Hey guys!
Been raining for a while now. Hopefully all of you are safe and sound in your homes.
I arrived in mine early (the perks of working close to the house). I was quite tired and some of my muscles are sore from my gym sessions last weekend. I skipped the gym for a couple of weeks (bad, bad, bad) so I guess I'm back to square one. And going out to dinners with the family, since my sis is here for a 2 week vacation from Australia, makes things a lot worse for my diet. :P
Though I was tired and sore, I found comfort and happiness from my little makeup stuff!
I found some palettes that I haven't blogged about for so long and did some product photoshoots. One of them is my...
BYS Eyeshadow Palette in Neutral Charm
I got this at the relaunch event of BYS here in the Philippines. But if you buy this in store, it's around Php 500.00.
The palette is composed of 18 shimmery, neutral shades.
The packaging is made of plastic. It's sturdy and I like that you can see the eyeshadows even when the palette is closed.
At the back of the palette you'll see the ingredients list and other info about BYS.
Life span of this product is 1 year.
This eyeshadow palette has 2 of this applicator. I lost the other one though. :( But that's okay, I barely use these applicators anyway.
Now, for the swatches,
Here they are on paper.
and a closeup of the palette for reference

As you can see, they are quite pigmented. I really loooove how they looked when I first swatched it. My problem is that they have a weak staying-power. Even with a nice eyeshadow primer, they tend to crease on my lids in 3-4 hours. :( They're a bit chalky as well so be extra careful in applying them. Tap off extra powder before you put the shadows on your lid to avoid any from falling to your cheeks (that goes not just on this particular palette but to all kinds of powder shadow).
I like the color selections on this palette but I can't say I love this since I find lasting-power to be very important with my makeup. I think this will last longer to people with dry-normal skin (curse my oily lids). But still make sure to use good eyeshadow primer!
Have you tried this eyeshadow palette from BYS?
What about their other eye makeup products?
Cheers,
DAWN
This reminds of Shawill eye palette packaging too.. and also the pigmentation of the product.. Nice shades :)
ReplyDeleteThey're surprisingly pigmented but they look a little crumbly in the swatch. When you typed that they were chalky, I knew I had the right hunch about this! Unfortunately, that and the shimmer makes it a no-go for me. Thanks for reviewing it!
ReplyDeleteAnne - Haven't tried eyeshadows from Shawill but I like their eyeliners. :)
ReplyDeleteTellie - You're welcome! :)
