Review : Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Quad in Copper 'N' Chic

Hey dears!

I love wearing makeup with colors that are in nude and peach shades. Those colors are my go-to ones for my everyday makeup when I go to the office.

So even though I have enough eyeshadows to last me for a long while, I just couldn't resist getting this quad when I saw that it was on sale at Beauty Bar a few months back...

Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Quad in Copper 'N' Chic

I was able to get it for only PhP 166.25 from its original price of PhP 475.00.

I just find this palette really beautiful, especially the peach one at the upper right corner. The shades are very wearable and it's a palette that I can bring with me when I travel because the shades can be used to create many looks and it also suits many of my lipsticks.

Let's get to know the product from the product description from the website:

Enhance your eyes with 4 highly-pigmented Eyeshadow Quads.  Compacts come in matte and shimmery shades that can be used year-round.

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Beeswax, Synthetic Beeswax, Cyclopentasiloxane, Polyethylene, Synthetic Wax, Polybutene, Sucrose Tetrastearate Triacetate, Stearyl Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl Tetrabehenate, Boron Nitride, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Tocopherol ,Stearalkkonium Bentonite, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Propylene Carbonate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, DI-PPG-3 Myristyl Ether Adipate, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer. May contain:   Preservatives, Antioxidants, Sunscreens, Fillers (eg Talc, Silica, Alumina, Kaolin, Clay), Dyes (Inorganic and Organic Pigments, Lacquers).

*We do not test our products or any of our ingredients on animals

This is available in six shades.

It comes with a small applicator. One end has a pointier end. I can use it to create strong lines using the darkest shade! It doubles as an eyeliner.

The packaging is very simple. It's a compact makeup and the top is made of clear plastic so you can easily see the shades of the quad. It's non-bulky so it's easy to carry around.

Here's a closeup of the product. I like that the peach is almost matte because it's my favorite and I like my eyeshadows matte most of the time.

The shimmery shadows at the bottom gives a dramatic finish to my eye makeup.

The lightest shade is perfect for highlighting the eyes as well as other areas of the face that you want to highlight!

Here are the swatches.

I'm very surprised at how pigmented each shade is, especially the lightest shade! They are very smooth but it can also be chalky.

Anyway, check out below how I usually wear the shades:

It's a simple everyday look. I just add the darker shades when I want a more dramatic look at night.

It's a pretty good compact, especially since I got it in a very affordable price! It already is very pigmented but I still need to add a good eyeshadow base so that it wouldn't crease on my oily lids.

To summarize:

What I LIKE:
- Pigmented
- Very affordable
- Doesn't test on animals
- A combination of matte and shimmery shades
- Very wearable colors
- Simple and easy to carry packaging
- Locally available
- Smooth texture

What I DON'T LIKE:

- I don't think there is. Perhaps they can improve the applicator? I rarely use it. I would also appreciate if it doesn't crease on my oily lids... but almost all eyeshadows do, so I just get a good base!

And that's all for this post! Any thoughts on the Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Quad in Copper 'N' Chic?

FOTD : Christmas Red

Hello loves!

Gonna share the makeup I wore during Christmas day.
It's not fancy or glamorous. It's actually one of the usual looks I wore, but I used products that are either new or haven't shared in the blog before.

I wore a vibrant, matte red lippie paired with nude eyeshadows and a bold winged liner. I added some shimmery neutral colors to add some glow on my face.

So here are the products I used:

Here you'll see the products I used for my face.
You might be wondering why you're seeing too many foundations there. I actually mix the Lancome and TCFS to get the right shade (the Lancome one is too dark and I'm trying to finish it), while the Estee Lauder has the best coverage among my foundations, which I use around my jaw area where I most of my acne scars are at. I'm lazy to put concealer on each scar so I just spread the foundation there. Haha! :P

Above photo shows the products I used for my eyes and brows. I used my new Celeteque DermoCosmetics Eyeshadow Palette here and the finish is pretty good. A closeup of my eyes will be shown shortly. ;)

And to add colors for my cheeks and lips, I used the products above. The star of the look is my Ellana Cosmetics Lip in Luxe in Love is True! This is my current go-to matte red lipstick. :D

Anyway, I can put the list of products sometime soon. For now, you can comment below if you have questions. Haha!

So here's a closeup of the EOTD:

Neutral shades and a bold winged eyeliner to compliment the bold and vibrant red shade of my lips.

Here's how I looked a few seconds after i finished my makeup.

Most of the items I used are matte—my lipstick and eyeshadows. I even add powder on my face to keep it matte. I added some highlighter to add a youthful glow as you can see on the photos!

And that's my FOTD!

What makeup did you wear during Christmas day?

August and Early September (2016) Haul

Hey guys!

It's my birthday month and I started buying my birthday gifts early! HA~! Well, I do have a birthday bonus from my work so I have the extra money to spend. Some of these were from the kindness of my mom's heart too. LOL

Anyway, just sharing my newly acquired stuff for art, fashion, hygiene, and beauty!

Art After War by Patrick Flores - PhP 5,500.00
The Struggle for Philippine Art by Purita Kalaw-Ledesma and Amadis Ma. Guerrero - PhP 3,500.00

I took my comprehensive exam in grad school last month and these books contain majority of the topics included in one of our tests. I didn't have to buy them since these are also available in the UST Library, BUT during the last couple of weeks before the exam, classes were interrupted because of the heavy rains and I can't access the books. Thinking that these can be good reference materials for my thesis and will also be a good addition to my growing art library, I bought them... well, my mom bought them for me since it will be my birthday soon. I actually just borrowed money since I didn't have cash on hand, but she said I don't have to pay her back. Thanks, Mom!

Tokyo Finds Metallic Pens - PhP 299.75 (from Fully Booked)
I sort of regretted buying this because I still have metallic pens at home. What I like about this is that the end is like a felt-tip kind and not the metallic pointed tip so I can produce thicker lines. All colors work great on black paper and I can still use it on my artworks, which makes these an okay buy.

CRAYONS!

Yes, these are for me to use. Haha! I actually make crayon art! ;)
I'm trying to find other good crayon brands to try. I really like Crayola but I wanted to see if there are professional-grade crayons. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any at National Bookstore, Glorietta, but I'll check out art stores next!

Dorothy Perkins Dress

It was on sale for PhP 1.1k. The print is cute kasi e! Haha!

Messy Bessy Roach Repellant Spray - Around PhP 240.00

The creature I'm scared of (well, at least among the creatures I encounter in the city) the most is the flying ipis! I like this because it doesn't smell as bad as the Baygon brand that my mom uses at home.

Desk and Workspace Cleaner - PhP 70.00

You can use it to wipe your computer/laptop screens too!

Margins Dishwashing Liquid - PhP 45.00

I use this to clean my makeup brushes. I clean my brushes at least once a week and I use quite a lot of tools since I don't use the same brushes (especially the ones for foundations/bb creams) more than once so having an affordable and effective cleaning product is a must for me.

Luxe Scents Fresh Bamboo Aroma Concentrate - Around PhP 200.00
This smells super awesome!!!

Of course I had to drop by Beauty Bar to check what's on sale...

Natura Siberica Cooling Foot Cream Peeling - PhP 261.25
Natura Siberica Smoothing Heel and Foot Balm - PhP 166.25

These babies are on sale from PhP 475.00 so I bought them to give my feet some TLC!

Palladio Eye Shadow Quad in Copper N Chic - PhP 166.25

Original price was PhP 475.00.

Mineral Fusion Volumizing Beauty Balm For Hair - PhP 382.25

Original Price was PhP 695.00

Mineral Fusion Hair Repair Conditioner - PhP 324.50
Original Price was PhP 590.00

Natura Siberica Tonic Lotion - PhP 218.75
Original Price was PhP 625.00. This is gonna expire by October but since it's affordable now and I'll be using it daily AND it's for oily skin, then I just decided to try it out and see if it's good. :P

AND LOOK!

Cargo is now in the Philippines! I remember my first Cargo product back in 2006. It's a blush that's already phased out called "Gotham." It was a favorite of Liz and I. :)

Just this weekend I made some serious spending too. Check these out:

Kasaysayan: The History of the Filipino People - PhP 3,500.00
(from Fully Booked)
I wasn't able to get it for less than 2k when it was on sale but 3.5k is still a good steal.

We also went to the Manila Sundance Bazaar held in the World Trade Center last weekend.

I bought pretty much the same stuff I did when I went with Liz at the Supersale Bazaar last July.

A sketch pad (PhP 150.00) and a fountain pen with refills (PhP 50.00) from Variety Online (Instagram)

A necklace (PhP 200.00) from Soulmade

Got these clothes for PhP 150.00:

Lastly, we were able to score this Hario v60 Dripper for PhP 150.00 from the bazaar.

Again, I went to Beauty Bar to splurge on a few more stuff...

Canus Lavender Soaps - PhP 127.50 each
Original price was PhP 150.00

ArtDeco Nail Lacquer in Ruby Cream - PhP 130.00
Original price was PhP 325.00

ArtDeco Miami Collection Eyeshadow Stick in American Girl - PhP 178.50
Original price was PhP 595.00

ArtDeco Glam Vintage Lipstick in Glamorous Valentine - PhP 268.50
Original price was PhP 895.00

Phew! That's a lot! Haha! So yeah, a happy early birthday to me. LOL

Cheers,

I think it's no secret that I LOVE the color peach... and this is why I was so drawn to this blush the moment I laid my eyes on it. It's just darn beautiful!

It's actually PEACHY PINK and that shade is usually the color that looks best on my cheeks because it just makes me look fresh.

And what I like about it is I can pair it even when I have bold makeup like a strong eyeliner or dark eye shadow.

I just love the color and the matte finish. It easily became my go-to blush when I'm in a hurry because I know that it will look good whatever makeup I use for my eyes or lips. ;)

What do you think of the Palladio Herbal Matte Blush in Peach Ice?
