L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencil

Hey guys!

Sharing my thoughts on these products...
L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils in Sunglasses and Sea Shells
This is Php 119.00 each.

I learned about this product online when I read a blog post review about it. I thought it was worth a try... that it would be a nice eye shadow base especially the black one for smokey eyes.

The L.A. Colors Jumbo Eye Pencils are very affordable and also portable.

Here's Sunglasses (black).

And here's Sea Shell (white).

Info from the website:

LONG LASTING
VIBRANT SHADES
SMOOTH APPLICATION

Skip the traditional powder eyeshadow and try a jumbo eyeshadow pencil. It allows you to use as an eyeliner for bold lines or blend out for a subtle effect. Display comes complete with dual sharpener for easy sharpening.

Swatches on hand

As you can see, they are both very, very pigmented. It glides smoothly on skin so applying and blending is easy!

Here's how it looks when I apply it on my lips together

It blends well.

But as you can see, it easily creases. Especially when my lids get oily after a couple of hours.

Translucent powder helps but my lids are just too oily. It doesn't stay long at all. Probably 2 hours tops. :(

I tried using it on top of eye shadow too.

I blend it with a powder eyeshadow.

I even top it off with more. LOL (Yeah, the copper doesn't really do well with the initial look. Haha!)

And I just add some black pencil liner on my waterline and apply mascara to finish the look.

This lasted longer than when worn alone. I guess it only started creasing around 3-4 hours. Which is still early than I expected. The result is still the same even with eye shadow primer (I used my Art Deco Eyeshadow Base). *sigh*

Me with the eye makeup

I'm actually disappointed on these since the review I saw was a positive one. I guess my lids are just very oily. Oh well. :(

Have you tried these yet? Did they crease on you too or did they work great on your lids?

L.A. Colors Diamond Shine Lipgloss in Golden Peach

Hi dears!

Since it's the summer season already here in the Philippines, I try to make my makeup a little lighter and more on the warm and bronzy shades. And since my lippie collections are mostly bold reds and pinks, I decided to buy a gloss that would look natural on the lips. I am not much of a fan of lipgloss so I just bought one that's very affordable...

L.A. Colors Diamond Shine Lipgloss
Bought this at Robinsons Magnolia Department Store for Php 150.00.

The shade is Golden Peach.

So I bought this because I love PEACH (my blog name's a giveaway)! I love glosses that are in that color because it's warm, feminine and very wearable. I think it's the color of my second lippie ever and it's also a lipgloss.

Here's a closeup of the applicator.
It's good but not the best. I have to do multiple dips so that I get the desired gloss for my lips.

Swatch on my hand
I like the shimmers. They are very fine and they feel smooth on the lips. I also like that the colors of the shimmers are mixtures of gold and silver.

Swatch on lips

I would have loved this lipgloss if it weren't for it's sheerness. It like I only added gloss and glitters. I was expecting a little more peach color from it. So I guess I'll just use it on top of a lipstick because I don't like wearing something this sheer on my lips.

Do you like wearing glosses over lippies? What's your favorite brand (mines Fusion Beauty's LipFusion)?

Review : L.A. Colors Smudge Proof Liquid Eyeliner

Hello guys!

So I was looking for a really black liquid eyeliner some months ago for a K-Pop inspired makeup look I wanted to do on myself. The makeup look didn't went well. I guess K-Pop makeup doesn't suit my face... or I'm just not satisfied with how it turned out... But anyway, it goes the same with this particular eyeliner. This turned out to be a disappointed.

L.A. Colors Smudge Proof Liquid Eyeliner
This is somewhere around Php 200.00.

Below are the labels on the eyeliner's packaging:

And additional info from their website:

LONG LASTING
WATER RESISTANT
FINE BRUSH APPLICATOR

Water resistant Liquid Eyeliner is specially formulated for long lasting wear. Ultra fine brush applicator ensures precision lining.

The applicator is indeed very fine. Though I like that it can create very thin lines, its bristles became like this:

This annoyed me too much that I never used it again.

The only good thing about this is that it is very black. Check the swatch below:

It takes a while to dry when applied so you need to wait for 10 seconds before opening your eyes.

Is it long-lasting? Yes, if you do not have oily lids like me. It smudges on me when my lids get extremely oily. Is it water-resistant? I believe so. It takes a while to get smudged when I expose it to water but with a few wiping, there are some parts that get smudged off. Remember, it's water-resistant, not waterproof.

What I LIKE:

- Very black
- Water-resistant
- Affordable
- Locally available
- Brush is fine and easy to manipulate

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Not long lasting especially on my oily lids
- Applicator's bristles go all over the place
- Packaging looks tacky

Even though this eyeliner has good qualities, the bad ones are too major for me to reconsider using this product again. I find this a big disappointed and I don't think I'll ever think of buying this again. :(

So what do you think of this product? Do you like other products from this brand?
