Yves Saint Laurent Pure Chromatics Wet & Dry Eye Shadows in No. 7

Hey gorgeous!

It's my birthday!!! I have many things planned for today so I'm just gonna leave a quick blog post. :)

Since this is a special day for me, I'll post about a special item as well. I'm very in-love with this eyeshadow palette. It just looks so... magical when applied on the lids. :D

Yves Saint Laurent Pure Chromatics Wet & Dry Eye Shadows in No. 7
Bought this when I was in the US for a vacation.

I just love how elegant YSL packagings are. The shape is so simple but the super shiny gold, plus that beautiful engraved logo in a rich Scarlet (or is this Carmine) shade of red, make all the difference.

At the packaging, you'll see some product info and some makeup tips on how to use the applicators and eyeshadows.

Here are additional info from the website:

Through the magic of water and a revolutionary new process, Yves Saint Laurent pushes the limits of color with PURE CHROMATICS, a new generation of eye shadows. Real makeup artist magic is made easy with emblematic harmonies that captivate the eyes.

THE POWER OF WATER
New water-process technology, exclusive to YSL,  is the latest discovery in color for pigments more intense and dramatic than ever before!

USE WET FOR A CHROMATIC TRANSFORMATION
Expect the unexpected. Water enhances color pigments in PURE CHROMATICS. When used wet, the water activates the pigments and gives full intensity to their color. The effect is the satiny powder transforms into a luxurious cream while pearls shine with a metallic finish.

It comes with two applicators.

The ones with bigger foams are ideal for dry application while the smaller one is for wet application.

The soft glitters remind me of something magical. It's like a makeup for the elves and fairies!

Below are pictures on how I wear the eyeshadow.

The ones above are in dry application.

While the one below is when I use wet application:
I guess whether dry or wet, I get the same output. LOL
I like my colors very bold. I think the eyeshadow primer (from Too Faced) made the colors vibrant even when I applied it dry.

And here are some FOTD shots to see my whole makeup look:

And that's all! Gonna get ready for a whole day of me time! Yayyy!
Enjoy your day as well, guys! :D

Cheers,
DAWN

  3. The colors are totally gorgeous! But I wish they were more pigmented! Although I've been loving sheer colors, they are super easy to work with. Happy birthday!

  5. Birthday girl! Food trip tayo :P Also, this palette doesn't look like something I would wear but once worn, it's a fun, unexpected, yet dainty look. I can't decide if I like the dry or wet application look!
