ZA Perfect Solution Restoring Collagen Cream

Hey loves!

Just sharing a quick review on

ZA Perfect Solution Restoring Collagen Cream
I bought this on a huge discount actually. The original price was Php 725.00 and I got it for only Php 399.00. Awesome, right?

I was convinced by my friend, Robin, to purchase one... oh wait... she really planned to go to SM North to buy it because it was on sale... I was just an impulse buyer and bought one too because of the huge discount. Haha!

For more info on this product, here are pictures of the labels on the box:

I decided to get it because moisturizing is an important thing in skincare. It was such a good deal and I knew that I'd surely use this. I have emptied the tub a week ago actually. It took me more than a month to finish the whole tub!

I use this every night before I go to bed (I use a different moisturizer in the morning). What you'll notice in your first try is that it smells really pleasant. It looks thick but it feels light on skin and it gets absorbed by the skin within a few minutes.

You'll also notice that your skin gets firm and soft, especially the next day after you wake up. It really does the job hydrating my skin. I really like it and I'm happy that I got a great deal with this product. I just don't advice those with oily skin like me to wear it during the day or underneath makeup because it will really oil you up! Just use this at night and let it's uber moisturizing magic work on your skin. :D

What's inside my Sample Room Inspire Goodie Bag?

Hello everyone!

I finally got to subscribe to Sample Room's goodie bag and the package arrived today! Hoorayyy!!! This batch's theme is "Inspire."

I was so excited to come home because I know the package will arrive today. I received an email from Xend yesterday that the package is on its way and since I've been using Xend for years now, it only takes a day or two for me to get my stuff.

And when I opened the Xend plastic bag, I was greeted with a handwritten card... and a pretty, pink "I Love Sample Room" ribbon! :P

The items were inside this Inspire canvas bag. I love the pockets at the front. This will now be my shopping bag when I go to malls!

And these are the items inside:

According to the Facebook Photo, all the products inside would amount to more than Php 5k. And I believe it is so because I'm a bit aware of the prices of the products and most of them are in their full sizes.

I'm just glad that the stuff inside are things that I haven't used yet so I'm really excited to try them out!

Anyway, here are pictures of the items:

AHAVA Time to Treat Comforting Cream
AHAVA Dermud Intensive Hand Cream
AHAVA Deadsea Water Mineral Body Exfoliator
AHAVA Deadsea Mud Gentle Body Exfoliator
AHAVA Deadsea Water Mineral Shower Gel

ZA True White Day Protector
Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask

United Color of Benetton Let's Love Eau de Toilette
Pevonia enzymo-spherides peeling cream
Reven Eco Beauty Tool Natural Cleansing Sponge

NYX Lipliner Pencil in Hot Red
Colour Collection Lipstick in Sweet Tart
Charm Pro Flat Liner Brush

This bag is definitely worth my Php 1,290.00. I'm glad I was one of the first 25 people who got lucky and got a reservation. :D

Do you see something from the goodie bag you want us to make a review soon? If you do, comment them below!

A Makeup Tutorial Session from Clinique PH

Hey everyone!

Last Friday I went to Trinoma because I booked a tutorial session from Clinique Philippines. I get to have a makeover done by one of their consultants and they'll be using Clinique skincare products that suit my skin. Here's what I looked like after the makeover:

What do you think?

I booked this because my friends, Helen and Robin, convinced me to try it out. I wasn't really in the mood to get out of the house during the long weekend but I realized that I'm on the hunt for other skincare products that I can try. I do believe that my current routine is good enough but maybe there are other products out there that can treat my skin problems better. So why not try the workshop and learn what among Clinique's skincare range would work on my skin best. Clinique is, afterall, one of the major brands that focus on skincare and cosmetics.

So before I introduce the products that was used in my session, here are before and after pictures of me:

Haha! I look weird and so dull without makeup! The right photo, on the other hand, looks so colorful and cheery.

The consultant tasked to do my skincare and makeup was Cathy. She was hands-on with explaining every product used on me. She knew exactly what to apply as soon as she analyzed my skin.

And so, here are some of the products that were used in the tutorial. I didn't get to take photos of every product but I made sure to take photos of the ones that were very interesting for me and those that were highly recommended by Cathy.

 Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions
This is the range that deals with the problems I've been encountering for more than a decade. Cathy didn't use all three products though...

...she only used this for my moisturizer. Cathy said this will keep me hydrated without getting my skin very oily. It feels light on the skin!

To add more moisture to my skin, she applied Moisture Surge. It's also light and actually feels like gel made of water. It dries fast when applied and made my skin very soft.

She then applied the Pore Refining Solutions Stay-Matte Hydrator to keep my skin shine-free. I can't really say if this worked since I got oily after 3-4 hours. I dunno if it just didn't work on me or maybe the amount of moisturizers were too much? Not sure but I wish I get to use this more so I can be more accurate in my initial review.

And let's move to the makeup part...

She combined these three foundations to achieve my color wherein Cashew has the highest amount. She also combined their CC Cream. After blending it on my face, she topped it off with powder.

She asked me if I wanted nude eyes or smoky. Of course I chose smoky because I love bold eyeshadows! :P

She used this for my eye makeup. I was worried just because it's blue. I don't do blue smoky eyes much just because it can get drag-like. In the end, it wasn't too dark but I wasn't fond of the finished look. I guess it was just okay. Not something I would do on me but it's just... okay, I guess.

For the lips, she used these very, very beautiful shades—Curviest Caramel and Mightiest Maraschino. Combined, they made an awesome peachy pink shade.

So those are the notable products used for my makeup tutorial with Cathy of Clinique PH. She was so nice to arrange the products she used from the first one she applied to the last one so that incase I decide to purchase some of them, I know how to use them. See the photo below to check it out:

And what do you think of the look?

And also, they gave the people who attended the workshops some freebies! Two lucky ones will get full-sized products. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them. Oh well.
But here are the products I got!

Super happy that I get to take home these. I got a free makeover and skincare lesson and I also got free stuff! Thanks, Clinique! :D

So do check out your favorite brands if they are doing workshops or seminars. You get to learn a lot and discover new products that can help you with your skin or other beauty concerns. I love going to those because I get to learn new stuff everytime about the brand and their products.

One of the products I am eyeing on besides the products used on me in the tutorial is this:

Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
My skin's ultimate enemies are my dark spots that I got from blemishes. I'm looking for good products that can help me deal with that and I really, really hope that this can be my ally. It's quite pricey at P4k+ but if it works, then it's so worth it! Time to save up!

Anyway, other products I got while I was at Trinoma (and SM North which was on their 3-day sale) that day are the following:

I answered Benefit PH's survey and they gave me all these samples for free!

My second bottle of Ciracle's Vitamin Source C-20 — Php 1,2k+

ZA Perfect Solution Restoring Collagen Cream — Php399.00 (original price is Php 700+)

Flormar Mat Touch Foundation — around Php 700 but got this at 10% off

Biokos Vital Nutrition Eye Shield Treatment — Around Php 400-500
Been looking for an affordable eye cream. Hoping this can help slow down aging. Haha!

Beyu Soft Liner in Black — Php 450-500
Bought this because my sister took my very black eyeliner to Australia. Haha!

So that's all for this post, guys. :)

Review : ZA Total Hydration BB Cream UV

Hello loves!

Some months ago, I was walking around for the first time in SM Aura when I found the stall of ZA at the department store. I thought that I didn't have any products from the brand yet and that maybe it was worth the try. I am a fan of Majolica Majorca and Shiseido and knowing that ZA is a sister company of theirs made my decision to purchase easier.

So one of the products I bought is this...

ZA Total Hydration BB Cream UV - Php 395.00
It has SPF 43 and PA+++. Quite impressive especially with the price but it's only 20g so it's not totally affordable.

You might be wondering why I bought the Total Hydration BB Cream even though I already have oily skin. It's just that I don't want to get lighter skin and the other BB Cream is whitening. Simple as that. BUT if the other one was for oil control but still whitens, maybe I'd go with that. :P

Here are the labels from the packaging:

Info from the website:
SPF43 PA+++ 20g
Multi-functional ”12 in 1”BB CREAM that achieves healthy glowing look. With special skincare mineral formula, it not only moisturizes skin but also works as foundation to conceal skin problems to achieve a healthy skin tone.
How to
As the last step of your morning skincare, take an appropriate amount on fingertip and smooth over the entire face with your fingertips from the center outwards.

The packaging is a simple, pink tube. Very easy to squeeze out the product and the cap can be sealed tightly to avoid any spilling.

So here's the product:
It has a very mild scent, almost unnoticeable.

It has a warm beigey shade and gives a semi-matte finish.

It's creamy and very easy to blend.

Here's my bare cheek:

with the product

It gives a medium coverage. Impressive, right? It's buildable too! It does make my skin a little... just a little greyish. But I usually wear powder on top of this because I need to control the oil on my face. The powder takes care of matching the shade to my skin.

So here's how my face look like with the BB and powder on:
(I used concealer in some of my acne marks there)

So is it long-lasting? Yes. It stayed on me the whole day. But it doesn't control oil so after a whole day at work, this is what my face looked like:

Shiny from all its oiliness. No retouch, no blotting. I guess this BB Cream suits dry to normal skin better. But even with oily skin, the product held up and stayed on me. I just noticed some minor caking at the very oily areas like on the nose.

What I LIKE:

- Long-lasting
-Has SPF 43 and PA+++
- Tube makes the product easy to squeeze out
- Locally available
- No strong scent
- Gives a semi-matte finish
- Brightens my face
- Nice medium coverage

What I am NEUTRAL about:

- Shade is not an exact match but can be remedied with the powder I use on top
- Price

What I DON'T LIKE:

- Not for those with oily skin like me
- Experienced some caking
- Not recommended for those with darker skin than me (it's already lighter than my skin)

Would I buy again?
I probably won't because this makes me too oily. I do recommend it to those with dry-normal skin though. :)

So what do you think of this BB Cream? Have you tried it? Will you consider trying this? What products from ZA have you used and love?

Cheers,
