Dazzle Me Brow-Buddy 3 in 1 Eyebrow Review

Hey loves!

I'm pretty sure many of you agree that 'kilay is life.' Brows can really make your whole face look good. I remember I watched a segment of The Ellen Degeneres show and the guest was actor Jeremy Renner. He was surprisingly a professional makeup artist before making it big in Hollywood and he said that it is important to frame the face by highlighting three areas—the brows, lashes, and lips. After seeing that segment, I find that he does have a point and I try my best to at least even out my brows (mine have some areas that need filling). It really makes or breaks the look!

I'm always on the lookout for good brow products. I have thick brow hairs on the inner half and not so much on the outer half so it's important that I get a brow product that fills to help even the brows out.

So a few months ago, I was able to get my hands on these brow products from Dazzle Me:

Review : The Project Vanity x Ellana Life-Proof Eyebrow Gel

Hello loves!

The phrase "Kilay is life" easily became popular to every beauty enthusiast in the country. Come to think of it, just a bit over a decade ago, I was only one of the few people in our college batch that wears makeup in class. But now, I see more young people who wear makeup even in school (I currently work in a university so I see students everyday). So I think it is safe to say that the beauty market grew exponentially and more and more Filipinos look for better quality products that fit their budget, which resulted to more beauty brands stepping up their game to meet these demands! It's such a good time to love beauty products!

In this light, two of my trusted local beauty brands did just that—they created a product that I'm sure many makeup enthusiast would absolutely love. I got so excited when I heard about this for the first time. It's a collaboration between Project Vanity and Ellana Mineral Cosmetics. If you love makeup and it just so happens that you also live under a rock and unaware what Project Vanity is, it's one of the leading blogs in the Philippines that writes about beauty. Ellana Mineral Cosmetics, on the other hand, is, hands down, my favorite mineral makeup brand since 2014. So as much as I just raved about these brands, I assure you that this review is not biased at all, but it did made me have very high expectations about this new product...

RiRe Luxe Gel Tattoo in Grey Brown

Hey dolls!

There was a hype a few months ago on eyebrow gel tattoos. I didn't get one until the hype sort of died down a bit. I don't usually buy items just because it is popular, I buy them because I'm interested in them (or in some cases, they are hugely discounted—so what the heck, right?). Well, I bought an eyebrow gel tattoo because it is hugely discounted at the Althea website. Haha!

RiRe Luxe Gel Tattoo in Grey Brown
From PhP 760.00, it was down to PhP 320.00.

I bought the shade Grey Brown because I have dark hair right now. The other shade is Light Brown.

See below the details on the box:

I appreciate the English translation included in the packaging. For further product info, I recommend visiting Althea's website.

To sum up all the claims regarding the RiRe Luxe Gel Tattoo, it promises to:

- Enhance your brows (will stay on skin so you look good even with "bare" skin)
- It's long-lasting (can last up to 7 days)
- moisturize and nourish the skin

The product is housed in a tube that looks just like the usual mascara tubes. There's barely any design except the labels. The simplicity is pretty okay for me. I do like that the color of the tube is the shade color as well.

The applicator is a brush that's a bit flat. I like that because it makes applying at the corners easier because you can create thinner lines.

Here's a swatch:
It dries like something that's plastic. This swatch is a bit thin and I realized that peeling it off is easier if you apply a thicker amount.

When peeled-off, you do get a grey-brown shade. I dunno if it's the lighting that it looks a bit greenish in this swatch, but you get a better look on the swatch on my brows below.

Here's my brow. I have dark brow hair. You might see a hint of brown there from my previous application from days before.

Here's how it looks when I apply it.

Make sure you apply it on clean skin. I recommend that you apply it after cleansing so there's no sebum build up around the area you apply it. I have oily skin so it only takes a few hours before I get shiny.

After more than an hour, I peeled it off. The instruction in Althea's website even recommended waiting for two hours.

And this is how it looks when you completely peel the product off.

I do like how it turned out! It's pretty cool actually. It doesn't look harsh because of the absence of lines. I just apply a brow mascara and I'm ready to go!

After a day at work (I applied the night before) and removing makeup, here's how it looks like.

I like that it's still there and I think that it got too light already. I think my oily skin and my makeup remover probably contributed to the fading. With this case in mind, I think I'll have to reapply again because the faded version doesn't sit well on my eyes. So the promise that it can stay up to 7 days, I doubt it can on my skin considering how much it faded after a day. Maybe I can do some retouch with a regular brow pencil but that's pretty much like applying a brow product all over again. I do appreciate that it holds up for the entire day and you can even swim with it and your brows still look "on-fleek."

But yeah, it still fades so having the perfect brows 24/7 for days is still not there for me yet. I still like this product and if you're looking for a brow tattoo you can try and that's also affordable, I recommend you try the RiRe Luxe Gel Tattoo!

Review : Snoe What's Up Brow! Water Resistant Eyebrow Gel Corrector

Hello lovelies!

Eyebrows can make or break one's face so finding the right brow shape and keeping them clean and neat is always important. It's also important to find the perfect "buddy" to help shape your brows and fill-in gaps if there are any.

I've used various forms of eyebrow makeup. From brow pencils and brow gels, to powder shadows and liquid forms. I can't say which one is the best. It probably varies from each person on what works well on them. Some may find pencils easier because they are faster to apply. Some may think powder forms look more natural. It all comes down to the person in my opinion.

For me, I have oily skin and I also have full bangs so my brow makeup gets ruined if I use products that smudge easily. So I was leaning on buying this waterproof brow product from Make Up For Ever. My sister has one and it is very long lasting.

But luckily, I found a more affordable version from Snoe before splurging my savings on a MUFE!

Snoe What's Up Brow! Water Resistant Eyebrow Gel Corrector
This is Php 899.00. Still a bit expensive for a small product but you won't think it is if you compare it to MUFE's! :P

So let's check the packaging first.

I've been a fan of Snoe packaging. They make locally made products look really good! Comparable to products abroad. Good job, Snoe!
The important info like manufacturing dates, ingredients and precautionary advices are labeled on the box. You can also check them out on their website.

What I love about this set is that it came with applicators.
The brushes are very useful and soft. The slanted brush for filling-in the gaps and the thin one to do those feathery strokes that look like hair.

The Snoe What's Up Brow! Water Resistant Eyebrow Gel Corrector is available in two shades—Ochre and Khaki. My sister and I bought both! :D

Swatch on my hand
Left: Ochre
Right: Khaki

When spread-out

I bought the Ochre one, the darker shade, because I have very annoying, thick brow hair.

Here's what it looks like on my brows:
Bare brow

With the product

My sister, on the other hand, has thinner brow hair and a lighter shade of hair so Khaki suits her more.

And here's how Khaki performs on my sister's brow:
Bare brow

with the gel corrector in Khaki

Be careful in application because if you put too much on the brush, your brows will look too dark and fake. Just start with little strokes 'til you get the hang of it. Just follow the instructions labeled on the box and you can achieve better looking set of brows.

Is it water resistant? Yes. No need to worry if you're sweating from the hot sun or if it's drizzling out. Does it stay on my oily skin? Yes it does. Really impressed with its good, no, GREAT staying power!

So let's make things short and clear.

What I LIKE:

- With good application techniques, the brows look clean and natural
- Very good staying power and it's water resistant
- Locally available
- Comes with two good brushes
- Packaging

What I am NEUTRAL about:

- The price. It looks expensive but it's actually like a dupe of an even more expensive product.

What I DON'T LIKE:

- May take some practice to get the brows look more natural
(but it is sooo worth it)
 - Only available in 2 shades. My sister and I both agreed that the perfect shade for me is actually a mixture of the two shades.

So would I buy again?
Yes. A very easy yes for me.

And that's my review on the Snoe What's Up Brow! Water Resistant Eyebrow Gel Corrector. What do you think of this review? Have you tried the one from MUFE or from other brands?
