Makeup Experiment #01 : Vireza is a Geisha

 Hey everyone!

I have mentioned before that I've been doing a series of creative makeovers with my classmates.
This is actually something we just came up with since we are free from all the schoolwork and just waiting for our graduation day.

Everything from the makeup, costume, hairstyle, photography, lighting, modelling and editing were all done by us! We can say that we applied here some of the things we've learned during our 4-year stay in the College of Fine Arts majoring in Advertising Arts! Plus, this can serve as the creative shot for our graduation photos since majority of my friends (including me) only took the package wherein we were in our toga. Kuripot much?

If you love doing makeovers and prettifying people, get your beauty school diploma and turn your love of makeup into a career.

So first up in our series of makeovers is a geisha theme. You might be wondering why I chose this... It's actually inspired from my thesis. I illustrated scenes from the novel by Arthur Golden, "Memoirs of a Geisha." I am so in-love with the geisha culture that I want to do a makeover inpired by it. I chose Vireza to be my model because out of all my friends, she looks the most 'Japanese.'

These are the people behind this shoot:

Makeup by : Yours truly
Hairstyle : Abbigail Ambrosio
Model : Vireza Wynn Yu
Place taken : My room (Yes, it has awesome lighting)

 And here are the pictures!!

Quite different from the simple Vireza we're used to seeing.

 See?

Here are more shots!

The right photo is my favorite! ♥
It would have been nicer if she was wearing long sleeves! Haha! Fail!

Vireza actually doesn't like the feeling of the falsies but she still managed to pose very well and deliver awesome photos! Very professional! Magmowdelz ka na, Vire!

It was a funny shoot since Vireza is only wearing a bathrobe and her hair accessories came from the artificial flowers that are displayed on our living room. Talk about being resourceful! Haha!

There are actually more photos from my classmates' cameras but they haven't uploaded them yet so I can't include them in this post. :(

It's something we find really fun to do since we get to pour a lot of creative juices we have. Plus, we have to portray different themes and famous celebrities. Stay tuned for more. Next in line to be blogged soon is a Twiggy inspired look!

So what do you think of these photos?
Cheers,
DAWN
