Summer is the time that I most often wear lipgloss. It's the season when I like to keep it light and fun instead of the glam or sharp looks. So for today, I'll share one of the glosses that I currently have in my kikay kit...

Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Bellini

This was given by my sister and it's only the deluxe size. The regular size is 75ml.

Info from the website: 

A high-shine gloss with a special mix of pearls in a clear base (for a super reflective effect).

This vitamin-enriched formula conditions lips while providing non-sticky, but long-lasting color.

How to Use: Apply to bare lips with wand or layer over lip color.

The deluxe size has a doe foot applicator. I love how cute it is. But even if it's small, it's still easy to use.

The website described Bellini as "a nude pink with pearl."

It gives my lips a shimmery gloss. The product info from the website accurately described it. I love that the glitters are fine and that it's a mix of purple, gold, and silver. I also like that it's non-sticky and non-greasy, although I don't find it long-lasting. 

I don't like wearing it alone because I look pale, but it looks great on top of lipstick. It can enhance any lippie with added shimmer and shine! Since mine is in deluxe size, it's a staple in my vanity kit so I can reapply anywhere I go.

Christmas Haul (2013) Part 2.5

Hello dears!

More Christmas shopping was done but for this post, the items are all bought by my sister, Tracy, for herself. :P So don't expect any reviews from me since I wouldn't be using them. Hehe. :) I'm just posting this as a price reference. :P

Shiseido Radiant Lifting Foundation in 080 Deep Ochre.

She actually bought this for her even though she already bought a Foundie from Bobbi Brown so that we can avail of their promo which was her Christmas gift for me. More on that on my next haul post soon. :P

She also bought this lipstick, Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in BE306.

Original price is Php 1250.00 but it was on sale and we got it for Php 937.50.

She actually bought this when she was still in Sydney on the way to the Philippines. Regular price of this in SY is $68 but she got this in Duty Free SY for only $54.

This pretty pouch is actually a brush set. She's been looking for  a small set she can carry while she travel.

It contains 7 brushes that are really soft and the set is very affordable for only Php

More brushes that's around Php 50-150 each.

I actually bought a necklace like this but my sis liked it too so she got one for herself - Php 339.75.

She also bought this foldable desk mirror - Php 179.75

It's very portable and looks chic!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush in Pink Coral

Hey, dear readers!

Been a rainy afternoon today. I like the rain. I just don't like it when I have things to do and they get cancelled because of it. Grrr...

So to make me feel better, I will make a swatch post and I guess a mini review of a product that I have been using quite a lot this past few days...

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush in Pink Coral

*Clap clap clap*

I bought this last month (if I remember correctly) from fellow blogger, Pammy, of J'adore Rougit.

When I saw that she was selling this, I googled it and fell in love with it!

It's peachypink!! Haha! It's a warm pink shade which I looooove and usually go for when I'm choosing a blush. ♥

Plus, it's Bobbi Brown! This is my first Bobbi Brown blush. I have been hearing so many positive reviews about their blushes that I just have to try it. Buying a brand new one is quite too much for me. I don't usually splurge my savings for blushes. The makeup I don't mind buying that's expensive are foundations since it is the 'foundation' of your makeup. Haha! And yeah... I have bad skin. :P

So on to the review:

When I opened the box, this is what I see:

 

 Very classy packaging and you can see the product as well. I like this kind of packaging since you don't have to open them one by one just to look what color they are... specially if you haven't memorized the shades yet. And I like that the packaging is not bulky so it can fit my kikay kit!

Silky formula glides on smoothly and evenly. Shades can be used individually or assembled into our palettes (sold separately). Apply on the apples of cheeks using the Blush Brush, blending up into the hairline, then downwards to soften. Finish with a pop of brighter blush, applied just on the apples of cheeks.

The shimmers are very fine. The blush is uber pigmented. I have to tap my brush so I won't put too much on my cheeks. The product isn't chalky at all.

I love it on me. I look healthy! It's sort of natural looking. :)

It's also long lasting! It lasts on me the whole day!

Since I'm so in-love with the product, I might try and save up to buy another blush from Bobbi Brown. I might try the blushes without the shimmer next. Not sure which shade yet though. :

What's Your Favorite Red Lipstick?

I'm recently a fan of red lipsticks. I used to avoid them since I'm not sure if i can pull it off because some makes your teeth look yellow, some will make your dark spots more visible, plus I love putting vibrant eyeshadows so having fierce red lipstick on would look too much. But having and knowing the right colors to put on can do the trick!

So here are the lipsticks I have right now:

 Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Italian Rose

This is the lipstick I use very often. It's more on the nude side so it's very safe. Whenever I use it, people often say I look "glowing." Plus, I love the packaging -- very classy. It doesn't make your lips chap but the staying power isn't as long as I would want it to.

Avon Simply Pretty Lipstick in Daring Red

 This one is a very dark red with a touch of maroon. I barely use it because it's too dark for me. :P It's very pigmented and it also doesn't make your lips chap.

 Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wine with Everything

 This is my favorite red lipstick. It's very -- RED! It also doesn't make my lips dry and I don't have to re-apply often.

 Beauty Treats Lipstick in Ruby Ruby

 This is the newest one in the bunch. It's color is almost red-orange. If I can give an award to my lipsticks, this will win the Best Package Design Award. Plus, I love it's rosy scent! For more infos on this lipstick, see my review here.

 Avon Ultra Moisture Rich 24K Gold Lipstick in K100 Golden Rose

This one is sheer and close to becoming pink. The gold pigments make it look metallic. Love the packaging as well!

Let's not forget my darling little lipglosses!

 I only have three but these trio performs really well!

 Smashbox Lipgloss in Stunning

It's long lasting. I love that it has this little sparkly glitters on it. Plus the scent smells... yummy! :P

 Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Rose

One of the first red lipglosses I bought. I wasn't a huge fan of it since it came in a set and I loved the other colors more. But it still looks good! :P

 Urban Decay Ultra Glide in Heat

 I love this! Has cute sparkly glitters too but this one is more visible compared to the Smashbox one. It also smells good! :)

Well, so far, these are all we've got. Might get more... If i get more cash that is. :P

UPDATE:
Around the year 2012, I became a HUGE fan of bold red lipsticks.
My favorite for a very long time is MAC's Ruby Woo, followed by Russian Red. :)
