Review: E.L.F. Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

 Hi folks!

Here's a review of one of the things we bought because of the sickness that almost every beauty enthusiast has -- impulse buying.
The product is cheap so it was easy for us to do a purchase.

So here's a little something about the product:

E.L.F. Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

What the product says:

 Ingredients:

Both the concealer and highlighter have doe foot applicators

The consistency of both concealer and highlighter are creamy.
They can be easily spread and they dry fast and are not sticky.

My under eyes without the concealer and with concealer

The product is a bit lighter for me but it really concealed the dark areas under my eyes. It's also matte and I didn't experience any creasing.

and in this picture I applied the highlighter above my cheekbones. Just a few mm below my eyes (eye bags actually, haha). I barely see any difference. And personally, I prefer powder highlighters.
I also tried it as an eyeshadow base but I still experienced some creasing from my eye shadows. I will stick with eye primers I've used like UDPP and Etude House Proof 10.

What I like about it:
  • Conceals the dark areas under my eyes
  • Very light on the skin
  • Non-sticky
  • Matte finish
  • No creasing or caking
  • Inexpensive - Php295
  • Locally Available
  • Has Vitamins A and E, etc.

What I don't like about it:

  • I don't really see much effect from the highlighter

That's it! So will I buy it again? No. I don't find it necessary. We just wanted to try it out. We don't have much to complain about it but we don't love it that much either.

  11. Hi Dawn!

Since I have Bombay-blood, my eyebags is very prominent which I think, is but natural with being a "bumbay".

Is there any concealer that will at least help me hide my eyebags even a little bit? Btw, I am already 40 y/o :)

Thanks and looking forward to your suggestion/s :)

  12. Kumiko Mae- aww... sorry to hear that it wasn't effective for you. Oh well... there are loads of others you can try out anyway. :)

Criselda - For dark under eyes, a makeup artist we talked to before recommended a concealer with an orange tone. If you're willing to spend, try one from MakeUp For Ever. But if you're in a tight budget, try Ever Bilena Mousse concealer. But I honestly haven't tried it on someone with darker under eyes. :)
