I'll Be Back in a Couple!

Hey guys!

I apologize for not posting much recently. I only have a week and a half left this semester in Grad school and I'm currently finishing the requirements for my finals and that is why I haven't been posting much on my blog for the past couple of weeks. 

Here are some of the works I'm doing...

One is a flat painting on canvas while the other is embossed using styrofoam. I'll be doing more versions of this abstract portrait, like a free standing one and high relief version. If they will look good, I'll post pics of them here. :P These will be exhibited in my school for a few days so ummm... I'm pressured to make them somehow decent because I have to do them in a short amount of time plus I have work and other subjects to deal with. Yikes! Wish me luck.

Anyway, I'm almost done with the requirements so I'll be posting some beauty related posts soon. I received very interesting products last week that I'm excited to share my reviews about them with you all! Yay! 

And by the way, the KPop group that I listen to is back! Haha! Been fangirling last Friday because they released their two songs that day. Check them out here:

And they also performed these songs on stage earlier today. Here's the video of their performance:

T.O.P is just so crazy gorgeous. :D :D :D

NOTD: Elf Nail Polish in Fire Coral

 Hey Girls!

Just sharing my NOTD!

 Nail polish I used is Elf Nail Polish in Fire Coral and I added some black tips after. :)

Sort of looks like a ladybug if I add a line on the center and add some white dots... Maybe I'll do one just like that someday. :P

Might not be posting much this week because it's our finals week. Lots of deadlines to meet and long nights of studying for exams.

Will just leave you the most recent work I did. It's one of the plates I have to submit this week.

 We had to do a realistic portrait mixed with abstract art. My inspiration is my classmate, Vireza. :P

It's Dawn's Birthday Today!

 Hi Girls!

It's the 25th of September and it's my birthday today! Yayyy! 

Celebrated it with my family and Liz a few hours ago. Just strolled around Greenbelt 3 and ate dinner at Marciano's.

My best friend, Liz and me.

 And super gwapong brother. :P

And I want to share with you all one of my projects in one of my subjects in school. We were tasked to make a 2D illustration of ourselves dressed in costumes of what we would want to be -- a superhero, a god/goddess, or a disney character. We were only to use the Adobe Illustrator Application alone. Was a bit challenging at first but I did had fun doing this. :)

I illustrated myself as a french princess during the Rococo period. Haha. I have a slight princess complex. :P

EOTD: Inspired By My Own Painting

This painting is one of my plates in our Composition subject. Definitely had fun doing the face. Been a while since I painted. 

I have this tendency to put makeup on the faces of female subjects of my artworks and this one is no exception. My classmates, especially Anna, find this one really pretty. 

Anyway, the next day I was thinking of which look I will do next and saw the painting. So I just copied the look! :P

Here's what I put on my eyes:

Smokey copper with black eyeliner.

Comparing the pictures, I guess it doesn't look much alike. Probably because of the difference between my eyes and the subject's, or my skin is kind of yellowish compared to the painting's beige skin or maybe my eyeshadows aren't coppery enough. :P

 Does copper toned eyeshadow suit my eyes? Any comments on the EOTD or the painting? Do share! :)

Red Lipstick

Did another Photography plate and this time I had to do a product ad. The product I chose is a lipstick and I asked my sister, Tracy, to be my model. Even though she was exhausted with her thesis defense (the shoot transpired a few days after her defense), I got her to model for me --I bribed her with having a cute profile pic for her FB! haha.

 Here's the lipstick my sister used during the shoot -- Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Wine with Everything (no. 525).

I actually got a good grade on this plate! Many thanks to my beautiful sister for being so cooperative.

Self-portrait in Oil Paint

Our final plate in our Life Painting Subject is to create your self-portrait in any style of painting you want. I went with the style I'm very familiar with which is in between realistic and impressionistic.

This is my second time using oil paint. This is the medium I've been dying to learn since I was in my first year in Fine Arts!

Sorry for the reflection. It was framed with a glass cover. :P

Meet Theodore and Francesca

Hi Girls!

Sorry for the lack of post. We've been really busy. One reason is that I have a ton of projects to finish and one of them is this plate for our Ad design subject. We are tasked to do a Pixilation Animation wherein we will make a film using a lot of pictures instead of videos. Good thing is that it is done in groups of 6 and of course I'm with my closest friends

 

 Vireza and Anna (just to name a few).

So the short film will revolve around a date between Theodore and Francesca!

So here's our lead actor, the cute, korean-looking, Theodore!

And our beautiful and sexy actress, Francesca!

Makeup of Francesca is done by yours truly.

Hopefully they let me post our short film in the blog when it is done! :P
