I've seen the brand many times whenever I visit several Beauty Bar branches and I've noticed that they have products that ranges from anti-acne facial care to whitening products for the face and body, and let's not forget the popular underarm kit, and so much more. But what exactly is One Earth Organics?

Review : Canmake Blessed Natural Foundation

About ten years ago, I remember how important a powder foundation is in my makeup application. I usually wear a liquid foundation then top it off with a powder foundation. That's like double coverage. It made my face look flawless, but my foundation looked thick. As I learned more about makeup and skincare, I lessened the amount of makeup I put on and find which ones would make my skin look better but still have a natural finish.

Now I still go for liquids just because they have thicker coverage and more natural finish and then set it with transparent powder. However, I still have at least one powder foundation that I carry for retouching. The one I'm currently using is...

It's available in two shades—01 Light and 02 Natural. I have the shade Natural.

It cased in a compact with mirror. When you open it, you see the powder, and there's a second layer where you'll see the sponge applicator.

I like this kind of packaging because it's more hygienic. I also like the simple design. It's a bit more bulky than those without extra compartments, but it still doesn't take up much space in my bag and it's not heavy at all since the compact is only plastic.

The reason I bought this product is when I swatched it, it felt so soft and smooth. The shade Natural is also close to my skin shade.

Here's the swatch. It looks powdery here but it's not that powdery. I guess it's because I swatched it heavily. Anyway, check out the before and after photos below to see how it works on my face.

The first thing that I noticed is how awesome the coverage is. You can go from medium to heavy depending on how much you apply. I actually like the matte finish BUT I have to make sure to contour and highlight to give depth to my face, or else it will give the skin a flat finish. The shade is more yellow and maybe a shade lighter but once it sets, it blends to my skin and looks pretty natural. I have an oily skin so it adheres to my skin pretty good. It can last the whole day when used alone (no other foundations or BB Cream) when I'm in the office!

It's a pretty good product. I like it. It's affordable, easy to carry, and works well in giving my skin a flawless look. Pair it with a primer that lessens the appearance of pores and you'll get that beautiful skin finish!

To summarize:

What I LIKE:
- Great coverage (medium-heavy)
- Warm tones for my warm skin
- Packaging has mirror and double compartment
- Matte finish and lightweight
- Decent lasting power
- Locally available
- Affordable at PhP 770.00
- Has SPF25 and PA++
- No irritations
- No breakouts
- Can be used with a brush (for sheerer coverage) and also wet sponge (heavy coverage)

What I'm NEUTRAL about:
- No oil control. It doesn't claim that it does so it's not really an issue. I just appreciate products that help control the shine.

What I DON'T LIKE:
- Only available in two shades

Would I buy again? I probably will... it's just that I wanna try more first! It's still something I would recommend.

Deborah Milano: Perfect & Natural Perfecting Foundation Natural Look in 03

Good evening ladies,

Today I will share with you my second favorite everyday foundation. As you might now (or if you don't), I'm not a big fan of foundations and for everyday I prefer using BB cream with Laneige's BB cushion as my HG.

However, Helen of luckycitrine, had encouraged me to "try lang ng try" other foundations because I'll never know if I like something if I never try it out. So I decided to try this perfecting foundation from Deborah Milano.

This foundations swears to be free of silicone, mineral oil, parabens and acrylates. As you can see from the label, the oils are of vegetable origin.

The product has a consistency that is very smooth and feels quite hydrating but not oily. It smells fantastic and feels very light on the skin. 

It spreads easily and is absorbed quite well. There are no yellow tones in this foundation but I find that although it looks quite white/gray it sort of blends a little to my color.

As you can see from the above photo, it does even out the coloring of my skin but it makes me paler than I really am. Though I think, it doesn't look as obvious as with other products.

It has light to medium coverage. If you notice in the picture above, there are still traces of my pimple marks. I prefer applying it with my fingers since I feel like beauty blenders or sponges will sip up more product into them.

Above is a picture of my bare face and below is after covering with the foundation and some bronzer.

 A little goes a long way with this product. It easy to blend and not cakey.

It does not have a dewy finish, so for someone like me with combination skin (but more on the dry side) I don't really need to powder a lot. Though I believe people with oily skin might need to set it with powder.

Here's my face after 5 hours, and although I'm starting to oil up, as you can see my foundation is sitting pretty evenly still. No clumping or creasing can be seen and the coverage is still there.

Here is me at the end of the day after 10+ hours and as you can see, some of my foundation has already faded but, still no creasing.

This product costs Php 649.00 in the country which to some might consider expensive given it's performance. To me, it's mid range since my HG costs twice than this.

I recommend this product for people that would also prefer light make-up or no make-up make-up looks. It does nothing for your pores as well. You can use it with any of your primers as it binds well with them. I've tried it with the Pore-fessional and Insta-blur and it performs quite well with them too.

It already has three of my favorite things in make-up products which is: tube packaging, SPF, and light on the skin so I'd be sure to grab another one next time.

The bottle was sent to me a few months back. :)

The brand was actually new to me, but I felt happy to know about it because it means that more Proudly Pinoy brands are available in the market, and it's all-natural too! So what is Messy Bessy anyway? Here's what I've seen on their website:

The scent I have is Kiwi and this smells really, really good. I like my bath products smelling really good. I'm not into fruity, especially citrusy scents, though but this Kiwi one is just so addicting for me! If you have a chance to smell this, go ahead and see (smell?) for yourself how awesome the scent is!

I looked at their website for product info so we can get to know more about it.
I'm not sure if this one is the same as their Hand and Body Wash because I can't find their Hydrating Body Wash on the website. But I figured that both are body washes so I assumed that their qualities are pretty similar and I just posted the info here so we can have some idea what Messy Bessy Body Washes can do. Here's what the website says about their Hand and Body Wash:

"You deserve nothing more than the purest liquid soap you can find – free of sulfate, parabens, colorant & toxins that can work its way through your skin and into your body. Available in 4 yummy scents: Aloe & Green Tea, Kiwi Lemon, Ocean Rain, Vanilla Orange.

The product is a bit runny and it's clear. It foams up pretty well and you instantly smell the sweet fragrance easily. The scent lingers for a few minutes (maybe 'til 15-30 minutes if you're not under the sun and sweating) after bath. I just love using this because I smell SO GOOD.

What I love more is that it's all natural! We all know that it's important to take care of the skin. It is it the biggest organ of our body that functions as our protection from our environment. What we put on our skin also gets absorbed into our body, so knowing that Messy Bessy is all natural, I feel like it's safer than other commercial brands. I did not encounter irritation nor allergies from this product... so yay!

Heroine Make Mineral BB Loose Powder

Hey loves!

It was around last year that I became a fan of mineral makeup. I used to avoid them because the ones that I have used before were not able to conceal my skin problems such as pimples and acne scars. Plus, I think that they make my skin oilier than usual.

Anyway, since a brand made me change all those negative thoughts regarding mineral makeup, I became open to try out other mineral products from other brands. And that is why I bought this particular one...

Heroine Make Mineral BB Loose Powder

Bought this for Php 695.00.

I bought the shade 02 Natural. It is also available in 01 Light.

I bought this because I use loose powder on top of my foundation or BB Cream to prolong my makeup as well as for oil control. While I was browsing at Heroine Make's counter during their launch last year, I saw this product and tried the tester. The powder was silky soft and I love that it has a warm tone. I got excited and I was sure that I will buy myself one when I need a new loose powder.

And after some months, I finally bought one! Yay!

If you see the labels at the back of the packaging which I posted above, you'll see that it promises to do the things I want my loose powder to do which is to prolong my makeup and control shine. But this powder adds more good stuff because it has SPF25 and has coverage! Yay!

It's housed in this cute, pink jar and includes a soft puff applicator.

I don't use the puff much because I prefer using my powder brushes for application. It's still very soft though and I still keep it as a stopper or to block the holes so that the jar won't get messy when I don't use it.

I've mentioned how soft and silky smooth this powder is when I first swatched it last year... and it still is! Check out the swatch below:

Love the color and the coverage. It's pretty close to my face's skin color.

And when blended, you can see that it does have coverage and yet it feels very light! I like that it doesn't sink in the lines of my skin and it doesn't appear cakey. And I like that it makes my skin matte but not flat... it still has a very light dewy/glowing finish.

Here's a pic of me with BB Cream and this Mineral BB Loose Powder on top. My BB cream was slightly lighter than my skin but this powder evened it out to match my skin tone. I love that it looks natural and fresh and somehow concealed some of my enlarged pores. My makeup can last the whole day and the oil control this gives is pretty decent, I just blot after 4-5 hours. It's really a good finishing powder!

Overall, this is a good product! I find the price pretty reasonable since it works nicely. I never encountered any breakouts nor irritations when I use this so I guess I have no bad experience with this one. I recommend you try it out!

Review : Heroine Make Lasting Mineral BB Cream in #02 Natural

It's BB Cream review time again!

The one I'll be sharing for tonight is from a Japanese beauty brand that I've only discovered this year. It's the first BB Cream I've tried from the brand and I got this from their launch last August...

Heroine Make Lasting Mineral BB Cream in #02 Natural

This BB Cream can be bought for Php 595.00.

Below is a photo of the labels on the packaging.

Love the 8-in-1 functions they claim. This made me more excited to try it. I have oily skin and enlarged pores and I also have dark spots I need to cover. Plus, it has SPF 34 and PA++ to help us block the harmful rays of the sun so reading that made me want to try it out sooner. 

The packaging is a very simple pink tube that houses 30g product.

It's easy to squeeze out the product and what I also like about tubes like this is that when you're almost finish with the BB Cream, you can cut it and scoop the remaining cream that you can't squeeze out anymore.

Now, for the exciting part...

Here's the product on my hand.

It has a beautiful warm tone that suits my warm complexion.

It's creamy but still light on skin. It is mildy scented, almost unnoticeable.

When blended

It gives a semi-matte finish and it's very easy to blend on skin.

This BB comes in 2 shades. The #01 shade is lighter while this shade, #02 is still slightly lighter than my skin tone. I guess it's a usual downside to BB Creams that they offer so little shade selections. My skin is already in the light-medium range when it comes to Filipina skin so this can be a problem to the others who want to try the product out. Better get a powder that matches your skin ready to top it off.

As seen on the photos, the BB Cream's coverage wasn't strong enough to cover my dark marks. I guess this gives only light to medium coverage. 

Although the coverage was a bit of a disappointment for me, the oil control part was quite impressive! It controlled the shine of my face for around 4-5 hours and it also stayed on my face throughout the day!

Check out my selfies below. I used the BB Cream here and topped it off with a loose powder of my shade. I also used concealer for the acne marks.

With the help of concealer, this gives my face a bright look. I think this BB Cream will serve me more as a makeup base than a "foundation" which is still a good thing for me.

Here's a summary of my thoughts on this product:

- Packaging
- Locally available
- Sort of affordable
- Easy to blend
- Semi-matte finish
- Didn't cause any irritations

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Limited shades (only 2)
- Not enough coverage for me


Would I buy again? I don't think I will because I don't have an exact shade match and I also prefer more coverage (it's a hassle to use concealer on many parts of the face). But I would love to try out the other products of the brand! I already have a few I am thinking of getting! :D
