Getting to Know One Earth Organics

Just a few weeks ago, One Earth Organics celebrated it's first year in partnership with Beauty Bar, one of the leading places to shop for our beauty and personal care products.

I've seen the brand many times whenever I visit several Beauty Bar branches and I've noticed that they have products that ranges from anti-acne facial care to whitening products for the face and body, and let's not forget the popular underarm kit, and so much more. But what exactly is One Earth Organics? 

I was one of the lucky bloggers that was given the opportunity to celebrate with the brand as they reach this milestone with Beauty Bar and they sent a package containing a number of their products...

Mini Review: Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash and Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash

Good evening ladies,

One of the many drug store brands of facial care that I often go back to is Himalaya Herbals. My first encounter with this product was it's Neem Face Mask which Dawn had previously reviewed way back in 2010. Although sadly, I haven't seen a return of that Neem Face Mask, Himalaya still remains one of my top facial care brands.

Last October, we introduced you to their line of facial care and today we focus on two of their facial wash: Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash and Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash.

So let's get into our experience and the product details of each.

Here is the product description from their website: A soap-free, daily use face wash that cleanses and clarifies your skin of impurities, giving you a clear, radiant and even complexion. Saffron, well-known for its complexion enhancing properties helps clear skin of spots and blemishes while Licorice and White Dammer help regulate melanin synthesis restoring your skin's natural fairness. Pomegranate nourishes while Cucumber soothes your skin. Use morning and evening for visibly brighter, clearer and glowing skin.

The key ingredients for this product are: licorice, white dammer, saffron, cucumber and pomegranate.

This product cleans well and is not drying. Skin feels soft and refreshed after. Though I honestly cannot attest to it's whitening effect as my face doesn't have much of any uneven coloring (or I don't particularly notice it) for me to even judge whether it has helped in evening out my skin tone.

Here is the product info from their website as well: A soap-free, daily use exfoliating face wash that effectively cleanses your skin and gently exfoliates dead skin cells. Apricot granules gently scrub off dead skin cells, help stimulate fresh cell growth and prevent formation of blackheads. Neem and Lemon deep cleanse and remove excess oil while Aloe Vera soothes your skin and maintains its natural moisture balance, leaving your skin fresh, rejuvenated and glowing, day after day.

The key ingredients for this are: apricot, aloe vera, neem, lemon and red lentil.

This particular product is a favorite of mine. It is one of the gentlest exfoliating facial wash I've ever used. It's also great that its granules are organic (apricot granules) meaning they won't do much harm to the environment. After every wash, my skin feels rejuvenated and clean. It's not drying as well. The scent is minimal.

My sister also likes this facial wash as she had not experienced any break out with this product.

It's within the middle price range which isn't all that bad (79 and 74 for 50 ml; 129 and 124 for 100 ml). I would recommend buying the bigger bottle as it is more cost efficient. My daily wash at home was the Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash until 2 months ago. The 100 ml bottle lasted for a good two months since my sister and I both use it. Haven't bought another one since my sister bought another facial wash and I am too lazy to buy myself another one. But I will be buying this one again once we finish the facial wash we currently have now.

So that's it for this short review on these two facial wash. For those who like organic products (and even those who are just curious about organic stuff), hope this was helpful.

The bottle was sent to me a few months back. :)

The brand was actually new to me, but I felt happy to know about it because it means that more Proudly Pinoy brands are available in the market, and it's all-natural too! So what is Messy Bessy anyway? Here's what I've seen on their website:

The scent I have is Kiwi and this smells really, really good. I like my bath products smelling really good. I'm not into fruity, especially citrusy scents, though but this Kiwi one is just so addicting for me! If you have a chance to smell this, go ahead and see (smell?) for yourself how awesome the scent is!

I looked at their website for product info so we can get to know more about it.
I'm not sure if this one is the same as their Hand and Body Wash because I can't find their Hydrating Body Wash on the website. But I figured that both are body washes so I assumed that their qualities are pretty similar and I just posted the info here so we can have some idea what Messy Bessy Body Washes can do. Here's what the website says about their Hand and Body Wash:

"You deserve nothing more than the purest liquid soap you can find – free of sulfate, parabens, colorant & toxins that can work its way through your skin and into your body. Available in 4 yummy scents: Aloe & Green Tea, Kiwi Lemon, Ocean Rain, Vanilla Orange.

P 180 200ml / P 550 2-liter refill55

TO USE, Apply the Hand & Body Wash directly on your skin or on a bath sponge. Lather & Rinse.

Ingredients: Purified water, Potassium Cocoate, Monoethanolimide Coconut Amide, Sodium Lactate, Essential Oils, Sodium Chloride (thickener). Yup that’s all!"

The product is a bit runny and it's clear. It foams up pretty well and you instantly smell the sweet fragrance easily. The scent lingers for a few minutes (maybe 'til 15-30 minutes if you're not under the sun and sweating) after bath. I just love using this because I smell SO GOOD.

What I love more is that it's all natural! We all know that it's important to take care of the skin. It is it the biggest organ of our body that functions as our protection from our environment. What we put on our skin also gets absorbed into our body, so knowing that Messy Bessy is all natural, I feel like it's safer than other commercial brands. I did not encounter irritation nor allergies from this product... so yay!

Human Heart Nature Natural Feminine Wash Chamomile Fresh

Let's move away from the makeup and talk about taking care of our most intimate area.
We always want the best for us. We look for products that work well and most importantly, doesn't damage our skin. That's why I'm switching to organic products as much as I can so I try and explore options that work well with my body. And good news for me because I found a good feminine wash for everyday use! 

Human Nature Natural Feminine Wash

This is around Php 160.00 for the 200ml bottle and Php 60.00 for the 50ml bottle.

I have been using feminine wash for so long. My mom is an obstetrician so she gets quite a lot of samples from different brands so I could really say that I've tried quite a lot. But since I'm not well familiar with chemicals, I opted to try something that is mostly organic since I believe it is a lot gentler and safer.

So let's explore the packaging! It's in a clear bottle which I like because you'll be able to see how much of the product is left. You'll also see the batch number and expiration dates labeled on the bottle along with the product description, directions and ingredients list.

What I love about this product is that it is so gentle. I never experienced any itchiness, irritations nor dryness with this (I experienced some of this from some brands before). It has a very mild chamomile scent too. It has a gel-like consistency so you can easily control the amount of product you use. It's also super affordable!
