Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling

Hello loves!

Do you use peeling gels? I've only tried a few (and also did a couple of reviews) and generally, I like the effects of these products on me. Basically, these peeling gels help in instantly removing the outermost thin layer of your skin... you know, such as the flaky parts. It's pretty much like a face scrub without the "scrubbing" or the beads.

I'm currently using the
Onsaemeein Yogurt Peeling
that I bought from AltheaPH for PhP 300.00 only.

For details of the product, you can check it out on Althea's Website or you can check out the labels on the tub if you can read Hangul.

The packaging is simple and cute. It's a plastic tube with cute peach prints. I like the font choices and that they limit the design to two colors (three if you add the black font labels at the back). The shape is not the usual tub because the cap is a bit chunky that makes it easy to spot among my skincare products.

It's equipped with a spatula too. It's super cute and I love the shape and the spoon-like part at the tip. It makes using the product more hygienic!

The product smells a bit sweet with a hint of yoghurt. It's very mild—unnoticeable when applied. Its look remind me of paste but it's not sticky at all. It's really like gel.

Here's how I use it...
Using the spatula, I get a little bit bigger than a pea-size amount since I have a big face.
I massage it with my fingers for a minute or two.

And then these bits of what I would call a mix of skin (mostly), sebum, and dirt would appear. It's exfoliation without irritating the skin with scrubs!

This product takes care of my weekly exfoliation. Sometimes I use it twice a week but most of the time I limit it to one and then use a scrub after 3 days (what can I say, I like a good scrubbin'!).

This product will show the brighter skin underneath. It helps smoothen my face too. And when your face is smooth, your makeup also looks better. I've been using it for months now and I haven't encountered irritations with this product.

Overall, I like this product. i like how it performs on my skin and I also like how easy it is to use. The design is good and I like how affordable it is. I would recommend you check this thing out. ;)

Jaclyn Smith Skincare Exfoliating Polish

Hey dears!

I'm almost done with this tube so before I finally run out of it, I'm sharing a quick review. :P

Jaclyn Smith Skincare Exfoliating Polish
I got it for free from Lazada a long time ago and I've only used it a few months back because I was finishing a different exfoliating product then.

Anyway, before I used this, I wasn't aware of the brand at all. I wasn't even familiar with Jaclyn Smith who turns out to be one of the actresses who played one of Charlie's Angels. I've already shared a press release about this and you can know more about the brand on that post. To keep it short and simple, this skincare range is a labor of love from Jaclyn Smith and her husband. She takes care of her skin with the right skincare routine and having a husband who's a doctor and understands chemistry, supported her to share this skin care to others. And together, they made the products possible so that more people can experience a skincare routine like hers.

This product is an exfoliating polish. Pretty much just like a scrub that I use twice to thrice (I have oily skin) a week to remove the dirt and dryer surface layer of my skin.

Here's a brief description of the product from the press release:

"Her collection includes the world-renowned, Jacklyn Smith Exfoliating Polish, an effective exfoliating cleanser with micro-abrasion beads, formulated to gently remove dry surface skin cells for immediate freshness and radiance..."

From Lazada's website:

Cleanser
With micro-abrasion beads
Formulated to gently remove dry surface skin cells for immediate freshness and radiance
Removes accumulated dead surface skin cells, environmental impurities, oils
Thickened outer layers of skin to reveal a fresher-looking luminous skin

An effective exfoliating cleanser with micro-abrasion beads, formulated to gently remove dry surface skin cells for immediate freshness and radiance. Removes accumulated dead surface skin cells, environmental impurities, oils, and thickened outer layers of skin to reveal a fresher-looking luminous skin.

You can avail two tubes for only PhP 1,599.00.

More info from Jaclyn Smith Beauty's website:

An effective exfoliating cleanser with micro-abrasion beads, formulated to gently remove dry surface skin cells for immediate freshness and radiance. Removes accumulated dead surface skin cells, environmental impurities, oils, and thickened outer layers of skin to reveal a fresher-looking newer skin that is smooth, renewed, and luminous.
•      Polishes skin with micro beads to remove dead surface
•      cells and reveal a smooth glowing complexion
•      Gentle enough for sensitive skin
•      Natural fruit and sugar cane extract enzymes help clarify
•      skin by removing dead cells and eliminating bacteria
•      Green tea aids in decreasing inflammation, reducing free
•      radicals, and combating acne
•      Unconditional Money Back Guarantee

Ingredients: Water, Pumice, Glycerin, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Cetyl Sulfate, Laureth-3, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Saccharum Officinalis (Sugar Cane) Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Tetrasodium EDTA, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance

Tips: Like any physical exfoliator this product should be used to gently "polish" the skin, not as a scrub. Although exfoliation is extremely beneficial at removing unwanted accumulation of dead surface skin cells to reveal a smoother fresher face, don't overdo it. Listen to your skin, if it is becoming red or irritated you are either "scrubbing" too hard, or exfoliating too often. Some people may need to exfoliate different parts of their face with different frequencies. For instance, if your face is a combination of dry and oily, you might exfoliate the dry areas once a week, whereas in your oily areas ("T" zone), you may exfoliate more frequently.

Here's the product.

And a closeup when slightly smudged

This is a cleanser with microbeads. It pretty much reminds me of a product from Kiehl's, but this one feels like it has bigger beads and creamier consistency. The scent is very mild and hardly noticeable when rinsed off.

My problem with this is that it doesn't show my the ingredients list. It's not in the tube, but good thing the website has it. I'm no expert in chemistry but in reading the list you can see that this product have micro beads that can be harmful to marine life because these passes through the filtration system and go to our oceans. It also contains alcohols and parabens that can be issues to some people.

During the months that I've used this, it didn't break me out, no irritations happened, and it did the job of keeping my face clean and removing dry flakes and dead skin. My face feels softer after rinsing. It's not the best I've tried but it does a satisfying job. It's still quite pricey for me though. :P

Have you tried the Jaclyn Smith Skincare Exfoliating Polish? What are your thoughts?

Zenutrients Luxurious Goat's Milk and Oatmeal Body Scrub

Hey guys!

It's a long weekend for me because of the Chinese New Year celebration in the next couple of days. Yayyy! As usual, I will spend some of my free time to pamper my skin (while doing some chores LOL). One of the things I do is to exfoliate twice a week to get rid of dry, flaky skin, dead skin cells, and dirt. It also helps in making things easier when it comes to taking care of those nasty ingrown hairs I get because of waxing.

I've used many scrubs now and the one I'm currently using is...

Zenutrients Luxurious Goat's Milk and Oatmeal Body Scrub
PhP 234.00
This one is 100g. It also comes in a 300g which costs PhP 390.00

It's housed in this simple clear tub. You get a glimpse on the color and the scrubs. I already have a clue on the creaminess as well as how the scrubs would feel on my skin.
As a person who graduated from Fine Arts and Design in college, I have to comment that the design isn't really that... appealing to me. I expected more from Zenutrients since it has been around for a while and has been expanding their physical as well as online stores around the country. But I guess if they are getting enough sales, then why spend more? Haha! Anyway, I just like seeing pretty stuff. :P

At the side of the tub you'll see the labels containing important infos like manufacturing and expiration dates, ingredients lists, and the instructions on how to use.

Here's the info from the website:
Indulge skin with this lactose, vitamin A, B12 and D treat.

That info is pretty short so here's more from BeautyMNL's site:

CLAIM TO FAME: A deliciously indulgent formula blended with gentle exfoliators that smooth and soothe dry or flaky skin

FAST FACTS: Certified organic formula; packed with crushed oats and creamy goat’s milk; filled with vitamins A, B12, and D; indulges skin with moisture-rich lactose; leaves skin feeling softer and smoother with regular use

PERFECT FOR: Drought-prone areas like elbows and knees

How to Use: Apply to damp skin while in the shower. Rinse thoroughly. Can be used two to three times a week. Use only one drop for exfoliating the face once a week.

About the Brand: Don’t panic, it’s organic! All-natural, non-allergenic, and of premium quality — that’s what Zenutrients promises with every product. What started in 2007 as a way to create skincare items that addressed the needs of people with allergies and sensitive skin has now become a well-loved brand with a line of delectably pure products for your every need. Each of their offerings is specifically handcrafted to be nothing but good to your skin — so you won’t need to do anything but use them knowing that your skin is in the best of hands.

As stated in the "How to" part, I use this twice a week. I usually apply it on my elbows, knees, and legs. I don't use it on my face as I have a different product for that. Although this scrub is good for facial use as recommended on the info, but only once a week.

What made me buy this, aside from the fact that I regularly exfoliate, is that it smells so wonderfully delicious! I love milk products, especially when they smell sweet and creamy and the scent of this one is just that! It makes my bath time a treat!

The apricot scrubs are mild that it won't scratch your skin, but still exfoliates well. I do like my scrubs on the legs a little more gritty though to help free the ingrown hairs when I have them. If you do not suffer from the "ingrown problems" then I'm sure you'll enjoy using this scrub as much as I do.

The creaminess of it also left my skin soft so even though I exfoliated and gotten rid of those extra things like dirt, dry skin, and excess oil, my skin felt soft and smooth.

I like it but I still prefer grittier scrubs. The price is affordable but I know some scrubs that are cheaper but perform pretty much the same. Still, I would recommend this if you're looking for a gentle scrub you can use. I also would recommend it just because of how amazing it smells! Haha!

Have you tried this product yet? Do you also love the scent? What about its performance?

Hey guys!

My sister sent me these awesome exfoliating treatment that I can try from Kate Somerville. I've been seeing so many adds about this brand on Facebook and I haven't had the chance to try any products from them before my sister sent me this.

These are sample sachets and she recommends that I try them out. She really liked them and she thinks that I might like them too.

I trust my sister when it comes to skincare recommendations. We have almost the same skin type—oily and acne-prone. She likes to try out products and recommends the good ones. I can't try them all though because most of her current purchases are $$$$$ pricey! Haha! :P

Anyway, I'll share with you my thoughts on this product. But first, check out what this product is all about from the labels:

And here's the info from the website:

    • 84% of women reported softer skin
    • 72% of women reported a reduction in skin roughness and improved complexion
Results based on an independent Clinical Study
    Clinical results1 include:
    • 75% reduction in skin roughness
    • 75% decrease in skin dullness
    • 88% of users said they had smoother skin and improved texture
Results based on a visual evaluation of 20 subjects by an expert grader.

    Ingredients

Water/Aqua/Eau, Lactic Acid, Polyethylene, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Pectin, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit, Lactobacillus Pumpkin Ferment Extract, Ceteareth-20, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Dehydroxanthan Gum, PEG-100 Stearate, Salicylic Acid, SD Alcohol 40-B, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Sorbic Acid, Cinnamomum Cassia Leaf Oil, Honey (Mel), Acetic Acid, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Bromelain, Papain, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Phenoxyethanol, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Linalool, Limonene, Cinnamal, Beta-Carotene (CI 75130), Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex (CI 75810)
  • How To Use

AM or PM. Use once or twice a week. Apply a thin, even layer to a clean, wet face, massaging in a circular motion for 30 seconds. Leave on for up to 2 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and gently pat dry.
PRECAUTIONS: This product increases circulation, which may cause the skin to flush slightly for a short time. For sensitive skin, leave on for less than one minute, or use ExfoliKate® Gentle instead.

    Kate's Tips

When you use ExfoliKate® in the shower, the steam will help to activate the enzymes, making it even more effective.

So I use this as instructed. I can't use the whole sample in one usage, maybe the 2ml sachet can last for 2-3 usages.

It smells ummm... herby? But the scent doesn't bother me. It looks like this slimy green thing but it has these super fine scrubs. When you massage it on the skin, the scrub is not too harsh but you can feel the gritty beads that help exfoliate the surface and dry areas of the face.

This is really effective in brightening and exfoliating my face! I can immediately feel my skin getting smoother after rinsing it off. I was amazed the first time I used it. There's a precaution that it can cause a flush on skin but I didn't get any of that, just soft and smooth skin. No irritations whatsoever!

I'm so happy my sister got me some samples. I really love the result that this product gave to my skin. My problem now is how the heck can I get my hands on a full-size product? It's just too expensive for my budget... but I guess a good skincare product is worth investing.

What do you think? Would you splurge for a good great exfoliator/mask?

Bagong Ganda, Bagong Pag-asa with Maxi-Peel

Hey dears!

Whether we like it or not, physical appearance plays a HUGE role in many relationships. Many of us might think that this is quite shallow but unfortunately, it is true. This is why many feel more insecure about themselves; some may even end up getting hurt.

That is why my heart broke when I watched this testimonial by Germain. Just imagine being left by your significant other just because of pimples? That sucks so bad, right? But don’t get me wrong, I am happy that she isn’t with that shallow-minded A-hole anymore, but the experience she went through can really make your self-esteem go down bigtime. I can understand this because I also suffer with oily and acne-prone skin and this really made me uncomfortable with my bare skin, which made me prefer using heavy coverage makeup. I’m glad though that there are products out there that deal with these kinds of problems.

You can watch Germain’s testimonial here:

I’m glad that she discovered Maxi-Peel. She broke free of the insecurities of having pimples and dark spots. She’s no Dalmatian anymore!

My sister and I are no strangers to Maxi-Peel as we’ve used this product before for exfoliating dead skin cells on our skin. Good hygiene, proper skin moisturization, sunscreen, and enough sleep are important to get your skin healthy; but exfoliation, too, can help achieve an even better and glowing skin!

You see, skin exfoliation is a natural process but as we age, the process slows down making dead skin cells stay longer, leading to breakouts and dull skin. And this is where the number 1 exfoliant in the Philippines, Maxi-Peel, comes in.

Maxi-Peel helps our skin exfoliate in three stages—remove (stinging), renew (redness), and reveal (peeling). These stages may seem a little scary at first because, well, who wants to experience any stinging sensation, redness, and peeling on their faces anyway, right? But Maxi-Peel is FDA approved and dermatologist-tested. It safely removes dirt and unclogs pores. It sheds-off our dead skin cells that causes build-up of dirt and bacteria on our skin. These build-ups aren’t thoroughly removed by the usual cleansers, unlike how Maxi-Peel can. That being said, Maxi-Peel also prevents pimple breakouts and it whitens our skin revealing a healthier, more radiant skin. So there’s no need to worry. All you have to do is wait for a more beautiful you. BagongGanda, BagongPag-asa!

So how do you use Maxi-Peel?
Use the Maxi-Peel Facial Wash to clean the face of dirt and excess oil. Apply the exfoliant solution to the problem areas that need clearing-out. Next, apply the moisturizer. This is important even if you have oily skin. Apply more generously on areas of your face that are dryer. Do this at night time for about 1-2 months depending on your skin condition and always, and I mean ALWAYS use sunblock when going out during daytime (or even night time but you don’t have to apply as much). Finally, give your skin a little rest for a month before using the products again.

So do you have those stubborn acne and dark spots? Why not try Maxi-Peel and have that Bagong Ganda, Bagong Pag-asa just like Germain! J
