Review : Human Nature Natural Strengthening Shampoo in Soothing Aloe

 Hey dears!

I'm going "kind of" organic with my hair care. My scalp experienced some irritations from my previous shampoo that caused breakouts so I want to go milder just to see if my scalp's condition would get better.

I just finished my first bottle yesterday and here's my review on:

Human Nature Natural Strengthening Shampoo in Soothing Aloe

This 500ml bottle is Php 289.75.

Did you Know?
Seeing bubbles doesn’t necessarily equate to clean and healthy. Chemical surfactants such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) are commonly used in chemical shampoos, which create that comforting foamy lather that we’re used to seeing. However, SLS/SLES has been reported by the Environmental Working Group (www.ewg.org) as a moderate hazard to human health, and has been linked to skin irritation, cancer and organ toxicity.

Ingredients:
aqua, sodium cocoyl isethionate (coconut derived), decyl glucoside (coconut derived), sodium lactate (sugarcane derived), sodium gluconate (sugarcane derived), guar gum , Cocos nucifera (coconut) nectar, dicaprylyl ether (vegetable derived), Persea Americana(avocado) oil, levulinic acid (rice or corn derived), natural fragrance oil, hydrolyzed wheat protein, sodium phytate (rice derived), anisic acid (anise seed derived), citric acid

Beauty Tips:
When making the switch from a chemical shampoo to a natural one, some people experience slight irritation of the scalp – a detoxification effect from sudden withdrawal from chemicals in your usual shampoo – as it adjusts to the natural ingredients. Don’t worry though, if you do feel this, it should disappear after regular use of the natural shampoo.

Here’s a tip for extra scalp care: Massage a few drops of our Sunflower Beauty Oil into your scalp before you sleep, and shampoo it off in the morning.

Product care tip: Give your shampoo bottles a quick shake before using to make sure that you get all the goodness into your hair.

The cap is easy to open unlike other shampoo bottle caps that requires quite a lot of force to open. I hate those! Haha!

The shampoo isn't as thick as the commercialized ones.
It's easy to get it from the bottle since it flows easily out of the bottle, plus, the bottle is easy to squeeze too.

The scent is very mild and smells of aloe. Don't expect that the scent will linger in the hair. This shampoo isn't as foamy as the usual shampoos we use since it is mostly organic and doesn't have the chemicals that make that fluffy foam. Having lots of foam doesn't make your hair cleaner anyway.

I wish I bought the conditioner as well. The shampoo alone wouldn't provide enough moisturization for my hair. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't make your hair dry but the intense weather here in the Philippines can damage your hair.

The 500ml bottle lasted more than a month and I use it daily (I have oily scalp so I had to shampoo daily so that my crowning glory doesn't look greasy). At first, you wouldn't really see much difference. I still experienced the same amount of hair fall and I still had lots of frizz hair. Now my hair is more manageable. I still have hair fall problems but not as major anymore.

I like the result this shampoo has done for my hair. I would probably buy this again but I think I'll be trying out other brands that offer organic products first. Haha! :P

Have you tried this shampoo from Human Nature?
What about their other variants? :)

Cheers,
DAWN

  1. Have just started to try HHN's shampoo for kids (for my daughter of course!), but I'm eyeing this shampoo for myself. I do have hairfall issues and I'm dedicating this year to working on it. I love HHN as a brand so I'm definitely trying this out. Nice to know it worked for you!
