FOTD: Chocolate Cranberry in the Morning

Hello loves!

I was in the mood to wear dark colors today. And since it is the fall season in some parts of the world (lol), maybe I can get away with it even if I'll just be going to the office.

And this is how I look today. I wore a mulberry colored lip that looks chocolate brown when applied thickly. I paired it with brown eyeshadow and a winged liner.

These are the products I used for this FOTD:

If you're interested to know what brands they are and what shade they are, please comment them below. I'm currently in the office right now so I can't check it right away. Sorry! :P

I think the makeup looked nice with my maroon-colored blouse from Forever21 and also my current NOTD which is Sparkling Maroon from Girlstuff.

So what do you think of my FOTD? :)

San San HD High Definition Concealer in Natural

Hey guys!

I'm currently obsessed with finding a GOOOD under eye concealer that is affordable. Most of the ones I've used are quite pricey so I wanted to try others from brands that are cheaper. One of the products I've discovered is from HBC...

San San HD High Definition Concealer in Natural
Php 105.00

Below are pictures of the labels from the packaging:

This comes in three shades: Natural, Beige, and Olive.

The packaging is really nice. I like the metallic, purple look. It looks very clean and it's easy to clean if you get some concealer on it.

I also like that it is twist-up because it makes it easy to dispense the product and I don't have to use my fingers to take the product out.

This is the brush applicator.

Love that it's super soft! No prickly feeling at all!

Here's the swatch on my hand.

The Natural shade is very, very light on me. I think the beige shade would suit my skin tone better. Unfortunately, they ran out of stock when I bought it so I just went with the Natural one because I really, really want to try it out. I just thought that I can top it off with powder that it closer to my skin color. :P

My bare eyes

Haha! My eyes are extra dark and puffy because of the sleepless nights I'm having recently. :P

With the product

It covered the dark circles. Too bad about that it's very light but that's no biggie! When I put my powder on top, here's how it looks:

See? It blended on my skin perfectly! Awesome, right?

What I like about this is the coverage and the staying power. And oh, it has SPF15 too! NICE! And I have never encountered any creasing even when my face starts to get oily. No caking as well! I really like this product. It works well and it's very affordable, what more can you ask for?

And that is all for now!

San San Blush On in 01

Hello dears!

I'm happy to share with you this very affordable blush that I've been using more than any other blushes I have in my stash right now...

It's the San San Blush On in 01.
Got this for only Php 101.00! I used the 1k gift certificate HBC on my birthday last month! :D

The case is the usual packaging of San San.
It's kinda cheap but it's super affordable anyway so I don't expect anything more extravagant. I find it much better than most blush packaging among the ones in the same price range.

The shade I have is 01.
It claims it has SPF 15 and Vitamins A, C and E.

The list of ingredients is located on the box.

I just got to have it when I saw the color on the shelves.
It's just the right soft, matte, peachy pink shade that I've been looking for!

Swatch on paper

Swatch on arm

It has a pearlescent shine too so it's not totally flat. It's not too powdery and staying power is pretty decent. I guess I only retouch after half the day during lunch break at work. :P

This looks really gorgeous when you do those very classy looks a la Holly Golightly lang!
I also use this when I do smokey eye makeup. With super fierce eyes, you have to go with the subtle cheek makeup and this particular shade is just perfect! :D

What do you think of this blush?
Do you currently have a favorite shade of blush that is super affordable too?

My Surprise Birthday Gift from HBC

Hello loves!

Yesterday I went to HBC, Trinoma to pick up a package containing things that I can't tell you just yet. And upon opening the big, heavy paper bag, I found a surprise!!

And when I left the store, I took home all these!

The surprise was this:

A 1k gift certificate to HBC's beauty section! Cool, huh?? I didn't expect this and I was already thinking of buying stuff from the store. I was so happy to see this inside the package since I get to go crazy shopping for new kikay stuff for my birthday!

I bought all these! I actually bought more stuff than I should. These cost more than 1k. Haha! Everything here are items from HBC that I have never used before so I'm very excited to try them. :D

Super thanks, Lorie and the rest of the HBC team! You've been very sweet since the first time we've collaborated. I super appreciate all the support you've given me and our blog. Thanks for the gift and for remembering my birthday (my birthdate is on the 25th)! :D

And for this mysterious package, I'll blog about what this is all about on Sunday! ;)

EOTD : Smokey Frost

Hi lovelies!

Made another EOTD post using my San San Single Eyeshadows!

Since it has been raining a lot these days, my mood was quite gloomy... in a good way. I love the rain! Haha! Anyway, my inspiration for this eye makeup is the weather and this is how it turned out:

These are the shades I used for this.

I also used a black pencil eye liner and mascara to intensify the eyes.

And here are more shots:

It's quite easy to do. Just blend, blend, blend! I did it from darkest to light. From bottom going up. :)

It looks good with very soft pink lips though I think it looks well with peach too. :P

Would you wear something like this for an eye makeup?

EOTD : Metal Rust

Hello dears!

Just sharing an EOTD using some San San Single Eyeshadows I received some weeks ago.

I wasn't planning this look. I just wanted to try the Pink Opal shade since I haven't worn something like it. This looks sort of reminds me of the color of Iron Man. Haha! :P

Here are the eyeshadows used for this look:

Blending these shadows are so easy. They are quite pigmented and they aren't chalky.

More pictures here:

I used my Estee Lauder Sumtuous BoldVolume Lifting Mascara for my lashes and an Avon Black Pencil Liner to define my eyes. :)

That's all for this post!

San San Single Eyeshadows : Swatches and Short Review

Hey dears!

I'm thrilled to share with you these amazingly affordable new single eyeshadows from San San.

These ones I have were sponsored by HBC San San so these are free. But these retail for Php 50.00 each. For that much, you get a large amount of eyeshadow. So sulit, right? An eyeshadow has a diameter of one and a half inches!

They have 20 shades available. They are divided in 4 categories—Earth Tones, Candy Pastels, Jewel Colours, and Smokey Hues.

It is cased in the usual plastic, blue container. The usual look of San San products.

You'll be able to see the date of manufacturing and expiration (2 years shelf life).

There's also a list of ingredients. There's just no indication of how much exactly does one product hold. :P

And now, for the fun part—closeup pics and swatches!

Swatches on paper

You can see that they are already pigmented when applied on a white sheet of paper. This made me excited on what it would look like on skin!

First off, the Earth Tones:
These are the only matte shades in the 20 shades.

Soft Sun Glow, Natural Air Sienna, Water Terra Cotta, Warm Copper Fire, and Deep Earth Brown

Swatches on arm

Next is the cute and bubbly Candy Pastels:
These colors will surely brighten your eyes!

Vanilla Bean, Cotton Candy Pink, Golden Chiffon, Green Mints, and Blueberry Pop
Swatches on arm

Next is the royal shades—Jewel Colours:
This is probably the most pigmented of all the available shades.

Purple Amethyst, Pink Opal, Yellow Topaz, Turquoise Blue, and Emerald Green

Swatches on arm

And finally, get that rocker look with the Smokey Hues shades:
Dark shades that emphasize those sexy, smouldering eyes!

White Frost, Silver Ash, Ash Grey, Charcoal Brown, and Blackground

Swatches on arm

These eyeshadows aren't powdery. They glide smoothly on the skin but you might have to build up the color first on your makeup brush if you will be using one. I find that the pigments stick on your fingers better but using brushes make eyeshadows longer lasting. I think it's because of the oils on the skin and stuff.

Lasting power of these eyeshadows is pretty decent IF partnered with a really good makeup base. I use my UDPP and it can last the whole day with only minimal creasing. Without eyeshadow primer, it will crease as fast as 4-5 hours on my oily lids.

That's all for my short review and swatch post!

Which of the shades do you like the most? I'm loving Natural Air Sienna and Emerald Green the most! :)
