha! Got it for only Php 95.00.

Shikai Color Reflect Volumizing Mousse—Php 595.00

Prestige Light Response Self-Adjusting Undereye Concealer
Regular price is Php 395.00 but I bought it around Php 200.00 only.

This is probably the best deal I got.
Smashbox Be Discovered Jet Set Eyeliner and Brusg in Intrigue
Regular price is 1,450.00 and bought it for only Php 350.00. Awesome!

And since one of mom's friend is going back to AU this week, we decided to buy my sister, Trace, an early birthday present (her birthday is on July but shipping fee is too expensive. Haha!).

A Fino Leatherware Davos bag! It's Php 9,950.00.

And lastly, I just wanna share this very adorable picture of my dog, Aqui, with his new best friend!

Cuteness explosion!!!

Anyway, it's May already! Wow! How quickly time flies, right? :D

Prestige SunFlower Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Sunkissed

Hey everyone!

Are you looking for a nice bronzer you can use to create the perfect bronzed look for this summer? Well, let me share with you a swatch post of a product that will give you such!

Prestige SunFlower Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Sunkissed

This is Php 675.00 in Beauty Bar.
Some of you might think this is pricey but this product comes in 20g! Quite a lot so you will enjoy a plenty amount of bronzer!

The packaging is classy and I love the tangerine color. I also like that the cover is transparent so you will be able to see the shade of the product. It doesn't come with any applicator.

This bronzer comes in 2 shades. The shade here is Sunkissed while a darker version is Terra. This one I'm sharing with you is actually my sister's. She's tanner now and prefers doing a warm, bronzy makeup!

Here's a swatch on my arm:

I love that the bronze effect isn't close to the shade of a brick which I encounter in some bronzers I get. I love the gold shimmers it comes with. It gives you the beach glow that is just gorgeous! This product is so easy to blend, especially to our Filipina skin!

That's all for this quick swatch post!
What's your current bronzer?

Cheers!

January Beauty Bar Haul

Hi everyone!

Two days ago, we brought our sis who is currently visiting from AU to Robinsons Magnolia. It's her first time there because she haven't been in the country for the past 10 months.
We just had to take her there since my bro and I had be frequenting the place because the food places there are awesome and the place is huge so it doesn't feel so crowded!

Before we ate dinner, my sis and I, being our kikay selves, stopped by Beauty Bar first to look at the items. My sis found new and exciting brands to check out! She hasn't been doing much kikay shopping in Australia since it is way more expensive there than here.

Anyway, we left the store with these items in their really pretty Beauty Bar paper bag!

4 items which we are sooo excited to use and review!

Prestige Sunflower Illuminating Bronzing Powder in Sunkissed

Prestige Multi Task Powder Foundation in Light Cocoa - Php500.00

My sis really missed our kikay shopping together. We will surely go out for more sometime soon!
We also plan to go to Cebu in a few days! Sooo excited for that! Yayyy!

So just comment below which of these items you want a review soon and we will try our best to post about it as soon as we can! :)

Prestige Eyeliner in Rhapsody

Hello beautiful people!

Eyeliners. Don't you just love them?
It adds the extra definition to your eyes.
I am a fan of eyeliners whether it's liquid, gel or pencil. So I collect them! I have quite a number of shades now.
And this one that I will share with you in today's post is one of my current favorites.

Prestige Eyeliner in Rhapsody

Details on the pencil:

This is my first eyeliner from the brand.

The color is like electric blue as you will see in the swatch below...

I usually apply it on my inner rim. It's very pigmented so it is very noticeable even in the rims. But since my eyes get teary at times, especially when sleepy which is very often, I have to reapply once in a while.

(Sorry for the uber dark eye bags. Wasn't able to conceal it)

Though I really like this eyeliner, I rarely use it since the color isn't something that would suit most makeup looks or outfits. But this one just looks so good and I usually use it when I do creative looks.

Do you collect eyeliners too?
Do you have any from Prestige too?

Cheers!

FOTD : A Pop of Blue

 Hello everyone.

I hope you are all doing fine.
The weather has been vicious even though it's not even a typhoon.
The amount of water generated by these heavy rains is already comparable to the infamous  Typhoon Ondoy last 2009.

We didn't have any electricity for 26 hours and the flood even got in our house which rarely happens. So to all of our readers, please stay safe and pray for better weather soon.

Anyway, to make the day a little less depressing,
I will share with you guys a look i sported a few days ago.
I was in the mood to play with my eye shadow and I just wanted a pop of color on my eyes.
I was already wearing blue so I went with that color.

My current Facebook profile photo! Haha!

Most of the makeup I used were in peaches and blues.

MAKEUP USED:

Face:
The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser Primer
4U2 DreamGirl Faith BB Cream
In2It 2-Way Foundation in Warm Beige
Tony Moly Baby Doll Pot Concealer in Shade 2 Natural Beige

For the eyes I just want a sudden pop of blue on them.

Eyes:
Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in Brown
Etude House Color My Brows in 3
Garnier Light BB Eye Roll-On
Prestige Eyeliner in Rhapsody
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
Urban Decay Book of Shadows III : I♥NYC
DollFace Cosmetics Gel Liner in Navy Blue
Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliner in Broken Doll

Cheeks:
Etude House My Wish Cheek in #3 Celebrity Peach

Lips:
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Petal

Phew... and here are more vain shots of me!!

That's all for this FOTD post. I keep using bold lipsticks that I rarely play around with eye shadows lately. Quite happy with this look and even if the color blue is quite bold, I still do think it's quite wearable in a casual happy day. Haha!

Again, keep safe guys and try your best to relax in this uber rainy day.

Cheers!
