Dazzle Me Brow-Buddy 3 in 1 Eyebrow Review

I'm pretty sure many of you agree that 'kilay is life.' Brows can really make your whole face look good. I remember I watched a segment of The Ellen Degeneres show and the guest was actor Jeremy Renner. He was surprisingly a professional makeup artist before making it big in Hollywood and he said that it is important to frame the face by highlighting three areas—the brows, lashes, and lips. After seeing that segment, I find that he does have a point and I try my best to at least even out my brows (mine have some areas that need filling). It really makes or breaks the look!

I'm always on the lookout for good brow products. I have thick brow hairs on the inner half and not so much on the outer half so it's important that I get a brow product that fills to help even the brows out.

The phrase "Kilay is life" easily became popular to every beauty enthusiast in the country. Come to think of it, just a bit over a decade ago, I was only one of the few people in our college batch that wears makeup in class. But now, I see more young people who wear makeup even in school (I currently work in a university so I see students everyday). So I think it is safe to say that the beauty market grew exponentially and more and more Filipinos look for better quality products that fit their budget, which resulted to more beauty brands stepping up their game to meet these demands! It's such a good time to love beauty products!

In this light, two of my trusted local beauty brands did just that—they created a product that I'm sure many makeup enthusiast would absolutely love. I got so excited when I heard about this for the first time. It's a collaboration between Project Vanity and Ellana Mineral Cosmetics. If you love makeup and it just so happens that you also live under a rock and unaware what Project Vanity is, it's one of the leading blogs in the Philippines that writes about beauty. Ellana Mineral Cosmetics, on the other hand, is, hands down, my favorite mineral makeup brand since 2014. So as much as I just raved about these brands, I assure you that this review is not biased at all, but it did made me have very high expectations about this new product...

My mom had her brow tattooed some years back and now the color has faded and the tattoo is now greyish (sometimes bluish). My mom doesn't use makeup regularly—face powder and lipstick are the only things she apply. Since most of us in the Philippines are familiar with the phrase "kilay is life," I think it is safe to say that many who likes to apply makeup agree that having well-groomed and defined brows is important to achieving a great makeup look.

I have struggled in finding the right products to achieve this. I find that my brows are a bit tricky to work with because they aren't even and the hair is thick. Even the thickness from the inner half to the outer part is too different. And so, I've tried brow products in different forms such as pencils, powders, gel, and mascara. Right now, I'm somehow content with what I use to achieve a decent brow and that is that there should always be a brow mascara at all times but I still need another one to fill some spaces. So I try out different kinds like pencils, etc.

Considering that I've experimented with products and use more than one for my brows, I formed this curiosity (or fixation...?) to try and try products from different brands in various forms. I guess it's a good thing for a blogger to have that so I can share my experiences to my readers.
