December (2018) to January (2019) Haul

Hey dolls! 

I'm so proud to say that I successfully stopped myself from buying anything for the past month. I did some major shopping during December and January because of all the Christmas and end of season sales. I just couldn't help myself because I love getting good deals. And I really like everything I got. 

So let me share the items I bought. If you see anything you're curious about and want a review, comment them below!

First off are my Althea Korea purchases. Althea, hands down, gave us super great deals during the holidays and I ordered not just once, not twice, but three times!!! 

January (2018) Haul

Hey loves!

Sooo... I was honestly trying to save money for travels that I have lined up for 2018. Unfortunately, I miserably failed this first month of the year because I splurged on new things. Splurged. Haha! I blame the new year sales and the clearance/end of season sales that I bought more things than I initially planned. Ugh. BUT I do love everything I bought... it's just that I bought too much of the same thing/s. In short, most are excess. lol

Anyway, here are the items I bought:

January 2015 Haul

Hey dears!

It's already February. I have a feeling that 2015 will fly by so fast... I do hope that the year would be memorable for me still. I wish I could go out of the country and see unique sights and learn other cultures. I'm hoping that our plans to go to some areas around Asia would push through... Anyway, enough with the dreaming. I'll share with you a number of items I bought last January. These are just a few and if you're looking for new beauty finds, sadly, I didn't get any interesting... well, at least for me. 

So... here are my new stuff. First, some items from Landmark Beauty Section... I've tossed the receipt, unfortunately, and I wasn't able to keep track of the prices. :(

Synthetic Makeup Brushes

I believe the Kabuki brush is around P299 and the powder is P199. Correct me if I remembered wrong please.

Foot brush with pumice stone

I do my own foot spa sessions at home when I need to save money. :P

Nail art dotters

Because I also want to save money when it comes to my nails. I still want my nails to look cute and I guess I can do nail art neatly anyway so why not do my own?

And the rest are bought from different stores...

A pair of Nine West Wedge Shoes

This is preloved and bought this only for P500.00. :) I wear wedges for comfort. Being on the heavy side and having small feet make wearing heels a torture so wedges are my go-to shoes if I want to be a few inches taller.

Cotton On lengthy red cardigan

Bought this for P800 and it was 50% off.

The Face Shop Phytogenic Infinite Makeup Base - P347.50

The Face Shop Diamond Shine Lip Gloss in PK102 - P197.50

I bought this in huge discounts, probably around 50-70% off. I got this at Multi Brand, UP Town Center, a shop where different brands put some of their items on huge discounts. I'm guessing these items are out-of-season, old stocks, or those that will be phased out soon.

And finally, some clothes from Dorothy Perkins. I also lost the receipt so I'll just give an estimate on how much they were bought.

Unboxing : January-February Saladbox

Hey everyone.

So yesterday I received a box from Saladbox.

One word that came into my mind was: FINALLY.

I don't want to say much about this box because there isn't really much to say... but I just have to rant on things regarding Saladbox.

I signed up for a 3-month plan last September, 2013. I expected to get a box on October so when I contacted them by the end of that month, I was informed that my schedule was from November to January. I didn't mind. Back then. I just thought that maybe the October boxes were already sold out or maybe I paid too late for an October box. 

But November has passed and still no box. I tried to be patient and waited 'til the half of December to ask again. I was informed that I will get my first box by last week of December. I was sort of pissed off but eventually, I didn't mind. I was enjoying the huge discounts during the holidays so I got pretty cool new things that got me occupied.

But here comes January. Still no box. I'm getting impatient. 

I was contacted by someone from Saladbox to ask if I got any of the boxes. I was informed that they are having some troubles with their new courier and some of the boxes were misplaced/lost including mine. I wasn't surprised. This happened before too with one of my previous Saladboxes. They gave me an option of waiting 'til they gather the samples for the November, December, and January boxes from their featured brands or just move my subscription months and get February to April boxes and they'll give me a January box for free. I decided to go for the latter option because I'm really, REALLY tired of waiting.

So yesterday was the day my first box for 2014 FINALLY arrived.

I'm not so sure how the supposed "free" January box would work out since this box covers the January and February months. I will have to get back to them regarding this.

So as usual, I'll just post the items inside the box:

Talk about overpriced nail art stuff! I was wowed by the prices of these! You can get something like this at Landmark for less than Php 30.00 and even less if you go to Divisoria. I do not understand how this should be priced as such considering the package design looks crappy. Sorry if I seem like a hater already even if I haven't tried them, but I just find it ridiculous. And what's annoying is that I got two of them when I know that I won't be using them much.

Missha Cotton Sheet Mask - Php 150.00

I do like Missha Masks so I like that this is included in this box.

Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 1% BHA Gel sachet (regular size-Php1,120)

Paula's Choice Resist Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum (regular size- Php 1,420)

I've been wanting to try skincare products from Paula's Choice for a long while now. Glad this is included as well. 

And that's that. YES. THAT IS ALL!

I'm annoyed. This is what I waited for four months? Overpriced nail products that I wouldn't even use and two sachets of skincare and a mask? I'm sorry but this box sucks. Probably the worst of all the boxes I've received. If I didn't want to try the Paula's Choice products, I would have just given the box away. :|

I really wanted Saladbox to get better. I honestly do. It's the first subscription box I subscribed to and I just have this thing where I try to cheer for the underdog (Glamourbox and BDJ Box are performing tons better than Saladbox in my opinion). But the experience I had with them during the last several months was bad. Really bad. I think after this subscription period, I will not be buying anymore boxes until I see a much, much, MUCH better Saladbox in the future.

Unboxing : Jan-Feb BDJ Box

Hello dears!

I'm super enjoying the long weekend. Been hanging out with friends, oversleeping, shopping and my first ever BDJ Box arrived a couple of days ago and I've been using some of the items inside already.

It took me only now to get a BDJ Box because they're always out of stock whenever I felt like ordering. Actually, I ordered this around September or October. The boxes for November and December were out of stock already so that's why I was subscribed for the January-February box. I guess people really love BDJ Box... I often see unboxing posts and BDJ boxes almost always contain interesting products that I would love to try myself.

And so, let's open the box and see the goodies!

Honestly, I don't see the point of getting two bars. I thought this is a way to try out products so one full-size is enough. Besides, I've been using this soap for months now... probably why I wasn't so cheery when I saw this. :P But just so we're clear, I do love this soap! 

 Avon Face Pearls - Php 599.00

Another full-sized product! I guess this is Avon's version of the popular Guerlain Meteorites. 

 Revlon Nair Art Expressionist in Monet, Monet - Php 375.00

Oooh! It's named after one of the most popular painters of all time. The wannabe artist in me is happy. :D

 Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Mascara - Php 650.00

Got a deluxe size version. I'm excited to try this the most. :D

 Ellana Minerals Lip and Cheek Tint - Php 220.00

Not a fan of tints but this seems interesting. I swatched it on my arm and it lasted the whole day on! Amazing lasting power!

I'm very satisfied with the products I got especially since more than half of them are in their full sizes! For the amount I paid, I got a really good deal. There are products that I didn't appreciate as much since I've tried them already but I think I'll be using everything that's included in the box for sure. I'm happy with my first ever BDJ Box and I'll be buying another one soon!

My January Salad Box

Hey guys!

My January The Salad Box arrived 2 days ago!

And if you have read my last month's Salad Box post, I was disappointed with The Salad Box's performance if you compare it with other boxes. 

But I am somehow relieved that this month's box is wayyyy better than last month's.
