Etude House Pure Water Baobab Moisturizer

Hey dears!

This product was sent to me for review by Etude House PH last month. I believe that this is one of the products they've released recently. I was really curious about this because of the claims that it is made of 54% baobab water. I actually didn't know about this ingredient and had to do some readings online. It turns out, according to this article, that baobab is a fruit that has one of the highest amount of antioxidants and vitamin C. These factors boosts or stimulates collagen production which highly benefits the skin.

Knowing about those skin benefits, I was super excited to try the product out. But before we proceed, let's check out what the press release says:

PURE WATER BAOBAB MOIST LINE
Baobab is a tree commonly found in Africa, popular for the life-sustaining water in its trunk and branches. Etude House harnessed the power of this tree plus moringa seed extract to purify and moisturize the skin. It’s also hypoallergenic, making it perfect for dry and sensitive skin. To achieve better results, it’s ideal to use the toner (Pure Water Baobab Moist Skin), emulsion (Pure Water Baobab Moist Moisturizer), and then the cream (Pure Water Baobab Moist Cream).

Pure Water Baobab Moist Skin (Php 578.00)
✦ Pure Water Baobab Moist Emulsion (Php 648.00)
✦ Pure Water Baobab Moist Cream (Php 798.00)

And below are the labels on the box:

The emulsion is housed in this clear, plastic bottle. I really like the design—it's simple and still girly. I especially like the cap because it makes the big difference in making the simple bottle look cuter.

But what I didn't like is that it doesn't have a pump or anything to dispense the product easier. You have to tilt it down and let the product pour out. It will be easy at first while the bottle is still full but if you're nearly finished with this, it will be a challenge to get the product out. Good thing that the emulsion isn't thick. :P

The consistency is unlike many of the moisturizers and emulsions I've tried. This is thinner or more watery that makes it so easy to spread on skin. It gets absorbed very fast by the skin and it has no sticky feeling as well. It barely has any scent too!

I like this product because it does give my skin enough moisturization without the feeling of greasiness or stickiness. I also like that it doesn't have any strong scents. What I like best is that it's affordable—the 180ml is only Php 648.00. I use this daily, usually before I put on my makeup. Although before I sleep, I use products that give more intensive hydration for my skin.

So what do you think of the Etude House Pure Water Baobab Moisturizer? Have you tried any product from this new line yet?

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner Definer in 005 Pure

Hey dolls!

I'll be sharing a quick swatch post of this product that my sister gave me. I don't use lip liners much but I've almost finished this particular one because I use this as a lipstick! This has fantastic pigmentation and the color is very, very gorgeous!

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner Definer in 005 Pure

My sis bought this at Sydney so I don't know what the price is. But I bet that this was more expensive there than when bought in the US for example. LOL. She keeps complaining how most of the things are more expensive there. :P

Anyway, below are pictures of the labels on the packaging.

Short product description from the website:

Long Lasting precise contour colour Full Volume Colour and definition. Soft texture Fine tipped automatic liner

And it is available in 9 shades.

This is a twist-up liner—no need to sharpen! Yay!

What I noticed when I first applied this is that it is super creamy that it breaks easily. A centimeter-long part just broke and fell off. Yikes! And I don't think I even applied it in a hard way. Maybe this happened because of the hot weather in the country that's why it got softer... I dunno. But oh well, just twist it up in a way that there's only a short amount of product showing, like 3mm. :P

Swatch on hand

Here's the product when I use it to line my lips.

Applied fully on the lips.

The color is a vibrant pink and it's matte. It really looks fabulous! But it makes the dry areas of your lips very noticeable. Plus, this can dry the lips easily.

Below are my pictures using the product as a lipstick.

So what do you think? Have you tried any lip liners from Rimmel yet? Do you often use lip liners?

The Body Shop Geisha Doll Lip and Cheek Stain

Hello loves!

The Body Shop has something super cute in-store for you this holiday season.
Most of you might already know that their bestselling product in the country is their lip and cheek stain. Well, this really good product just became more awesome. They've added a new shade and it's inside this very, very cute geisha doll packaging!

OMG! This is just cuteness overload!!!!!!
Below are their press releases for some info about this product:

First of all, I just can't get enough of this really, really, ridiculously cute packaging. I really like that the bun of the hair is the handle of the applicator. They really put some thought in this design. They made it really cute but still not too bulky. Super, duper like! (But even if it is bulky, I'd still carry this in my purse because it's just really cute!)

The box and packaging has all the important info labeled on them.

The shade is red which is pretty close to the one that the geisha in the design is wearing.

You won't get any leaks with this packaging. It's a twist-up bottle and you can just close it tightly and you won't encounter that problem.

This is the applicator.

Swatch on hand

On my lips

Ummm... make sure you moisturize your lips really well when you use this. I just scrubbed my lips here and it emphasized the parts where there used to be dry patches. :P

I achieved that color after 2-3 coats of the stain. You can easily control how red you want your lips and cheeks to be. It's not like those tints that are too dark and pigmented that you have to hurry to spread so that it won't make those weird strong colored patches on the skin. But you still have to spread it nicely, okay? I suggest you use your fingers or a soft sponge. Hehe. :P

For the cheeks, I dabbed 2-3 dots per cheek to create that subtle blush. It really warms up the skin. It really looks good for a simple makeup during the holidays.

This can stay up to 5 hours on me as a lippie unless I eat or drink. As a cheek tint, probably less because of my oily face. But I bet this can last even half a day to those who have dry to normal skin.

And that's all for this post. Check out the new Geisha Doll Lip and Cheek Stain at any of the branches of The Body Shop near you! Go and doll yourself up!!!

So what do you think of this holiday treat from The Body Shop? Don't you just love this Geisha Doll themed product? Don't you find the packaging really cute too?

Tony Moly Kiss Lover Lip Master (Nude Collection) in Nude Orange

Hey girlies!

Looking for a fun orange lippie? Then look no further!

Let me introduce to you this product from Tony Moly...

Tony Moly Kiss Lover Lip Master (Nude Collection) in Nude Orange

This lippie costs Php 548.00

It has a shelf life of a year.

I really like the sleek packaging of this one. It looks very classy but there's a hint of playfulness there because of the chosen font.

The applicator is a little slanted for easier application and I like that this doe-foot applicator can hold much product that can cover my whole lips.

A swatch on my hand

And here it is on my lips

It gives a nice, pigmented, glossy orange that makes your lips looking luscious and fun.

And that's me with the lippie on.

The color really brightens up the face. I love that this lip color never dried my lips and that it smells super nice—very fruity! Although staying power isn't that great... maybe it will stay for a good 3 hours without any major eating or drinking.

And if you want to add more fun to your lips, why not add a gradient effect? This lip color is a great base for that. I just add a nice red shade near the inner areas of my lips. Check it out below.

The colors remind me of an apple mango. So cute!

So what do you think of the Tony Moly Kiss Lover Lip Master in Nude Orange? Would you wear a shade like this? Have you tried their other colors?

La Femme Blush-On Rouge in Rose and Mulberry

Hello gorgeous!

Among my makeup, I think I placed the least importance to my blushes. I'm not saying I don't use them, blush is actually a staple in my makeup routine. What I mean is that... I guess any brand will just do for me since I focus mostly on eye makeup and the lips. So I don't really mind if it's matte, if it's shimmery, if it's powdery (although maybe too chalky may turn me off), or it has a cheap packaging. As long as the color looks nice with the rest of my makeup, then it's good enough for me. Among all the makeup that gives color to the face, I don't have much blushes if you compare it to the amount of eyeshadow palettes and lipstick tubes that I have. It's probably even less than 1/4 of the eyeshadow palettes that I have. Haha!

But recently, I got interested in buying some blushes from a friend who was selling some. She bought some during one of her travels and decided to sell some here. Anyway, I saw that these blushes have high reviews and my friend swears that they are really good so I was convinced to try them myself.

La Femme Blush-On Rouge

I have them in Rose and Mulberry.

This blush actually comes in 52 shades. Woah!

Rose is a little more sweet, warm, medium pink color compared to Mulberry.

Mulberry is a cool toned pink, almost plum-ish.

This blushes are crazy pigmented. Here are swatches with one heavy swipe.

Left: Rose
Right: Mulberry

But of course I wouldn't dare wear them like that. I like my blushes very subtle because I tend to wear strong eye makeup or bold lipsticks. Check out the photos below to see how I use them on my cheeks.

Using Rose.

Using Mulberry.

I really like both blushes but while I was checking out the other shades, I just fell in-love with desert rose. I hope I can get my hands on that someday. :O

So what do you think of these blushes? Have you tried them out yet? :)
