Review: Ever Organics Tomato Collection

If you're a fan of KBeauty, you probably like having the "glass skin" look. If this look is new to you, it's pretty much having a clear, smooth, bright, and dewy skin. A huge part of achieving this look is having well-moisturized skin. Kbeauty skincare is known for having so many steps and products that many of us here may feel overwhelmed with all the products and the cost of them.

Well, a local brand, Ever Organics, just released a collection that focuses on giving us the "Glass Skin" we've been craving for and in such affordable prices! And oh, did I mention that their products are made in Korea? Yep, the land of Kbeauty and the where the glass skin got famous first.

Review: Hello Glow Triple Vitamin AHA Lotion and Vitamin C Serum Soothing Gel

Quite recently I discovered the local skincare brand, Hello Glow. I'm happy to know that more and more local brands are popping up even during the pandemic and that they are launching more products (which are made in South Korea, btw) to help our skin look good and healthy.

A couple of weeks ago, I received two of their products—the Hello Glow Triple Vitamin AHA Lotion and Vitamin C Serum Soothing Gel. I've been using them for a while and here's my review of them.

First, the Hello Glow Triple Vitamin AHA Lotion (Php 150.00).

When I received this item, I was so excited about it as it has some of my favorite skincare ingredients, niacinamide and lactic acid! Niacinamide helps your skin stay firm and retain moisture while lactic acid is anti-aging and lightens dark spots. Other key ingredients are Vitamin A, which helps in skin healing and keeping it healthy, and Vitamin E which helps soothe skin and help keep it hydrated too.

Review: Hello Glow Sunflower Collection

Don't you just get excited when you see a skincare set that works and fits the budget? Well that was what I felt when I was able to try Hello Glow's Sunflower Collection.

But before I share my review, I have to say that before I tried the collection, I honestly was not aware of the brand Hello Glow. It has been a long while since I just browsed the beauty sections of malls (since the pandemic started I think) nor have I actively looked at everything that's new at the beauty scene. I was actually contacted by the team behind the brand if I wanted to try and review the products to which I agreed to because I was curious about it.

Why was I curious? Well, I did a quick research about Hello Glow, a fairly new local brand (founded in 2020) and quite active in social media. It gave me a young and cool vibe. The products they have look fresh and also quite within a typical pinoy's budget! It claims to produce products that are vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, and SLS-free.

What's more, the collection that is being featured has sunflower as main ingredient. I've used dozens of products with sunflower and I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that sunflower oils are one of the good oils for skin if you're someone into face oils... and look what's included in the collection—a sunflower beauty oil! 

Extra Confidence Through Shapewear

I've been in the heavy side most of my life. It has affected my confidence a lot and has been a struggle of mine for as long as I remember. I'm pretty sure many out there, both men and women, have body insecurities as well. But what's good is that there are products out there that help us with these insecurities like for example how makeup helps me express my mood and enhance my features or how dresses make me feel more feminine and elegant. I have shared with you many of my beauty finds that make me feel beautiful and happy, but there's also another thing that I've used that help me feel sexy and confident and that is wearing shapewears. 

Having extra layers makes some of my clothing look unflattering. Let's face it, having that beautiful hourglass shape body is the ideal and I do like myself when I use support to achieve the said shape. Shapewears like bodysuits, body supports, butt lifters, and the like help me conceal some of the flabs and give my body a more flattering and sculpted shape. Shapellx is a brand that I encountered recently that promises to be the best shapewear for women.    

Shapellx aim to be the support that boosts confidence of women from stay at home moms to boss ladies. Just checking out their website, I've found familiar products that I'd like to have such as their body shaper + butt lifter:

It's Been Almost Three Years, and I'm Back

Hey beauties!

Guess who's back??? ME!

It's been a long time since the last I posted anything on this blog. If you're reading this and was a reader of my blog from years ago, I'm impressed that you're still here. I'm even surprising myself that I have the energy and will to put this blog back to life. 

So what made me write again? Well, my love for makeup and skincare never really left and I still check my blog's email everyday and I still get emails from readers once in a while and even from brands or other services that wanted to collaborate. I'm amazed that even after years of inactivity, there are still a few people out there that noticed our efforts in this blog. We made the blog not for money, but to share our experiences with beauty products and services. Sure it gave us perks like free haircuts and press kits but just sharing our reviews are the main goal. And after almost three years of not doing that, I kinda miss it. So I'll just write again whenever I have time and share any beauty finds I encounter. Probably not as often tho, but there will be posts!
