October-November Haul (2017)

Hello dolls!

It's the Christmas season also known as another big shopping season. Haha! The traffic lately has been heck (doggo language much?)! So I'm sure that many will settle with online shopping. Why not? When all these amazing online shops are giving huge discounts on their items!

But for me, Christmas came quite early. I already bought SO MANY stuff during the past couple of season. Haha! On today's post, I'll show you what I bought and what's to come on future reviews. :)

Last November, the SephoraPH mobile app had this promo wherein when you buy some selected products amounting to 11k, you get 40% off. Okay... so it's pretty much too expensive for my budget, but 60% off is a big steal and I really like the products I got! ! I only paid PhP 4,640.00 for all the items seen on the photo above. Their regular prices sum up to PhP 11,600.00.

See them below. I also included the regular price at SephoraPh.

Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss in BE131

Hey dears!

Just sharing a quick swatch post on...

Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss in BE131

It was given as a freebie when I bought some products online so I'm not so sure how much this is in store but I'm guessing it's around Php 300.00.

It comes in a tube. Not really a fan of this packaging when it comes to lip products because it is hard to control the amount you put on the lips.

I can't read the labels at the back because it's in Japanese.
But this gloss is available in 10 shades.

Swatch on paper

Swatch on arm

Swatch on lips

The gloss is very sheer and has little glitters. Not really a fan of it to be honest. I like a little color on my lip products. I don't like that it's sticky too so in short, I'm not a fan of this particular product. One of the very few products I didn't like from Majolica Majorca. It does smell nice though.

I guess that's all I can say about it. :)

Cheers,

EOTD : Royal Treatment

Hey babes!

I woke up earlier than usual this morning and decided to use my extra minutes before going to work by taking some pictures of my eye makeup today.

*excuse my unkempt brows... I have full bangs and hide them so I can get away with being lazy! HAHA! I promise to groom it tomorrow! :P

So what's with the name?
I thought of "Royal Treatment" because the colors I used, purple and gold, are usually associated with royalty.

So here are the products I used for the look:
Coffret D'Or Gel Eyeliner
Holika Holika Jewel-Light Waterproof Eyeliner in #5
I also used Sephora Eyeshadow in Starry Sky on the outer corners of my eyes. I forgot to add it on the pic. :P

I guess this color scheme is one of my favorites. I think I've done this look many times now but with different brands of eyeshadows.

L.A. Colors Face Loose Powder in Light to set it.
For my blush I used San San Blush-On in 01 and for my lips, NARS Lipstick in Rebel and topped it off with NYX Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa.

So that's all for today! Hope you like this look! :D

FOTD : Steel Raspberry

Hello loves!

Here's my FOTD last Saturday when I went out to buy some stuff for my upcoming birthday celebration... I'm trying to make it extra special because it will be my first time spending my own hard-earned money for my birthday.

More on that later... I still have more than two weeks left to prepare. Getting so excited here!

Anyway, this is what I looked like:

I used two of my newest makeup which were gifts from The Body Shop.
I got the name of this FOTD from the two products' names.

These are the eyeshadows I used:
The Body Shop Colour Crush in Steel My Heart
Sephora Eyeshadow in Starry Sky

Here's how I blended them together.

And below's the finished look with the eyeliners and mascara:
Used Majolca Majorca Lash King, Coffret D'Or Gel Liner and Wet 'N Wild ColorIcon Eyeliner in White. For my brows, I used KATE Brow Mascara. :)

And the other new product is the lipstick which I blogged about yesterday...

And if you've noticed, my skin is quite "poreless," don't you agree?

I used one of my favorite primers, Coffret D'or Magicalflat Concealer. I'll do a review on that soon.

Used a MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation in NC25 and L.A. Colors Loose Powder in Light on my skin. My blush is T'estimo Blush in PK-18 but it's quite faint. And I also used Guerlain Terracotta Moisturizing Bronzing Powder in no. 10 for contouring.

So more selfie pictures below:

Most of the products used in this look have been reviewed in previous posts. Feel free browse around the blog for them. :)

So, how do you like the look?

Review : Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara

Hi loves!!

It took a while for me to finally buy a Mojolica Majorca mascara. I've read so many great reviews on their mascaras that I was convinced to try them out. It's just that I kept receiving mascaras as gifts and I didn't want to waste them.

But a month ago, Majolica Majorca Philippines gave a huge discount on a mascara that I just had to buy one! Got it for only Php 499.00!

Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara

It's cased on a plastic container upon purchase:

The shade I got is the black one, BK999.
They have it in a different color too, BR666 (brown).

The labels are written in Japanese so I just browsed the web and found a website with the product desciption:

description
Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara contains rich fiber and Volume Up Wax make glossy, pine needle-shaped lashes with abundant volume and length. Strong against humidity, it maintains the lashes’ curl all day long. As it is water-proof, sweat-proof and tear-proof.

Majolica Majorca Lash King Mascara catches even tiny lashes from their roots. Lashes are bitten between the balls and sharp triangular bunches are made. It pushes up making beautiful curls without clump.

how to use it
  1. Comb eyelashes with eyelash brush. Curl up eyelashes with lash curler.
  2. Take out the mascara brush. Brush your eyelashes outwards and horizontally. Brush the outer side of eyelashes first then the inner side for curly eyelashes.
  3. Apply the second layer if necessary. Reapply after the previous layer dries.
  4. Tidy up with eyelash brush.

The packaging is gorgeous! I'm a big fan of Majolica Majorca's packaging because it's simply princessy! :)

Here's the wand.

You'll see some loose fibers and it may also appear dry (but it's sooo not). It has a weird smell though... but it doesn't really matter since you won't be smelling it since it's applied on your lashes.

So below are pictures of my eyes before and after application and even up to 3rd coat of the product:

Bare eyes

Curled (using Shu Uemura's lash curler)

One coat

2 coat!

3 coats!

My eyes with only mascara on!
No eyeliners. No eyeshadows.

It volumizes. It lengthens. It's lightweight so it doesn't pull down my lashes and kept it curled all day! The wand makes it easy to use and it reaches the short lashes! It's so easy to use at the lower lashes too! You might need a comb since this can tend the lashes to pile together because of the fibers but that only happens when you put too much coats. And it's waterproof too!

This can cause some smudging underneath the eyes... especially if you have oily skin like me. So try to place some translucent powder to avoid that from happening. And oh, you might need a good makeup remover to completely take this product off your lashes. :P

To summarize:

WHAT I LIKE:

Volumizes
Lengthens
Lightweight
Keeps my lashes curled
Easy to use
Packaging is gorgeous
Waterproof
Locally available
Available in 2 shades

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:

May sometimes smudge under the eyes

Will I repurchase?
Probably. But I want to try the other Majolica Majorca Mascaras first! Haha!

Have you tried Majolica Majorca's Lash King Mascara yet?
What about the other mascaras? Which is your favorite?

Cheers!

Review: Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover

Hey lovelies!

I have mentioned before in my review in EH's Dr. Oil Solution Shine Free Dual Primer that I will try and explore other makeup primers... so...

TADAAAA!!!

I got a new one to review! :D
Not really new since I got this waaay back in December. I just didn't have the time to review it. But I've used it several times.

It's the Majolica Majorca Skin Lingerie Pore Cover
A tube is around Php650.00

So here are some information about the product:
(these pictures are screenshots from their website)

First of all, I'm a fan of Majolica Majorca's package design. I have a princess complex and if you browse their branches and products, you'll see how princessy-looking their items are!
This primer is no exception. I like the gold design and cursive fonts on it. I also like that it is in a tube form so it's not bulky and easy to carry around in your vanity kit!

Besides the appearance, I like that the tube's opening is very thin that it is easy to control the amount of product you will use.

See? You can put as little or as much as you want with ease!

The product is very silky and can be easily spread on the skin. ♥

The product is kind of tinted. Sort of fits the fair skin tone. But it doesn't really matter since once spread, it gets translucent enough. Just put an appropriate amount like a cute pea shape. :P
And I don't think it can conceal pimple scars (at least mine) since it's not tinted enough but it does somehow conceal redness.

The product's finish is matte. I like that since I have oily skin and prefer my skin without shine. :P

And about their promise on covering my pores?
It did! Not entirely though, but it still made it smaller! It covered my pores better than the EH's Dr. Oil Solution Shine Free Dual Primer. I super love Majolica Majorca products. With this primer + my Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover Foundation, I don't have to worry with my huge pores being too obvious. ♥

I just wish that it has oil control like my previous primer

So what I like about it:

Covers pores
Silky on the skin
Matte finish
Affordable
Available Locally
Has SPF 20
Love the packaging

What I don't like about it:

Not necessarily "not like it" but I wish it has oil control like my other primer. It would have been my HG primer if it did!

So that's it for the review! Hope it's helpful!

And btw, Majolica Majorca Philippines is now 1 year old!
Yayyy!

And for those who will go to SM Mall of Asia tomorrow, March 17, you can check out their branch at the department store for an exclusive consultation and makeover!

For more info, just check out their Facebook page or website.
And if you want to visit their branches in the Philippines, here's the list.
