Hey loves! :D

The shade I received is Bling Pearl.

Above photos are closeups on the details labeled on the product

The packaging really fits the collection. The color and the design has that ocean feel to it.

Below's a swatch of the product on my arm:

I got that finish with just one swipe but you can still build it up for a more vibrant effect. But I don't think that it will have the same effect as the swatch on the press release which is on a black background. On skin, it's a lot more subtle.

Here's the product applied on my eye lid:

It has a sparkly, water-like finish... like water glistening on your eyes. But I didn't apply primer there. Though I doubt that it would do much difference if I did. This product has a very subtle effect and is mainly for adding sparkles. It does feel light and even if it's all sparkly, it feels smooth.

It is waterproof. I've placed the swatch on running water and rubbed it a couple of times and the sparkles were still there. This creases on oily lids though so I guess a good primer can help with that. And you have to wait 'til it sets because it easily rubs off or transfers from skin to skin... so if you try to spread it using your fingertips, expect that it will transfer to your fingertips. Booo.

What I LIKE:

Pearl-like shine
Sparkles!
Locally Available
Waterproof
Can be an eyeliner and eyeshadow
Available in 5 shades
Feels light and smooth
Packaging

What I am NEUTRAL about:

Price

What I DO NOT LIKE:

Creases on oily lids
Too subtle finish (I like bold colors)
Transfers easily from skin to skin

Would I buy one again?
Probably not. I'm more fond of powder eyeshadows. Though I find the pearlescent, sparkly finish beautiful, I don't see myself using it that much. But I do think that people who like simple but radiant makeup would like this. :)

That's it for the review! What do you think of Etude House's Proof 10 Bling Eye Stick?

Cheers,
DAWN

  2. I love eyeshadow sticks, I've got some from Urban Decay and a friend got me some from kiko! They are very opaque and work amazing by themselves or as a base. I too don't like sheer shades!

  3. Hazzel - Thanks! Same thoughts. I think it will look nice on a mermaid/fairy inspired look!

Sharlynn - I'm starting to like those too. I have one in a brand called BeYu and I'm using it almost everyday!
