Review : Shiseido Sheer and Perfect Foundation

Hey loves!

Sharing a review of one of the gifts my sister gave me when she last visited from Australia.

It's the Shiseido Sheer and Perfect Foundation

The shade is in O60 or Natural Deep Ochre.

So below are pictures of the box (for info):

The price of a bottle is Php 2,200.00.

Back of the bottle
The 30ml bottle has a shelf life of 2 years. This is available in 18 shades.

More info from the website:

Sheer and Perfect Foundation cancels out the appearance of redness, blemishes and visible pores without concealing skin’s natural beauty. Skin looks fresh and glows with sheer perfection.
  • Oil-free
  • Long-lasting wear with all day hydration
  • Silky-smooth without shine or stickiness
  • 18 shades
Formulated with Reflect & Fit Powder – 3 types of optical powder complex that cancels out uneven coloration:
  • Green Powder cancels redness and blemishes
  • Blue Powder cancels dark spots and circles
  • White Powder cancels visible pores
I like the plastic bottle. It's light and non-bulky—perfect for on-the-go people and those who travel. I carried it with me during my 3 week vacation out-of-the country.

Here's a swatch

When slightly smudged

The shade is very warm and it's actually a little darker than my skin. It's quite watery and light too so applying it all over your face is quite easy.

I love that it does everything that it promised. It's lightweight, it is long-lasting—it can stay the whole day but I need to blot every now and then (probably every 4 hours) because of my oily skin, I encountered no stickiness, no caking, and it also has a soft, sort of dewy, fresh finish that gives you a certain glow. I like it!

It evened out my skin and it somehow concealed some of my blemishes, pores, dark spots and redness. Only some because it's quite sheer... probably light-medium coverage. But as you can see on the picture, it really made a difference in making my skin look more even. I still need to cover up many of my dark scars, especially on the jaw line.

It really seems like it's such a good product after reading how I described it. Well, it actually is. I really like it. If you were to ask me what feature I like the most about it, it would probably be how light it is on skin. It feels like you aren't wearing makeup at all! Your skin can breathe! It's so lightweight but it gives coverage and lasts a long while!

What I LIKE:

- Comes in 18 shades
- Lightweight
- Easy to apply
- Locally available
- Long-lasting
- Conceals blemishes, pores, redness
- No stickiness
- Packaging
 - Oil-free
- Has SPF15
- No caking
- No breakouts
- Light to medium coverage

What I DON'T LIKE:

- The price is too expensive (well at least for me)

Would I repurchase?
I probably won't. I guess I still prefer heavier coverage. It's not the product's fault since it is meant to be sheer. I guess I just have too many blemishes I want to hide for now so I won't be getting this for some time. But I definitely recommend this to those with better skin condition than I do. I bet you'd look radiant wearing this! :D

Have you tried this foundation from Shiseido yet? Do you know of other foundations that are like this?

Cheers,
DAWN

  1. Shiseido foundations are ok for me. Not the best especially considering the price point. I used to use one of the UV foundations and it felt hydrating at first but seems to really dry up throughout the day..
