NOTD : Leopard Print Blue Tips

Hey everyone!

It's the weekend again!
Time to pamper ourselves from all the stress school or work gives us!
Why not prettify your nails like I did a few days ago?

Tadaaaaaaaaa!!!

I was in the mood to paint my nails while watching some youtube vids. :P

I planned on doing  a gradient look because I wanted to put to use some of my old makeup sponges.

And of course I wanted to practice drawing with my left hand! Haha!
I have this mission in life to be somewhat ambidextrous! Hahaha! :p

See! That's my left hand's nails!
I'm so proud it turned up well. I'm so proud of myself. LOL

Here are the nail polishes I used in this NOTD.

I applied Pearl Pink first and one coat of Princess.

Then from middle to top, I applied Dare using the makeup sponge and afterwards put Blue Splash on the tips.

Using gold and black acrylic paints, I drew the leopard prints on the blue areas.

Then to finish the look, I added Jocarste 642 on top for the glittery look!

Hope you like this NOTD!

It's quite easy to do if you have the patience and steady hands.

Cheers!

NOTD: Finding Nemo!

We absolutely love the Disney-Pixar Film, "Finding Nemo."

A few days ago, Dawn watched the film again and came up with the idea of making a Finding Nemo-inspired NOTD!

So here are the polishes used in this NOTD.
San San nail polish Tangerine Burst
 Etude House White Nail Polish
 Caronia Clear Polish
Elianto Nail Color in Blue Splash
San San nail polish in Canary Glow

For the black lines, we used black acrylic.

on Dawn's nails are the colors inspired from Marlin (Nemo's dad). She actually isn't a fan of orange but the theme suits her nails more since they are longer.

And on Liz are a mixture of yellow and blue inspired from Dory. Liz LOVES Dory so much!

So here's our nails.

We took the pictures right after we finished doing the nails that's why it's still kinda messy. :P

Coincidentally, the following week, Dawn went to Manila Ocean Park with some relatives.
She get to take pictures of different marine life and look what she found!

More Nemo friends!!

But her favorite of 'em all are these:
Aren't they beautiful?

Especially this one. She just loves posing for the camera! :P

So that's all for now! Ciao!

'Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...'

Cheers!

NOTD: Elianto Nail Polish no. 24

I  wanted a soft, light colored, yet playful color for my nails today so as I was looking at my box of nail polishes, I found one of my old nail polishes which we've blogged about before.

I used our Elianto Nail Polish 24. It still performs well after 9 months. It's easy to apply and has not gone sticky yet. Although you need to apply 3-4 coats for it to be this opaque.

Then I added Caronia Nail Polish in Crystal on top to give it a frosty, sparkly finish! I love anything sparkly! haha. :P

Cheers,

Lootwagonista Love!

So yes, I am very excited to share what I've received from Aimee! This is my first time to win an extremely generous loot made up of useful and high-end items - all because she enjoyed reading my contest entry

Thank you so much,

Look, a sweet note from dear Aimee!

Here are the prizes!

4.5g Net wt. 0.16 oz.

"Our do-it-all cream shadow lines, shades and contours eyes with its alluring crease-proof, smudge-proof formula. Go as sheer or as dramatic as you like with buildable color. Either way, these shadows stay put!what else you need to know:These gorgeous creams come in 11 blendable shades that can be worn alone or mixed for endless custom looks."

The product looks like the cream version of Stila's Kitten Eyeshadow, which I have as well! I think they'll look very good together.

Now I want to buy the shade Birthday Suit! Check out the swatches @ Temptalia.

8.6ml e 0.29 US fl oz
"Enhance your intimate experiences. The love child of lip gloss and lipstick, Ultraglide provides the ultra-slick texture of a deluxe gloss with the semi-opaque color of a lipstick. The result: deep, rich color and beautiful coverage without the tackiness of other glosses. Featuring antioxidant Vitamin E and skin conditioners, the unique (and provocative) lightweight texture offers a smooth glide that takes lethal lips to an entirely new level. And to further heighten your pleasure, each shade is laced with a unique flavor. Mmmm."

Gorgeous color, don't you think? =)

"Why we love it: Conceal the evidence with you're bluffing, our buttermilk yellow cream stick that conceals redness. what else you need to know:The portable slimline design makes touch-ups a breeze!
1.0g Net wt. 0.03 oz.

I've never tried a shocking yellow concealer before, so this is a first! From the looks of it, this one is very pigmented. Will see how this goes!

"Why blush when you can fake a flirtatious flush! CHEEKY TINTS is a dual-purpose cheek and lip tint, simply brush on a hint of tint for a cheeky flushed complexion and sexy stained pout. The revolutionary fine brush applicator delivers a precise and instant splash of colour for a long lasting, no mess finish."

The stain it leaves looks very similar to Avon's Simply Pretty Lip and Cheek Tint, which I adore! This is a tad better, given that it smells yummy!

Now I have no excuse not to wash my brushes after every use!

I have not started using them yet, but I will be going out tomorrow so I'll try them out then. Thanks to my sister Dawn for taking the photos. =)

Cheers,
Trace

NOTD: Elianto Nail Polish

Colour Lacquer @ PhP 99
Strengthener @ PhP 130

L-R
Bisque, Thistle, Alice Blue, Strengthener

On Dawn: I applied Thistle as base, Alice Blue for a large french tip, and decorated with nail art stars from Divisoria. Cute right?

On Trace: I used the Strengthener as base coat, Thistle as color, and Orly Nails for Males as top coat for a semi-matte finish. A side story: I have successfully not bitten my nails for three weeks now - after 16 years! It's because I want pretty nails and hands, too!

We have both been looking for polishes that are of "pure color" - no shimmer, no glaze. These Elianto ones are affordable, but it takes two to three coats for the color to become opaque. You also have to work with the brush and be patient to make the finish look nice.

We confess! We are not nail mavens and we haven't tried higher end brands aside from Orly bases and topcoats =( We hope to get some on our hands soon, hoping that these polishes are easier to use - less coats, fast drying time, easy application.

Cheers,
Dawn and Trace

P.S. from Tracy: I've also noticed that due to the thick layer of polish, it takes so long for it to dry. And even after 3 hours, I got some dents on my left fingernails =( What top coat should I use?

Trace's July Birthday Mini-Haul!

Trace writes: It's my 24th birthday yesterday! I'd like to share the measely stuff I've hauled (just a few, really - my mother bought more than me). I am actually disappointed with myself - I intend to get more. Haha.

Debenhams
(this is actually a gift from Tita Chona)

Mango
(is anyone aware of local online stores that sell cotton/polyester tank tops with fantastic funky prints just like this one? Let me know!)

Elianto
(coz I am determined to not bite my nails anymore!)

My family and I celebrated at Mall of Asia. We just had coffee @ UCC, checked out the year-end sales (totally underwhelming, sad sad sad), and dinner @ Fish & Co. BTW I did something horribly embarrassing (since my brother and sister wouldn't do it): I coerced our server to send over free dessert since it's my birthday. She obliged. And then I forced my mom, ninang and siblings to sing me a "Happy Birthday"!

Cheers,
Trace
