E.L.F 100 Piece Eye Shadow Set

Good evening ladies,

My good friend brought me back a nice present from Hawaii so I thought of sharing it with you.

This is my first 100 piece palette and I'm not really sure how I'd go about using it.

Dawn and I immediately noticed that this palette has mosaic pieces. Some of the mosaic pieces are matte with the glitters mosaic-ed (if there is such a word) and some just have matte combinations.

Swatches:
These are arranged from left to right.

The second column for was the hardest to get to color. No matter how hard I rubbed the palette, the color just doesn't pop.

Same goes for this column

Overall, this palette is only so-so, I was greatly disappointed by the black palette. I was expecting a really deeply dark pigment as the gradient got darker, but that was not the case. It wasn't black, it was just smog-like if not smoke-like.

Well, that's it for this very short swatch post... I hope I put this palette to good use though. :)

Cheers,
LIZ

NOTD : Leopard Print Blue Tips

Hey everyone!

It's the weekend again!
Time to pamper ourselves from all the stress school or work gives us!
Why not prettify your nails like I did a few days ago?

Tadaaaaaaaaa!!!

I was in the mood to paint my nails while watching some youtube vids. :P

I planned on doing  a gradient look because I wanted to put to use some of my old makeup sponges.

And of course I wanted to practice drawing with my left hand! Haha!
I have this mission in life to be somewhat ambidextrous! Hahaha! :p

See! That's my left hand's nails!
I'm so proud it turned up well. I'm so proud of myself. LOL

Here are the nail polishes I used in this NOTD.

I applied Pearl Pink first and one coat of Princess.

Then from middle to top, I applied Dare using the makeup sponge and afterwards put Blue Splash on the tips.

Using gold and black acrylic paints, I drew the leopard prints on the blue areas.

Then to finish the look, I added Jocarste 642 on top for the glittery look!

Hope you like this NOTD!

It's quite easy to do if you have the patience and steady hands.

Cheers!

E.L.F. Warm Eyeshadow Palette

Hello dears!

Just a quick swatch post for today.

This is actually a gift for Liz from her Aunt from Canada.

E.L.F. Warm Eyeshadow Palette

Label at the back

It's a palette composed of 32 warm toned eye shadows.

It's something that will suit most skin tones. Especially, Filipina skin!
It offers quite a big selection of color and you can actually do a lot of looks from everyday, simple look to dramatic, evening look! Hello my favorite smokey eyes!

Here's a close up of the palette

And the next are swatches

Swatches of eyeshadows in the first two rows from left to right

and

Swatches of eyeshadows in the last two rows from left to right

It is pigmented but kind of powdery.
It's affordable though but Liz already has a UD Naked palette so she said she might not use this much.

Do you own palettes from E.L.F?
How do you like them?

Cheers!

Haul Post: When Kikay Tita Meets Kikay Niece

Hello ladies,

This is the good thing about kikay titas, they give you some of their stuff which they don't really use that often but are still really good. That's what happened to me when I met my uncle and her wife for the first time last week.

See, like most Filipino families, my mother's and father's family is big and we don't get to meet everyone in the family, especially when they start migrating to other countries. And that's the back story with me meeting a family member for the first time.

Anyway, my aunt told me she had a few make up stuffs that she'd only used once or she's never used at all and would like to get them off her hands. So, she gave them to me to either give away or keep.

Here they are:

MAC

Eyeshadows:

Lipgloss palette + cream highlighter/blush:

I had something similar to this one back in the day but due to some unfortunate circumstance it got lost and all I was left with was the brush. I still don't quite get what the one on the left most is.

Brushes:

INGLOT

THE BODY SHOP

Brush roll:

NIVEA

Lipgloss

E.L.F.

Eyeshadow Palette

Well, that's everything she gave me. If you want anything reviewed do leave a comment. This saved me a lot of money. Hopefully I get more hand me downs. :)

Oh and before I leave, as of this week, Dawn will not be able to regularly blog for a while as her dear lappy crashed. Hope it gets fixed quickly and some of her files recovered so she can blog again.

Cheers,
LIZ

FOTD : Because I'm Feeling Mod

 Hey gorgeous!

Here's the FOTD post I was supposed to publish yesterday.

I was out with the family at BGC to celebrate my mom's birthday.

Because of all the hype with bold, matte lipsticks, I've forgotten to use most of my pale lippies. I actually have quite a number of them because I really liked doing smokey makeup.
So yesterday, I explored my makeup stash again and used the palest gloss I have and partnered it with a sexy cat eye liner. No smokey eyes for this one. Just all mod. I used white eyeshadow and some brown ones to add "depth" to my eyes. Too bad I didn't have falsies when I did this cuz they would have added a little more 'umph' to the look!

 MAKEUP USED:

FACE:

Etude House Dr. Oil Solution Anti-Shine Dual Primer
Chanel Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup in 40 Beige
San San Age Defense 2 Way Cake in 01
Ever Bilena Mousse Concealer in Pure Beige
E.L.F. Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

EYES:

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer
Etude House Drawing Eye Brow in Brown
Etude House Color My Brows in 3
Dollface Cosmetics 88 pcs Eye Shadow Palette
Dollface Gel Liner in Black
Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
Wet 'N Wild ColorIcon Eyeliner in White
Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencil in 130 Pixie

CHEEKS:

CoverGirl (I forgot the shade)
Benefit Georgia

LIPS:
MAC Viva Glam Lipglass in Gaga 2

And here are other vain pics I took...

I feel like it works perfectly with the new bangs and my 'doll-like' curls as Liz calls them. I liked the look so much that I will probably do more mod looks for the next few days. Haha.

What do you think of this FOTD? Should it stay or should I stick with colorful ones?

Cheers,
DAWN
