Hey loves!
T.G.I.F.!
Glad to be at home and resting after a week of getting back in the work force! Haha!
I actually missed doing something more productive outside the house. Haha! What I didn't miss are the long hours of being out of the house and having to walk during the intense heat of Manila. And another thing I didn't like is the constant wondering if my makeup still looks good since I barely do retouches and I don't bring all the products I used in the look (I usually just bring my powder, a blush and the lipstick I used for the day).
My major concern about my makeup are the eyes. I love eye makeup the most so I won't ever go out of the house without anything on my lids. Since I don't bring the products with me, I make sure that I use items that are long lasting. That's why a good primer or eye makeup base is a must in my routine. I've tried a number of products but I still look around for other ones to try.
The product I will be sharing with you today is a makeup base from Etude House. I've actually used one from the brand already, their Proof 10 Eye Primer. I really liked that product and I do recommend you try it as well. That's why I had high hopes for this eye shadow base from EH...
Etude House Look At My Eyes Pearl Shadow Base
This is Php 278.00 in stores.
Here's the back of the product.
Packaging is cute just like most if Etude House's products.
The cap is transparent so you could really see the shade of the product and how much is left of it. It's not bulky so it saves space and is easy to carry with you.
I actually bought it because it just has this nice pearly beige shade that looks so gorgeous!
Below are swatches:

On my arm
It's so pretty that you can just leave it as is. But I still top it off with powder eyeshadow. I have really oily lids that's why I use powder ones.
So let me show you what it does to my eyeshadows...
Here are the swatches of my Laura Mercier Eyeshadow in mermaid with and without Etude House Look At My Eyes Pearl Shadow Base.
It really made my powder eyeshadow stand out! It made it more gorgeous and pearly!
Everything seemed great except after a few hours... my eye makeup creased. It creased faster than it normally does. Staying power of my eyeshadows alone was longer without it compared when I have this makeup base on. This disappointed me a lot since that is the reason why I look for bases or primers in the first place.
What I LIKE:
Affordable
Locally Available
Cute packaging
Lovely pearly shade
Makes my eyeshadows bolder
What I DON'T LIKE:
Made my eyeshadow crease and shortened its lasting power
Will I repurchase?
Definitely not. I want a base that prolongs my makeup. That's what they are for in the first place, at least for me.
Have you tried Etude House Look At My Eyes Pearl Shadow Base?
What are your thoughts on this?

ReplyDeleteI don't know much about eyeshadows because my make-up know-how only goes up to blush and eyeliners. LOL But this shimmery shade looks promising!
