The Body Shop Born Lippy Toffee Lip Balm

Hello ladies,

Everyone loves a good lip balm right? Especially when they taste a lot like candy. Here's one from The Body Shop's Born Lippy Collection.

Though I'm not a big fan of Toffee, I do love lip balms from TBS since they come in almost all flavors and they perform well enough.

Ingredients:

I do like the color of the balm, a neutral brown which was not that glossy. The finish is silky and smooth without looking too wet. I think it's great for when you're in a rush in your lipstick routine.

And here's the finish. It's a barely there finish if I must say. This lip balm is a great gift idea for your friends who you're trying to break into kikay-ness.

So that's it for my short "share" post. It's been a long while since I last did an entry... hopefully I'd be able to to do more in the following days.

Cheers,
LIZ

Styli-Style Flat Liquid Liner 24

Hey looooves!

It's my birthday!!!
And since it's quite a busy day for me, I'll just post a quick swatch post on...

Styli-Style Flat Liquid Liner 24
Bought it for Php 150.00 at Beauty Bar.

I got it in black. It is 1.6g and has a shelf life of 2 years.

I bought it because of the unique shape! I thought it would be great in doing the thick liners I usually do especially the filling-up part.
It looks like a felt pen! It actually feels like you're using a felt pen when you apply this.

Here are swatches!
The first two is when you swatch it with the tip only and the one at the bottom is when you apply it all flat.

It's not very bold but it is buildable. It can become very opaque after a few coats. It dries pretty quickly too so no need to close your eyes for a whole minute just to make sure that the line won't transfer to the upper part of the eyelids.

It would have been a great liner for me but it just smudges when my eyelids become oily after a few hours. Oh well. It still comes in handy when I do my makeup experiments. :P

That's all, guys! :D

Review : Essence Cosmetics Pure Skin All-In-One BB Cream

Hi everyone!

Been watching the news and a lot of depressing things have been happening. *sigh*

Anyway, just to get my mind off of these things, I'll just write you a short review on...

Essence Cosmetics Pure Skin All-In-One BB Cream

Not sure how much this is since I only won this from a Facebook Giveaway from Essence Philippines. :) But I think this is very affordable like most of Essence's products.

The shade I got is in natural but it's available in 2 other shades. There's a lighter and a darker one. It has SPF30 and PA+++.

The tube carries 30ml of the product and has a shelf life of a year.

At the back you can see a short description and the ingredients list. It promises that it is dermatologically tested, fragrance free, oil free, moisturizing and doesn't clog pores.

Here's the product on the back of my hand:
Just by looking at the picture, I can somewhat agree that it is formulated for asian skin because of the yellowish tone to it.

But I think my skin is a bit warmer.
The consistency is a quite thin compared to other BB creams I've used. It's not runny, I actually like it because it's so easy to spread and it feels so light on skin.

The finish is semi-matte. It gives a soft glow on the skin once it sets.

A before and after shots

It's great that the shade is near my natural color. Coverage is light. It's not too visible in the pictures because surprisingly, my face is getting a lot better now. Yayy!

It doesn't have oil control. Even if I top it off with powder, my face gets shiny within two to three hours. So I guess it is better for those with dry to normal skin.

Personally, I wouldn't use this alone because of its sheerness. I'd use this as a makeup base and top it off with a good foundation. I don't experience caking when I do that so it's all good! ;)

What do you think of this BB Cream from Essence? Have you tried it before?

My Birthday Haul Part 1 (2013)

Hey guys!

Today was a no work day for me due to the heavy rains. Since the family was home doing nothing, we decided to go out once the floods around the metro subsided.

We decided to go to SM Aura since my mom and I haven't been to the place. I was actually excited because I know that there are makeup brands that can only be found there for now.

So anyway, since I did received some cash as an early birthday gift from my aunts, I went to the beauty section of the department store as soon as I got the chance to do some solo shopping. I lingered around the stalls of those brands that are still unfamiliar to me and I bought at least one product from them! Haha!

Here are my purchases:

ZA Total Hydration BB Cream UV - Php 395.00
ZA Perfect Fit Concealer - Php 345.00
I got a free pink pouch too! Yayyy!

Clio Kill Black Waterproof Brush Liner and O'Tank Volume Mascara - Php 695.00
Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow in Glammy Goes to... - Php 209.00
Flormar Eye Shadow in 019 - Php 199.00
Misslyn Skin Corrector 3 in Neutral Beige - Php 249.00

I wanted to buy more... wayyyy more! But my money is limited and I still have plans on buying more new stuff! It was fun visiting SM Aura. I wish I had more time browsing the beauty area but the people I was with wanted to get home early. I can't really blame them since the weather isn't very pleasant right now.

What do you think of the items? Any recommendations on other products to check out when I visit SM Aura again? Which would you like me to review soon?

Cheers,
