BeYu The Matt Liner in Blue Desire and White Smoke

Hi dears!

I think I've mentioned before that I like to do double eyeliners. I like putting a light colored eyeliner at the top of the usual black eyeliner. It just gives a bolder impact that way and I really like how it looks on my eyes.

So while browsing the counters of Beauty Bar, these caught my eye...

NYX Vivid Brights Colored Liquid Liner in Vivid Blossom

Hello dears!

I'm getting fond of adding another eyeliner on top of my black eyeliner lately, usually a brightly colored one, or even white. It just adds a pop to the overall eye makeup and I think it looks good in my almost hooded eyelids.

Here's one eyeliner I like to use...

MSH Love Liner Liquid Eyeliner in Pink Brown

Hello dears!

Last year I made a review about a pen liquid eyeliner that I absolutely love. It instantly became a favorite of mine. I sent one to my sister last year and she also loved it!

So when I went to Osaka a month ago, I bought more and I even bought a different shade! Yayyyy!

Review : Ciate London Liquid Chrome Metallic Eyeliner in Celestial

Hey everyone!

I like doing different looks for my eye makeup. I like colors and contrast so recently, I've been adding more eyeliners than usual. I usually pair my black winged eyeliner with another colored eyeliner. It doesn't matter what color or if it's matte or metallic, or glittered. I just apply whatever catches my "fancy."

Now I just wanted to buy and buy more eyeliners. Haha! I try to stop myself when I can but when I see a good deal, I just can't resist anymore and one of the things I bought is this...

Shu Uemura Metal:Ink Liquid Eye Liner in ME Brown

Hello dearies!

I like shimmery eye makeup, but usually the simple, nude, shimmery kind. It gives you a brighter look with a hint of glam. That's why I was just so happy when I received this as a freebie when I ordered one Shu Uemura product from BeautyMNL:

Shu Uemura Metal:Ink Liquid Eye Liner in ME Brown

It costs PhP 1,750.00, but unfortunately, the brand just closed its doors in the Philippines a few months back. :( I guess that's the reason for the promos.

Anyway, here are pics containing the product info from the box:

And on the packaging:

And info from the website:

Vibrant metallic colors - lasting day & night.
Waterproof, easy-to-use, intense shades.
Long-lasting liquid liner meets dramatic explosion of colors. 10 metallic shades inspired by hanabi, a festival of fireworks that vividly decorate tokyo nights.

Define, decorate and empower your eyes.

I love the classy-looking packaging. I also like that it has that strip of the shade it's in.

The applicator is easy to use and it creates a fine, solid line.

The shade is a warm, brown color with glitters that are a mix of gold, silver, and purple/pink. It's so beautiful!  See the swatch below:

I got this rich color with one swipe.

I tested its durability...

When I rubbed it with my hand, it barely smudged. It did lose some of its vibrance, but it's still looking gorgeous.

But when I rub it while wet, it was removed.

When under running water, nothing happened. So I guess it still keeps its waterproof claim... well, more like water resistant... I don't think anyone would rub their eyes the way I rubbed my hand anyway.

I wear the eyeliner like this...

I love putting thick lines so that the glitters are visible. I like wearing it for everyday. The brown color is less dramatic as when I wear a black one and the glitters give a fun and light vibe to my overall look. I really like it. I do wish I could get my hands on the other shades. :)

What do you think of the Shu Uemura Metal:Ink Liquid Eye Liner in ME Brown?

Review : MSH Love Liner Liquid in Rich Black

Hello dearies!

I've been a fan of eyeliners from Japanese brands for years, and that is why when I have friends who go to the Land of the Rising Sun, I usually request them to buy me one. This product that I'll be sharing is one of the products that a friend bought me during her trip to Japan some months ago.

MSH Love Liner Liquid in Rich Black

I'm not sure how much she bought this but when I was in Tokyo last January, it costs around PhP800.00 when converted from yen and it's included in their bestsellers too.

At first I was doubtful if this were any good. I wasn't aware of the brand unlike the other liners my friend bought for me—Dolly Wink and K Palette. That's why it took a while before I opened this one. :P

But before I continue with my review, let's check out the product info:

The labels are in Japanese so I can't understand them so I tried googling. Here's the product description from the website:

The best color development in love liner! Eye liner that does not fail ☆
Gentle to the eyes with plenty of moisturizing ingredients, durability · coloring UP!Impression of eyes Newly! A new color "Dark Brown" is born!

  • Durability & coloring keeping power!
  • Aluminum bottle with a heavy feeling!
  • Easy to sweat · sebum · Easy to tears Make-off!
  • Moisturizing ingredients High makeup makes your makeup moist!

Here's are the labels around the product:

I actually love the packaging. I appreciate the usual eyeliner pens that are light in weight but I like the aluminum look and the heavier weight because it resembles the drawing pens that I usually use when I draw in terms of weight and thickness.

I also like the part that it is sort of stainless. It's quite different from the designs of most eyeliners because of the metallic surface and the rose gold color which I absolutely like.

The tip is a brush that is soft enough to easily apply the liner smoothly, but stiff enough that it's easy to control. It's just the right kind of applicator that I like when it comes to eyeliner pens.

The tip is thin enough to create a beautiful winged liner too. I have tried liners that are thinner but this one is just right for me.

With one swatch, you get this color:

It's quite buildable too. It's not as black as, let's say gel liners, but I'm very satisfied with the blackness of this eyeliner. There's minimal shine, but it still looks great. It also dries fast after application so no need to wait too long to open your eyes.

I tried rubbing it a few times and nothing happened.

I tried rubbing it while wet and it's still there.

Some of the came off when I rubbed it hard while wet.
(But I doubt you'd rub your eye as hard as I did)

Here's how it looks when I apply it:

The lasting power is pretty impressive. I think this one is by far the best I've tried! Why? It can last the whole day, even when my lids get oily. My eyeshadow is already ruined, but my liner still looks great! Even when I travel and been walking and sweating all day long, my eyeliner is still intact!

What's even more impressive is that even if it lasts long, it's easy to remove with cleanser or makeup remover! No more tugging of skin! I only use my Physiogel Cleanser on a cotton pad and it gets completely removed. Awesome, right?

So to summarize:

What I LIKE:

- Long-lasting
- Sweat-proof and can even last on my oily lids
- Packaging
- Glides smoothly
- I'm satisfied at how black it is
- Dries easily after application
- Price is quite fair

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Not available in the Philippines :(

Will I buy again? Oh I definitely will!
I recommend you try this. I love this so much I even bought one for my sister in Australia to try. Haha! It's really good. :)

Have you tried this eyeliner yet?

Review : Peripera Very Nice Pen Eyeliner

Hello dears!

Eyeliners are becoming a must in EVERY makeup look that I do recently... I usually play with different eye makeup looks, but nowadays I feel like my makeup is incomplete without a fierce, winged liner. Maybe it's just a phase, but hey, I think I look good with eyeliner so everything's fine. Haha!

Anyway, just sharing a review of one of the eyeliner pens that I've used...

Peripera Very Nice Pen Eyeliner

Very nice name, huh? Haha! I bought it for PhP 595.00, but I think I bought it at a 20% discount (if I remember correctly). Yippee!

I didn't have an idea if the product will be any good when I bought it. I just included it in my shopping cart because it's on sale and well, because of the photo below.

Haha! I was hoping that it can create a line that's as dark as the one on the photo. :P

Anyway, here's the product description.

I tried looking for a website that has the list of ingredients, unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky. Everything else in the box is in Korean. :(

Anyway, let's get on to the review...

The packaging is pretty cute. I like that it's not bulky and that it is easy to carry around. The design is simple but I like the touch of the lace detail and the soft pink font and design color.

Oh, and I also love the metallic pink box! Hihihi... :P

You can remove the cap by pulling it off. You get to see a felt tip kind of applicator.

I find this kind of applicator pretty easy to use—I think it's the easiest compared to the other kinds of eyeliner applicators.

And now, for the swatches...

The bottom swatch is what I can produce when I try my best to apply it thinly. I can create a thin, fine end for my winged liner, but not the super thin kind that you apply when you just want to add definition to your eyes and that you don't look like you're wearing eyeliner.

It's color is indeed black, but it's in the middle of being matte and like a plastic-glossy finish (I've encountered that kind of liners before... the ones that flake off). This one doesn't flake off though and it dries pretty fast upon application. No need to wait too long before opening your eyes completely. :D

I tested its lasting power...

with running water, it stayed completely well without smudges.

When I wiped it hard while wet, majority was smudged off.

I tried rubbing it over and over after and nothing else came off.

So I conclude that it's not completely waterproof. I can say it's water-resistant. I am still pretty impressed since it stayed even if I rubbed it pretty hard. I doubt that you'd rub your eyes the way I rubbed the swatches on my hand anyway. Haha!

Anyway, here's how I apply it on my lids:

It looks gorgeous! And application was pretty easy!

It may not be the usual waterproof liners that I use, but it can stay the whole day on my eyes provided that I use a good primer (I have really oily lids). It only smudges when my primer and eyeshadow fail and my whole eye makeup starts to crease... But yeah, I think the staying power is pretty good.

So to summarize:

What I LIKE:

- Packaging
- Easy to apply
- It's black!

What I'm NEUTRAL about:
- Price
- Water-resistant instead of waterproof
- Decent staying power as long as I have primer on

What I DON'T LIKE:

- It's not easy to find (I don't see peripera stalls anymore and the product isn't easy to find at online stores)
- It's hard to create thinner lines with the applicator

Would I buy again?
Probably not. I liked using it, but it's not one of the liners that really impressed me. :P

And that's my review of the Peripera Very Nice Pen Eyeliner. Thoughts?
