Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash

Hey everyone!

Sharing my quick thoughts on this foam wash that I've been using daily for the past month...

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Foaming Face Wash

This 150ml bottle is worth Php 189.00 only.

I've blogged already about what Himalaya Herbals is all about (you can check my introductory post here) and actually, I've already used a product from the brand as early as 4 years ago—the Neem Face Mask. I've actually made a review on it before (read it here) and I still love the product until now.

Now, I got the opportunity to try more products from Himalaya Herbals and this particular one was the one that was most interesting for me when I was browsing the products that were sent to me for reviews.

But let's check the product description first before I proceed with my review...

Specially formulated to give you clear, problem-free skin, a soap-free, daily use foaming face wash that spreads smoothly over your face and removes excess oil and impurities without over-drying. Neem, well-known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem-causing bacteria. Combines with Turmeric, it helps control acne and pimples, leaving your skin, soft clear, refreshed and problem-free.

Key Ingredients:

Neem, Turmeric.

Directions for use:
Moisten the face and spread the foam gently all over, avoiding the delicate eye area. Wash off and pat dry. For best results also use Purifying Neem Scrub and Purifying Neem Mask.

This is a pump bottle which is very easy to use. When pumped, you really get a foamy textured product. There is a gel version of this too and the 100ml tube is only Php 129.00.

I'm not a fan of the scent but it's still tolerable. I didn't mind it anymore after a week of usage. You just get used to it.

This foaming wash is very gentle for everyday use. I never experienced any drying... none at all! And this cleans the skin very well. Not only that, it removes excess oil (I have oily skin) from my skin too so my face really feels clean after washing
–like it can really breathe!

I really do like this because it's something that's very effective that I can use everyday and it's very affordable. It's just that good! I do recommend it if you're looking for these qualities in your facial wash.

Have you tried this yet? What about the other type or the other variants?

Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam

Hey everyone!

Etude House has a new cleansing foam that is a must to check out! If you battle breakouts like I do, then it's really important that you clean your pores well because having clogged pores can give you those horrible pimples that we most certainly want to avoid. And this line, the Baking Powder Line, claims to deal with cleaning the impurities off our pores.

And I was able to try out one of them, the Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam.

This was sent to me for review and I was happy to do so. When I read that this is a gentle product for the skin that promises to thoroughly clean your pores and also gently exfoliates the skin really made me excited to try this out.

At the back of the product, you'll see that claim and there are also important info you would like to check out.

So what is it with Baking Soda anyway??? Why is it the main ingredient in this skin care line?

Baking Soda is a popular household item that can also act as a beauty product with various uses such as teeth whitening, deodorant, and even forskin care. Baking Soda, for the skin, can help exfoliate and help treat acne. I found this website which explains why and what you can do with this wonderful product.

So let's go to the product now...

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and here are my thoughts about it:

- You can really feel those very fine grains that help exfoliate and get rid of extra dirt in the pores.
- After washing my face after a long day at work and wearing makeup, I feel like my skin is very clean. When I use my toner with a cotton pad all over my face, the cotton pad didn't get much dirt. The cleansing foam did it's job cleaning my face well! But I still used a makeup remover prior the cleansing part.
- I find that a 170ml amount of product for only P328.00 is a good deal.
- I use this twice to thrice a week because anything with exfoliation makes me feel worried about my skin. I believe exfoliation shouldn't be done daily.
- A small amount, probably a pea size, will do. It foams up really well!
- The scent is very mild and reminds me of some fruity smell.
- After rinsing, my face feels clean but it never made it feel dry.
- So far, I don't have any major breakouts but do take note that I also use some anti-acne products along with this one.

I really like this product and I would definitely want to try the other ones too! Check out this part of Etude House PH's October Press Release regarding the range:

My One Month with Relumins Acne Clear Range (Review)

Hey everyone!

I have so many skin concerns that I am currently trying to fix. One of those (and probably the one I've been struggling with the longest) is my acne problem. This runs in the family—both my parents, my brother, and my sister shared the same problem. I've been dealing with this half my life and so I quickly agreed to use this skincare when I was offered to review this by flawlessbeautyandskincareph.com.

I received this kit more than a month ago and it is comprised of four skincare products:

Relumins Advance White Acne Clear Foam

Relumins Advance White Acne Clear Soap

Relumins Advance White Acne Clear Solution

Relumins Advance White Acne Clear Serum

The whole set is worth Php 1,900.00.

Here are some info about the products and how to use them from the website:

This brand new set of Relumins Acne Clear products are formulated with multi-active ingredients that work synergistically to fight against acne. The result is naturally clear, healthy-looking skin.

• Reduce enlargement of sebaceous gland
• Helps reduce acne and prevent future breakouts with Salicylic Acid, naturally derived from Willow Bark
• Promotes Collagen biosynthesis
• Peels off clogged pores

• Prevent aggravation of acne due to environmental and mental stress

Relumins is dedicated to bringing you safe and effective products to help you achieve your personal best beauty results with advanced solutions from nature.

INGREDIENTS:
Water, EDTA, Virgin Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Aloe, Salicylic Acid,
Rehmannia Chinensis Root , Soybean Seed , Pear Ferment, Willow Bark Extract , Neem leaf , Phelledendron Amurense Bark Extract ,Scutellaria baicalensis root, Houttuynia Cordata Extract

Directions for use:
1. Wet skin and gently lather face and body with Relumins Acne Clear Soap. Rinse thoroughly.
2. Pump cleanser (Relumins Acne Clear Foam Facial Wash) into your hands and work into lather. Massage lather onto skin with a gentle, circular motion, avoiding contact with the delicate eye area. Rinse and pat dry with a soft towel.
3. Apply Relumins Acne Clear Solution (Toner) directly on face, moving outward up and under chin and neck.
4. Apply Relumins Acne Clear Serum on active blemishes.

*** Use foam facial wash, toner and serum AM and PM.

SAFETY: Before use, perform a SPOT TEST to test for sensitivity as follows: Apply to the intended area of use for up to one 30 seconds.  If rash, burning or inflammation occur, immediately remove the product from skin and discontinue all further use.

I use the facial foam and the soap interchangeably on my face but I also use the soap on my body that has some acne as well.

I use the products everyday in the morning and in the evening. The set lasted around a month and a week (but I still have a few of the soap left). During the month that I used this, I never encountered any irritations.

I documented my face every two weeks to see the effects on my face. See the pictures below:

The third pic was taken in a slightly dimmer room. I didn't get two-three tones darker. :P

Anyway, as you can see on the photos, there wasn't really a change on my skin condition. I still get a few breakouts here and there and the time it took to heal my acne and dark scars is pretty much the same as when I use my other skincare products. It's not bad but I just want a faster acting treatment for my skin.

But it still did some good bits like lessen the redness of my skin and also, it's really good at cleaning your face, especially after a long day at work and wearing makeup.

I'm not fully convinced with the products to be honest so I don't think I'll continue using them. I guess they are just not that compatible with my skin. So for now, I'm still on the search for the best skincare for me. Good news is, I just received other skincare goodies to try. :D

NIVEA Deep Cleansing Mud Foam

Hello everyone!

Nivea just sent me a press release of one of their newest products. I wanted to share it with all of you because I got excited while I was reading about it and thought that you might want to try it out as well. I usually use clay masks to intensively clean my face from dirt and excess oil and I guess leftover makeup too. But isn't this new product fascinating because you get the benefits of a clay mask in your facial foam already? Read more below!
Facial cleansers have never gone this deep

NIVEA Deep Cleansing Mud Foam

Show off clear skin, with or without make-up.

(Manila, Philippines) If there is one golden rule for the modern woman, it’s never to sleep with your make up on. Through many generations, this rule has superseded all beauty regimens womankind has been exposed to. But the question is, have you cleansed deeply enough?

Due to the several layers of make-up we put on – from foundation, to blush-on, and a final dusting of setting powders – oils or facial wipes are the go-to products to strip make-up away. However, make-up removers may still leave behind residues that clog the pores and cause unwanted breakouts. It is important to follow through with a cleanser that not only deeply cleanses the face, but clears leftover make-up residues as well.

Introducing the new NIVEA Deep Cleansing Mud Foam. It goes down deep into the pores to effectively clean dirt and oil. More importantly, it is formulated to clear 10 different make-up residues that can be left behind by make-up removers: make-up oils, press powder, foundation, blush, highlighting powders, eye shadow, eyeliner, silicone, cream residues, and sunscreen.

It is made with the powerhouse ingredients of ActiveCharcoal and Kaolin Clay, both famous in their ability to draw out pollutants and stubborn residues out of the skin. They act as a skin mineralizer to stimulate the skin’s organic processes while reducing shine, excess oil and sebum. NIVEA Deep Cleansing Mud Foam cleans dirt, oil and 10 make-up residues to achieve clear skin.

NIVEA believes that the modern woman cannot be stopped from expressing her confidence, and the new NIVEA Deep Cleansing Mud Foam is a great follow through to your make-up cleansing routine. You can go to bed at peace knowing your skin is deeply cleansed sans the build up of make-up, dirt and oil. Wake up to clear skin every day, and go out with confidence with or without your make up on – because skincare never goes out of style.

NIVEA Deep Cleansing Mud Foam comes in 100g and 50g tubes. It will be available in all leading department stores, drug stores and supermarkets with an SRP of PhP150.00 (100g) and PhP90.00 (50g). To know more, visit www.NIVEA.ph or www.facebook.com/NIVEAPhilippines.

Nature Republic: Herb Dressing White Honey Foam Cleanser

Good evening ladies,

This has been another long overdued post... sorry. Anyway, this product was one of our purchases during Nature Republic's sale a few months back.

I've been using it ever since and so far, it's been a really great product. It cleans the skin well and  when you clean up with a toner afterwards, there's only minimal if not none at all residue/dirt left. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and refreshed, it does not dry it out.

It has a really light "baby powder-like smell", which I like. And well, generally, it's definitely a product I'll be saving up for to buy again... hopefully it runs out on me during the holidays since money tends to come my way during those months. :)

I did get this at a discounted price of about 100-200, but the original price isn't as lucrative either, I think it's around 300-350 and it lasts for quite a while.

I really need to get a more permanent stash of facial wash, well, I am planning on having several brands as my main choices and this fits in. That's all for today.

Cheers,
LIZ

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Aloe Cleansing Foam

Happy Friday, guys!

The days are dropping by so fast. I can't believe it's been almost 6 weeks since my sister arrived from AU for a vacation. I've also been unemployed for 2 months now! Haha! But I still do some extra work here and there. :P

Oh well. Such is life.
Still, we have to live our days as productive and fulfilling as possible.
Also, make it fun and and exciting, right?

Anyway, why am I saying such things... being mellow dramatic perhaps?
Let me just give you a quick review of a product I use daily, which even if the days go by fast, it will not get empty so soon.

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Aloe Cleansing Foam

I'm not sure how much I bought it. I apologize for that.
This is a 170ml tube.

Here are product details from the website:

Description:

A mild, natural cleanser, which contains nine herbs and fresh aloe ingredients providing moisture after cleansing

Application:

Get adequate amount for foam. Gently place it all over the face and rinse it off with clean water

Here's the list of ingredients:

And has a lifespan of a year.

The appearance of the product is milky white.

Smells good too.
When you wash your face with it, it gets really foamy. I like that feeling when I wash my face. :P
When I rinse it off, I really feel like my face is so clean. It really gets rid of the oil and dirt on my face.
I remove my makeup with my usual makeup remover and wash my face with this cleansing foam once and when I use my toner to test if there are a some makeup left, I get a clean cotton ball!

This cleansing foam never made me feel that my skin is dry! It's safe for everyday use, probably why it's called "365" so that you use it 365 days every year.

I think The Face Shop has 5 more flavours of cleansing foam we could still try out.
Have you tried those yet?

Cheers!
