My 2018 Althea Christmas Wishlist

Hello loves!

Christmas is just around the corner and you know what that means—Christmas Shopping Spree!!!

I'm actually guilty of shopping a bit early and mostly online because the Manila traffic is even more horrible during the Christmas season and I don't want to be stuck in traffic for hours. I'm just so thankful that many online stores are available for us to browse and buy what we like. And speaking with online stores, one of my most frequently visited one is Althea! I do love my Korean beauty products and I've been browsing their website first even before I became an Althea Angel.

And now, I just browsed Althea and have my eyes glued on some of their products. So for today's post, let me share with you my Althea Wishlist this Christmas.

LOTD: Melted Marshmallow

Hello everyone!

Sharing with you my Lipstick/s of the Day! :)

I love peachy pink shades (if it's not obvious enough on our website name). So most of my makeup is in that shade, especially my lipsticks. But even though I already have a number of peachy pink lipstick shades, I tend to mix and match some to get a specific shade. Here's one of my favorite mix:

And this is the result!

I apply the Ofra Liquid lipstick first and once it dries, I add the Laneige Lipstick.

I really like this combination. The peachy-ness of the the Laneige lippie gives warmth to the OFRA Liquid lipstick. It results to a soft, creamy, warm pink shade like a melted marshmallow! The liquid lippie also helps in prolonging the staying power of the lipstick so it can last almost the whole day! Yay!

So what do you think of this lippie look?

Cheers,

Liz's November - December Haul Post

Hello ladies,

It's been a while since I actually went out to shop for anything. Last year my life revolved around this routine: Hospital, Home, Hospital, Hospital, Home... and whenever I was at home, I preferred sleeping more than going out. When I finally graduated from hospital duties, it was board exams... so imagine my joy when I finally got to earn some money and spend it!

It's not that much of a splurge since I basically am spending my own hard earned money (cause it was mostly spent on food) instead of getting it from my parents. It felt quite liberating to do that. I know most of you have gone through it, but well, I want to immortalize this moment.

And so without further ado, here are my non-food/beverage purchases:

It's been near two years since I last went out wearing a good pair of wedge or heels and it was about time to buy new ones. Since I am walking most of the time to work, and I wouldn't want to wear flats 7 days a week, I decided to buy wedges. No stilettos for now as my stilettos are still good to go.

Super loved this blue wedge from UNLIMITED. They hardly feel like heels and are super comfortable to wear and walk around. I got them for a good sale price at SM Department Store.

Of course, I just had to buy something from Payless, especially when they have them on sale. I had to buy two because aside from the shoe's current discount, you get an additional 10% of if you buy two discounted shoes. So there... shoe splurge.

A workplace that's near Robinsons Ermita has its advantages, like having a Daiso shop near where you can shop all your necessities with the best deal.

But it also has its downs (kind of), like splurging on office supplies even though you know it's not really needed that much. :P

Still, perks outweigh the downsides. As you can see, whenever I run out of my necessary, HG, Laneige BB Cushion, there's always one near.

Plus the store assistant was very generous with the samples. I'm starting to feel like I'll be a regular in that stall. :)

Anyways, that's all for now. The next posts from me will hopefully be my long promised reviews from different products I have been using for the past months.

Cheers,
LIZ

Laneige Perfect Renew Essence EX

Good evening ladies,

Just one quick review of this product from Laneige.

Their Perfect Renew Essence is a light gel like cream. Has no fragrance and is readily absorbed by the skin.

The lotion is quite hydrating and really gives your face that firming lift afterwards, though not visibly... it just feels like it.

Anyway, I've only used it like twice since I only have the sample. I'm not too keen on buying the full size version as I have no money. :(

Anyway, that's it for this really short review. Ever had the full sized version of this one?

Cheers,
LIZ

Laneige Pore Tight Essence

Good evening ladies,

The past few months have been a really bad month for my skin. I'm badly in need of skin care and most of my stuff are running out. So after a year, I'm finally able to try this one out.

Since this is only a sample size, this review will be quite short. The product's quite light and leaves a thin smooth film and like the products in this collection, they have a little cooling effect on the face when it's applied. The pore minimizing effect is noticeable from the moment you apply the product on. Also it's quite good that I have not had any break outs after using the products.

The scent is also really enticing. I really wish I had the full size though to give a more thorough review... but well, money is a little hard to come by especially during the holidays. So I hope this short sharing of mine has helped you a little to consider this product.

Well, that's it.

Cheers,
LIZ

Laneige Snow Crystal Intense Lipstick in Orange Bloom

Hello loves!

Here's a swatch post of one of the lipsticks that make me feel simply pretty when I wear it...

Laneige Snow Crystal Intense Lipstick

The shade I got is YR28 or Orange Bloom.

I bought it for around Php 500.00 since it was on sale. 50% discount, baby!!! Yayyy!

Ingredients below:

The packaging is gorgeous! The bottom area looks pretty! It fits the name of the lippie since it looks like a crystal. The gradient effect adds a classy look to the tube packaging too.

Look at that beauty! I love PEACH! That's why I'm the "Peachy" part of the name of the blog.
Swatch on paper

Swatch on arm

On my lips

The shade is lovely—simple and beautiful. I like that it looks great on my warm-toned skin. I just don't like that it's not long-lasting and it's too creamy that some of the lipstick gets stuck on the lines on my lips. So it's very advisable that you get your lips exfoliated and very moisturized when you use this. If it weren't for the shade and the packaging, I would probably be disappointed with this since your lips should be in perfect condition before you apply it. Plus, it can be quite expensive... good thing I got it in a huge discount.

So what do you think of Laneige Snow Crystal Intense Lipstick in Orange Bloom?
Do you like this kind of shades too?

Early June Haul

 Hey dears!

This week is a very expensive week for me. I was lemming for new makeup and I just went on a shopping spree without even thinking of how much money I have been spending! Haha! But I have no regrets since everything I bought are quite promising.

Here are my new babies:

The much-talked-about Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder
I've always wanted to try this out! Bought it from my dear friend, Erika.

Laneige Snow Crystal Intense Lipstick in Orange Bloom
Bought this at 50% off! It was only Php 525.00! :)

Got the biggest tub of Strip It! Hair Removal Sugaring.
I've been a fan since the first time I tried it! This is worth Php 355.00 at Sesou.

A Zen Nutrients Haul! I'm trying to go organic to be kinder to my skin for a change.
Aloe Vera Shampoo - Php 225.00
Underarm Whitening Cream - Php 225.00
Strawberry Lip Scrub - Php 225.00

Also did some shopping at Saizen!
Had to buy some necessities. Haha!

And finally, I bought some preloved makeup from Hollie. These are just so adorable! :)

I'll post reviews and swatch posts on these sometime soon!
Just comment below which ones you want me to do first. :)

And oh! Liz and I also bought some more today during our little trip to SM MoA. Will post about it tomorrow! ;)

Laneige Cool Stay Powder in Light Beige

Hi guys!

Here's a perfect summer product from Laneige!

Why do I say so? Because it has a cooling effect when you apply it! Neat, right??

Laneige Cool Stay Powder in Light Beige

I have it in Light Beige but it is available in another shade - Dark Beige.
Life span is 12 months! :)

The product is Php 1,600 (Yikes! So expensive). But I got this when it was on sale some months back. I got it for half it's original price. :P

Here's the list of ingredients.

And below are more info on the product...

I'm glad that they have the instructions in english as well. Most of the Korean products I've tried usually do not include english instructions. :P

I made the mistake of taking off the whole sticker so it does get messy when you carry around the product or even if you just accidentally drop it. :P

Anyway, it is cased in this clean looking tub.
It can be sealed tightly so you're assured that it won't spill out the powder.

It also includes this super amazing puff!
Probably one of the best in terms of quality. It's just so weird that it doesn't fit the container. That means I had to place it somewhere else. I also have difficulty getting the product from the container since the puff is too big.

So here's the product on my arm:

It's very fine and you instantly feel the cooling sensation. I was so amazed the first time I tried it.

When blended.

It has a light coverage, barely noticeable on me so I usually top it on my foundation. And oh! It helps cover pores! It has a matte finish and it really does help control oil on my face. So perfect for this summer! :)

Have you tried this Cool Stay Powder from Laneige?
Do you know a product similar to this?

Cheers!

Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream

Good evening ladies,

It's been quite a hectic month ender for me since we celebrated my parents' silver wedding anniversary last January 30. However, I was able to use all the other products I've been thinking of using for review purposes. First up, Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream.

Much like any water-based moisturizer, this is quite non-greasy and dries up really quickly. The finish feels a little silky and smooth.

Since I have combination skin which is sometimes in extremes (really dry in some areas, then really oily in some areas especially in the t-zone), water gel cream aren't ones I'd like to use for my everyday moisture routine. However, I do like using this as my moisturizer for when I use foundations that do not have any moisturizing property in it. Or on days that I get lazy and decide not to put any base make up on and simply put pigmented powder on my face.

It helps hydrate my face for the rest of the day without getting oily. This pretty much is the only thing I like about this product and generally with all water based moisturizer. To be fair, I haven't used a lot of water based moisturizer so I can't really make a thorough assessment and this is only the trial sachet.

So that's it for my mini review of this product. If you've used it before do share your experience.

Cheers,
LIZ

Haul Post: Snoe, Laneige, Laura Mercier, Dorothy Perkins, Maldita

Hello Beauties!

I'm soooo overwhelmed this past 3 days about the new items I got - and most were bought with money that is not mine (I love you, Mommy)!
I blame (or thank) the Year End Sale of malls wherein most stores have items discounted up to 70% off!

So here are the bunch of items you'll be seeing in future reviews :

My Snoe Haul
Bought last Sunday at Landmark, Trinoma

Snoe Shoo-Zit Spray Me From Behind Body Acne Spray

Snoe Shoo-Zit Don't Bother Me Spot On Spot Off Daily Maintenance Acne Fading Gel

Snoe Sunblock Instant White SPF 45 Sun Lotion

Snoe S Skin Quench & Protect, Conceal & Correct BB Cream

And I also bought two more items at Landmark during that day:

Human Nature 100% Natural Moisturizing Night Cream

and this Fabulouz Gems Keratin Hot Oil (It's buy 1, take 1)

And the next day, I went shopping with my Mom and bought these:

Laneige Cool Stay Powder
Got this for 50% off! Promo is valid til supplies last! :D
They also gave me free sachets of their Water Sleeping Pack and Water Bank Essence.

And also some items from Maldita

A cute bubble dress and a maxi skirt! Both 50% off!

And for today, my mom, sis and I went to Rockwell.

Laura Mercier The Flawless Face Book Portable Complexion Palette in Tan
This is actually my sis but I just wanted to include this in the post. It's just so cool!
It has all you need to get that flawless face!! My sis also bought loads of swim wear for our Cebu/Bohol Trip which is in a few days.

A Styli-Style Timeless Lipstick in Fuschia
Got this for around Php320. It was at 45% off!

Dresses from Dorothy Perkins
The purple one was discounted by 30% and the other one was 50% off!

and finally, I have to buy at least one item to satisfy my art cravings:
A Monologue A4 Sketch Pad
This is soooo nice to sketch on! It reminds me of those super expensive Moleskin sketch pads but this one is only Php499.00. Steal!

Well, that's everything!
So overwhelmed and so happy with all of these items. I love each and every item bought. <3 font="font">

Just comment which of these would you like me to feature soon!

Cheers!
