Celeteque DermoCosmetics Moisturizing Lip and Cheek Duo

Hello loves!

You're probably familiar with some of the products from Celeteque DermoCosmetics. I've been sharing my thoughts about the products I received last December and so far loving each and every one of them!

Today, I'll share another of their product that is dual-purpose...
Celeteque DermoCosmetics Moisturizing Lip and Cheek Duo
in shades Rosy Blush and Soft Berry

Product info from the press release:

If you’re on the go and need a one-stop-shop solution to add some bloom to your look, you may just find the Céleteque DermoCosmetics Moisturizing Lip and Cheek Duo (P665), available in Rosy Blush and Soft Berry, is a lifesaver. This oil-free and streak-free mousse contains Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), which acts as an antioxidant that protects your lips and cheeks from free radicals that lead to dryness, as well as Sodium Hyaluronate and Glycerin, which help your skin retain moisture better, making it firmer, softer, and smoother for a more youthful appearance.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie... I really thought that it's quite expensive at PhP 665.00 and only has 1.6 ml of the product. But right after my first try, I think that the price was justified and I'll tell you why...

First, as you can see on the swatches, both shades are very pigmented. I was able to get this swatch with only one swipe.

The shades are both wearable and would suit both the lips and the cheeks!
Check out how they look on me on the photos below.

Soft Berry

This shade is a cool-toned pink.

I sort of added too much but I love the pink glow it gives my skin.

On my lips it gives a beautiful creamy mix of magenta and purple.

Rosy Blush

This shade is like peachy pink!! LOVE!

The other one I put too much and I find this one too little.

However, I find this harder to get the color to be noticeable on the cheek compared to Soft Berry, but it gives a beautiful "your-lips-but-better" lippie!

Isn't it good?

As a lippie, do make sure that your lips are moisturized and well exfoliated because chappy lips are more noticeable with this applied. It doesn't dry lips, in fact, I find my lips softer when I wear it. It can stay a long while, but eating and drinking can easily wipe them away.

As a cheek tint, it doesn't stay too long on my oily skin. Reapplication is needed for me after 4 hours. What I do like is how natural it looks on my skin. It's like the colors are naturally produced by my cheek.

So as you can see, I think it's a pretty good product that does more than one job. It gives color on both lips and cheeks and it even helps retain moisture! And knowing that it's from Celeteque, it's hypoallergenic and dermatologically-tested. So going back to the price, I think this is worth it!

And that's what I think about the Celeteque DermoCosmetics Moisturizing Lip and Cheek Duo. What are your thoughts?

Pink Sugar: Sugar Tint Lip and Cheek Tint in Posh Purple

Good evening guys,

I've always wanted to try putting really dark lipstick on but I could never get it right. Dawn previously made me up using a dark shade of purple and it looked quite good on me. Since purple is also my favorite color in the recent years, I asked her to suggest a lipstick for me to use.

So one trip to SM Department Store in Makati and she introduced me to Pink Sugar's Sugar Tint.

I love how the product smells like grapes. It reminds me of the tetrapack grape juice I like drinking. But anyway, aside from that, this product is very pigmented. It's very friendly to first timers though as you need to do the blending very quickly or else you won't get an even finish.

Since I've been quite lazy when it comes to moisturizing, I have really badly chapped lips.

It's not pretty, I know. But this helped me find out something about the product. So I cannot stress making sure to apply lip balm and exfoliate your lips before trying the product because the finish is very matte and will worsen dry lips. The good thing though is that the stain lasts long even after your dry lips flake off.

This is NOT the finish. I had to put lip balm on top of it because the dryness was so severe that it's not good to take a photo of. Though if you properly prep your lips it's a super chic color.

Anyway, here is a picture where I actually prepped my lips right.

As you can see, it's quite a pretty shade and seems to fit the vibe that my current hair situation is making.

Anyway, I hope this post is helpful. What do you think about this shade, share your thoughts with us.

Cheers,
LIZ

The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Stain in Pink Hibiscus 001

Hello loves!

Are you a fan of The Body Shop's Lip and Cheek Stain?
I know for a fact that their lip and cheek stains are one of their bestsellers in the Philippines and most of my friends who are also makeup enthusiasts have used this before.

This year, The Body Shop added more shades for us to try and they're also in this cutie-size tube! There are nine shades for us to play with and I currently have one of them...

The Body Shop Lip and Cheek Stain in Pink Hibiscus 001

The product was sent to me by TBS Philippines along with products from their British Rose skincare range.

[+/- CI 17200/Red 33 (Colorant), CI 19140/Yellow 5 (Colorant)].

I think that what made The Body Shop's Lip and Cheek Stain such a popular and well-loved product is its affordability, long-lasting quality, its multifunctional, and it doesn't dry up your lips.

Before the emergence of so many makeup brands carrying tints, The Body Shop's has been there and I think it will continue to be a trusted product for years to come.

That being said, I'm glad that the brand tries to innovate this well-loved product by introducing more shades!

This shade I have here, Pink Hibiscus, is pretty close to their most popular shade Rose Pink.

The quality of the new tints is almost the same except the featured ingredient here is Honey while the tint has Marula Oil.

It has a doe-foot applicator. It can carry enough product to cover my lips. The packaging is pretty simple and I like that it's clear so that we have an idea of the shade we're getting.

Here's a swatch

It has a lovely natural-looking tint. It dries pretty quickly so you better blend fast.

Once it sets, it will last a loooong time!

Here's my face with the product both applied on the lips and cheeks.

I applied quite a lot on the cheeks so that the camera will capture the shade. Haha! For the lips, I had to do 2-3 coats so that it will give me this rosy finish.

It looks very natural if you put on the right amount and it is very lightweight—like you aren't wearing any at all! I like that it acts as both blush and lip color so it's a great travel buddy!

What do you think of this product? Have you tried the other shades? Which one?

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Duo Palette in Celebrity and Diva

Hey dearies!

Do you love cream blushes? Looking for a great bronzer and blush duo, which also happens to be a great lip product too? Then let me introduce to you this lovely product from Ellana Mineral Cosmetics...

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Duo Palette in Celebrity and Diva
This palette is worth Php 460.00.

It's housed in this beautiful compact with an illustration by Soleil Ignacio. This has a mirror and I like that it isn't bulky so it's easy to fit it in your vanity bag. And in case you are wondering, it doesn't come in an applicator.

Labels at the bottom of the packaging

I bought this because I've read some great reviews on this product and my sister, Trace, mentioned that she wants the Diva shade. She's still in Australia though but I'm planning on visiting her this year so I'll let her try this one first then I'll buy her a new one if she'll like it. :)

The cool, bold pink shade is Celebrity while the warm, metallic bronze is Diva.

The swatches

They are so vibrant and pigmented! I got those intense colors in just one swatch! They have a buttery smooth texture that is so easy to spread whether on the lips or on the cheeks. It feels light on skin too. I don't feel like I added any sticky creams on my cheeks which I encountered in some cream blushes I've tried before.

Celebrity on my lips

Diva on my lips

They look gorgeous as lip products. Celebrity would be great for an everyday wear. Pair it with a thick eye liner and you will look pretty and chic! Diva, on the other hand, would definitely help achieve that Bronze Goddess look!

And here's how it looks like on my cheek.

Left picture: Without any product
Right picture: Applied Diva as bronzer

I used Diva as contour to add definition to my face. It is sort of close to my color so it's not too visible and I don't really want to over-bronze myself, especially since the weather now is a bit cold. Anyway, you can still achieve a bronzier look because the shades are buildable and blending is uber easy too!

Applied Celebrity on the cheek

Celebrity gave my cheek a bright, rosy glow! You can also control the intensity of the shade very easily. You can use either your fingers of a stippling brush for these products. I find using the fingers easier though.

I love the finish of both shades. They give a dewy look which looks so natural on my face. My concern though is my oily face and that it doesn't last very long on me (Celebrity lasts longer compared to Diva but I think it is because the color is bolder). What I do is I tap a translucent powder on my cheeks with a Kabuki brush. Don't worry about caking because I haven't encountered any of that when I use them with powder on top. The powder will surely help with the lasting power of the product but it can take away the dewy finish. But it is a price I am willing to pay so that I can retain the rosy glow for a longer time. :)

And those are my thoughts on the Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Duo Palette in Celebrity and Diva. Let me know your thoughts on the palette!

The Body Shop Geisha Doll Lip and Cheek Stain

Hello loves!

The Body Shop has something super cute in-store for you this holiday season.
Most of you might already know that their bestselling product in the country is their lip and cheek stain. Well, this really good product just became more awesome. They've added a new shade and it's inside this very, very cute geisha doll packaging!

OMG! This is just cuteness overload!!!!!!
Below are their press releases for some info about this product:

First of all, I just can't get enough of this really, really, ridiculously cute packaging. I really like that the bun of the hair is the handle of the applicator. They really put some thought in this design. They made it really cute but still not too bulky. Super, duper like! (But even if it is bulky, I'd still carry this in my purse because it's just really cute!)

The box and packaging has all the important info labeled on them.

The shade is red which is pretty close to the one that the geisha in the design is wearing.

You won't get any leaks with this packaging. It's a twist-up bottle and you can just close it tightly and you won't encounter that problem.

This is the applicator.

Swatch on hand

On my lips

Ummm... make sure you moisturize your lips really well when you use this. I just scrubbed my lips here and it emphasized the parts where there used to be dry patches. :P

I achieved that color after 2-3 coats of the stain. You can easily control how red you want your lips and cheeks to be. It's not like those tints that are too dark and pigmented that you have to hurry to spread so that it won't make those weird strong colored patches on the skin. But you still have to spread it nicely, okay? I suggest you use your fingers or a soft sponge. Hehe. :P

For the cheeks, I dabbed 2-3 dots per cheek to create that subtle blush. It really warms up the skin. It really looks good for a simple makeup during the holidays.

This can stay up to 5 hours on me as a lippie unless I eat or drink. As a cheek tint, probably less because of my oily face. But I bet this can last even half a day to those who have dry to normal skin.

And that's all for this post. Check out the new Geisha Doll Lip and Cheek Stain at any of the branches of The Body Shop near you! Go and doll yourself up!!!

So what do you think of this holiday treat from The Body Shop? Don't you just love this Geisha Doll themed product? Don't you find the packaging really cute too?

Cheers,
DAWN
