Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Skincare Range

Hello loves!

I just want to share this skin care set I bought during my visit at Jeju, South Korea last year. I bought this at their Duty Free for less than US $40.00 and I think that that was just a super great deal because I love every single product included!

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Skincare Range

The set includes four products—a toner, cleanser, and two clay masks. I'll be mentioning my thoughts about each of them. I also included the product descriptions from their boxes. :)

 Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Toner

Info from the website:
What it is
Daily toner for oily skin

1. Sebum control technology™: Controls excessive sebum to keep your skin looking fresh and soft.

2. A wipe-off type toner that removes residue left on the skin after washing the face

3. Shake well before use: The mineral powder inside helps treat pores and absorbs excessive sebum.

What is Jeju volcanic clay?
Jeju volcanic clay is made from minerals released by volcanic explosions in Jeju. It's categorized as a preserved alkaline resource and is effective in removing sebum and other impurities.

What else you need to know
Free from: parabens, synthetic fragrance, colorants, mineral oil, and imidazolidinyl urea
How to use

1. Shake well so that the mineral powder is mixed in well.
2. Apply toner to a cotton pad.
3. Gently wipe it around your face, avoiding your eyes and mouth.

I think this toner is okay if you're just looking for an oil-free product that will help clean your skin thoroughly after washing without being harsh. It stays true to its claim of getting rid of the excess oil on my face, BUT it doesn't help controlling it. So yeah, I think it's good if you're after the cleanliness part.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

What it is
Absorb sebum and purify pores with Jeju's volcanic cleansing foam

1. A pore-cleansing foam containing Jeju volcanic scoria that strongly absorbs sebum and purifies clogged pores
2. Volcanic scoria--One of Jeju's natural ingredients
Jeju volcanic scoria is an alkaline substance with pH level similar to the human body. It is an ingredient free from impurities.

*Pore cleansing foam vs. Pore scrub foam
-Pore Cleansing Foam: Daily Pore Cleansing--Removes dirt from pores
-Pore Scrub Foam: Pore Cleansing (1-2 times a week)-- A gentle scrub foam that removes dirt and dead skin cells from pores.

How to use
Apply a small amount of foam into your hands and work it into a rich lather. After massaging your face with the foam, rinse it off with lukewarm water.
Ingredients
Wash away pore-clogging impurities with Jeju volcanic scoria!
Volcanic scoria is a pure, and fairly rare, ingredient formed from lava as it cools after a volcanic eruption.
It has a powerful sebum-absorbing capacity and washes away impurities while moisturizing skin, leaving it cleaner and healthier than ever before.

I really like this cleansing foam. I REALLY LIKE it. After I remove my makeup, I use this with a face cleansing brush and it really takes care of the rest of the dirt and makeup remaining on my face. When I use my toner, I don't see anymore dirt! The cotton is still clean.

It doesn't leave my face dry as well and even when it gets close to my eyes, I don't feel any sting. AND it tastes sweet too! I don't recommend that you actually taste it though. Haha! A little goes a long way too so a 150ml tube like this one can actually last you a long while!

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

What it is
3-in-1: Removes Sebum + Brightens Skin + Treats Blemishes! Soothing and Moisturizing

Great absorption of sebum thanks to Jeju volcanic clay!
Clean Jeju volcanic ingredients, made from hardened lava, deeply cleanse pores to purify your skin.

1. Amazing absorption of sebum and impurities
The fine, porous structure of Jeju volcanic clay strongly absorbs sebum inside pores.
Remove impurities and give your skin a clear and complete look.

2. Creates good conditions for skin and makeup
Our clay mask, containing volcanic scoria from Jeju, absorbs sebum and impurities to create clean skin. It delivers minerals deep inside your skin, brightens and clarifies your skin tone, and creates an ideal texture.

*Super volcanic clay vs. Original volcanic clay
- Super volcanic pore clay mask: Great for treating pores!
- Volcanic pore clay mask (Original): Great for controlling sebum!

What else you need to know
Free from: mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients, artificial fragrances, imidazolidinyl urea
How to use
After washing your face and applying toner, gently smoothen the product over your entire face. Avoid using the product on your eye and lip areas. Rinse off the mask with lukewarm water after 15 minutes. (Use 1-2 times per week)

This is actually what I was after. I can't remember where I read it but Jeju Clay Masks are a must to try when you're in Jeju. I wasn't able to go around the shopping areas to find more brands that has Jeju clay, so when I was in Duty Free and saw this, I immediately bought the set!

And I wasn't disappointed! This clay mask is so good! It makes my face cleaner, it takes care of excess oil, I feel like my face got softer after I wash it off, and I also feel like my pores got cleaner and smaller too! I actually just finished the whole tub and I use it at least once a week to unclog my pores from all the oil, dirt, pollution, and products I put on my face. It's really good so I'm not surprised why this has so many good reviews online and why it's a bestseller!

And since I've finished the Jeju Volcanic Clay Mask, I'm now using another bestseller...

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

What it is
6-in-1 Pore care:
Shrinks pores + Controls sebum + Exfoliates + Deeply cleanses + Brightens tone + Cools

Winner of 22 Global Beauty Awards

1. What is the Super volcanic pore mask?

Jeju volcanic clay is made from minerals released by volcanic explosions in Jeju. It's categorized as a preserved alkaline resource and is effective in removing sebum and other impurities.
(Contains 6,020 mg of Jeju volcanic clay)

2. Strong removal of sebum thanks to the Super volcanic capsules
As the capsule bursts, the mask exfoliates and removes dead skin cells. The AHA ingredient chemically exfoliates and smoothes out skin.

3. Clear, Contracted, and Refreshed Pores!
The strong absorption of sebum and cooling effect of the clay refreshes the skin and contracts pores.

What else you need to know
Super volcanic clay vs Original volcanic clay
-Super volcanic pore clay mask: Great for treating pores!
-Volcanic pore clay mask (Original): Great for controlling sebum!

How to use

After washing your face, gently apply toner on your face to even out your skin texture. Then, apply the mask over your entire face, avoiding your eye and lip areas. Rinse off the mask with lukewarm water after 10 minutes.

I think the difference between this one and the Jeju one is that this has more volcanic ash in it... I'm not sure with this theory but if you check the ingredients list, the volcanic ash content appears earlier in the list in the super volcanic clay mask compared to the other one. And for reference, the first to appear in the list means it has the most percentage in the product.

I also use this at least once a week. I honestly can't tell the difference yet. Both products yield the same results, which is cleaner and softer skin. My pores also feels cleaner and  my skin feels like it can "breathe" better. Excess oil is removed without my skin feeling dry. So it's all GOOD! I'm a fan!

What I love about the brand, Innisfree is that even if it's still considered a drugstore brand, it still tries to be environmentally friendly which is reflected in their ingredients and also their campaigns. Check out these info from their website:

Since I'm so satisfied with ALL the products in this set, I want to try more products from Innisfree. I also think that I will buy another tub of clay mask once I run out. <3 font="">

And those are my thoughts on these four products. Which of these would you like to try?

The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam

Hi guys!

While I was washing my face, I realized that the cleanser I was using was almost done. Another thing I realized is that I haven't blogged about it! Haha! And that is why I will be giving my quick thoughts on this...

The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam

This was included in a limited edition Best Seller Collection I bought a year and a half ago but I only opened it around 5 months ago.

This tube only holds 80ml and is not the full size. This is slightly smaller and is only sold in the set. The product sold individually holds 150ml.

Check out what the product is about on the label:

Info from the website:

Soft, creamy lather provides gentle cleansing that last during cleansing.
(huh?)

Get adequate amount for foam. Massage gently all over the face and rinse it off with lukewarm water

This is what the cleanser looks like. It is pearly white and it foams up well when water is added and massaged on skin.

To be honest, I find most Korean cleansing foams, no matter what brand, very similar. So I'm not expecting too much from this, but I am curious though as to why this was included in the Best Seller Collection. It must be pretty good, right?

So I tried it the first time five months ago. It has a pleasant, mild scent. I can't distinguish it but it has a bit of a floral smell... I'm bad at describing scents, I know. :P As I said, it foams up when massaged with water. My first impression was it's good. I feel refreshed after washing my face.

So I've been using it since then. Most of you probably know that I use makeup every time I go out of the house and that my foundation is mostly with heavy coverage so removing makeup takes time for me. After I use a makeup remover, I wash my face with a cleanser and right now, I use this one. What I like about this is that whenever I use this after the makeup remover part, my face is clean of makeup! I bet that if you only apply light makeup, it can remove your makeup without the makeup remover part. It doesn't remove waterproof mascaras well though like the one from Heroine Make and Majolica Majorca.

And even though it thoroughly cleanses the face from dirt and makeup, my face does not encounter any drying! For the brightening effect, I don't know. I don't see it. Maybe I will have to use the entire line for that? I can't say. :P

Overall, I recommend it! It cleanses my skin from dirt and makeup (post-makeup remover of course) and I don't experience drying nor irritation. I understand now why it's among The Face Shop's best sellers.

And those were my thoughts on The Face Shop's Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam. If you have tried this, please share your experience with it. I'd like to know if you liked it as well. :)

Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam

Hey everyone!

Etude House has a new cleansing foam that is a must to check out! If you battle breakouts like I do, then it's really important that you clean your pores well because having clogged pores can give you those horrible pimples that we most certainly want to avoid. And this line, the Baking Powder Line, claims to deal with cleaning the impurities off our pores.

And I was able to try out one of them, the Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam.

This was sent to me for review and I was happy to do so. When I read that this is a gentle product for the skin that promises to thoroughly clean your pores and also gently exfoliates the skin really made me excited to try this out.

At the back of the product, you'll see that claim and there are also important info you would like to check out.

So what is it with Baking Soda anyway??? Why is it the main ingredient in this skin care line?

Baking Soda is a popular household item that can also act as a beauty product with various uses such as teeth whitening, deodorant, and even forskin care. Baking Soda, for the skin, can help exfoliate and help treat acne. I found this website which explains why and what you can do with this wonderful product.

So let's go to the product now...

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and here are my thoughts about it:

- You can really feel those very fine grains that help exfoliate and get rid of extra dirt in the pores.
- After washing my face after a long day at work and wearing makeup, I feel like my skin is very clean. When I use my toner with a cotton pad all over my face, the cotton pad didn't get much dirt. The cleansing foam did it's job cleaning my face well! But I still used a makeup remover prior the cleansing part.
- I find that a 170ml amount of product for only P328.00 is a good deal.
- I use this twice to thrice a week because anything with exfoliation makes me feel worried about my skin. I believe exfoliation shouldn't be done daily.
- A small amount, probably a pea size, will do. It foams up really well!
- The scent is very mild and reminds me of some fruity smell.
- After rinsing, my face feels clean but it never made it feel dry.
- So far, I don't have any major breakouts but do take note that I also use some anti-acne products along with this one.

I really like this product and I would definitely want to try the other ones too! Check out this part of Etude House PH's October Press Release regarding the range:

Etude House Every Month Cleansing Foam (Tea Tree) No. 6

Hey loves!

Every single one of us has skin issues that we have to address. That's why many brands create different skincare products for us to use to take care of those problems. To tell you the truth, I used to have a hard time picking which product to use. I was shy to ask for instructions from beauty assistants back then and it took me a while before I learned the basics to skincare.

But good news to all my fellow Etude House lovers for Etude House has came up with a products that has 12 variants that address different skin concerns.

A few weeks ago, I was received this cleanser that is made for troubled skin. I was thrilled to know that because I do have troubled skin and this cleanser, equipped with Tea Tree, can help me with that problem.

Cleansers are important for proper skincare. We have to make sure that we clean our face especially before going to sleep. We use this daily so it's better that we use something that suits our skin and Etude House is bringing us just that. Check out their 12 Every Month Cleansing Foams:

So take your pick of which one is best for your skin. I'm sure there's one waiting for you from the 12 variants! And what's even better is that these 100ml cleansing foams are only  Php 198.00!

As for the one I got, the No. 6 Tea Tree, it works pretty good in making my face clean after a whole day at work with makeup on. I still use makeup removers, especially for the waterproof eye makeup. After that, this cleansing foam does the trick on cleaning up the rest of the makeup I have on.

The scent is the usual tea tree scent. Very herb-y smell that is quite refreshing in my opinion. I believe that each variant has a different scent. Now I'm curious to check each of them out!

This foams up pretty well too. Just a small amount can cover your whole face. Awesome!

This is how the product looks but I believe each cleansing foam looks different from the other depending on what skin type it caters to. Some are gel-like while some are cream type like the one I have.

So why not check out these cleansing foams from Etude House? I'm sure there is one to your liking. They are very affordable and they also effectively clean your face without causing any dryness to your skin! :)
