Canmake Powder Cheeks in PW05

Good evening ladies,

I bring you a short review of the Canmake Powder Cheeks in PW05

I love how straight-forward the packaging is, nothing too fancy yet nothing that looks overly cheap.

Plus the size is perfect for travel and it's been my travel blush ever since I got it.

And again, the notes are all still in Japanese. I do that in the coming days, there is an English version.

So the shade is somewhat near Dawn's favorite shade, Salmon Pink. As you can see, it has a little shimmer to it and is quite lovely and elegant looking.

The accompanying brush is also a marvel as it is really soft and takes up a good amount of pigment.

I am not sure if this is synthetic or real hair.

So here it is swatched on Dawn's hand. See how beautiful it is? It gives off a natural blush on the cheeks.

However, I do believe this shade is more suited for fair skinned individuals like Dawn because when I used it...

It kind of just blended onto my cheeks and disappeared. Sorry about all the oiliness, I wasn't able to check my face before taking the shot and I had been running around errands on a very hot afternoon. Anyway, going back to the blush. On ladies with skin tones like mine, it requires a little more pigment to show. Apply it once and it just lightens the area a little bit and no pink tones visible, so you'd need to apply a couple of times to achieve the same effect it has on fairer toned individuals.

So, overall, this blush is so-so for me. I do like it since it's travel-friendly, the brush is amazing, and the color is great.

The discouraging thing about it is that it does not turn out as lovely on me as it does on girls with fairer skin tones. In the launch event they talked about this being the ideal blush for lazy women as,  they could simply spread the blush on their cheeks when they're on the go but I did not feel it like that since I did have to build the color up. It's still a great blush nonetheless.

That's it for this post. Hope you try it as well. Do tell me if it works for you if you're skin tone is similar to mine or darker.

Cheers,
LIZ

  1. Aw, I'm sorry to see that it's been absorbed from the oils on the skin surface but I know for a fact that these blushes are amazing! You just need to get a deeper, brighter shade! I own 5 shades from this line and I love all of them! Do get more!

  3. It kinda reminds of NARS Orgasm? But a more peachy? It's really nice. :D

  4. I like that it isn't as overly pigmented nor is it super shimmery. How long does it last on you? :)
