The Body Shop Indian Night Jasmine Eau de Toilette

Hey dears!

What I smell influences my mood pretty easily. I get pissed off when I smell cigarette smoke or piles of trash, and I feel really good whenever I smell something floral and fresh. I like spraying room fragrances or lighting up some essential oils for a good night sleep and I make sure that I spray cologne or perfume when I go out. Smelling good just lifts my mood!

I think I have shared before that I'm not into fruity scents. I like florals, vanillas, and musky scents... and look at what The Body Shop has here...

The Body Shop Indian Night Jasmine Eau de Toilette

This bottle was actually a gift. It's one of the more recently released scents of the brand.

Anyway, let's see the details from the labels:

And here's the info from the website:

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Sophisticated and opulent, the Indian Night Jasmine Eau De Toilette will scent your skin with rich, floral fragrance. Jasmine originates from India, where it has been used for centuries to produce some of the most valuable oils around the world. At night, jasmine exhales its headiest scent and we capture this aroma in our pure extract by hand-picking blossoms just before sunrise. Discover your perfect fragrance with our Fragrance Finder.
  • Oriental scent
  • Layer with the Indian Night Jasmine Body Lotion to build the fragrance
  • Enriched with Community Fair Trade Organic Alcohol from Ecuador

Organic Alcohol
Our Community Fair Trade organic alcohol is handmade from sugar cane by the 200 farmers of the Consorcio Agro-artesanal Dulce Organico (CADO), in Cotopaxi, Ecuador. The organic sugar cane here produces a pure high quality alcohol that is perfect for our fragrances, and our trade supports CADO in its aim to give its members “a chance to fight poverty without losing their traditional way of life or destroying the environment”.

FULL INGREDIENTS
Alcohol Denat. (Solvent), Aqua/Water/Eau (Solvent), Parfum/Fragrance (Fragrance), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone (Fragrance Ingredient), t-Butyl Alcohol (Denaturant), Coumarin (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Salicylate (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Hexyl Cinnamal (Fragrance Ingredient), Hydroxycitronellal (Fragrance Ingredient), Benzyl Benzoate (Fragrance Ingredient), Denatonium Benzoate (Denaturant).

I like that this bottle is 50ml and is easy to carry when traveling. The glass bottle is pretty thick too but can be a bit heavy for its size.

Remember the three scents I like? Well, let's just say that this fragrance are all three—it's floral, musky, and infused with vanilla. The vanilla part is not very obvious but there's this sweetness to this scent that is present. At first, you get the sweet fragrance then it becomes musky and I can really smell the hint of sandalwood that reminds me of the  sandalwood fragrance oil that my mom bought when she went to Israel (or was it Jordan?).

I still consider the scent pretty light and I like wearing this during day time. This is eau de toilette so I didn't really expect a whole day lasting power. I had to re-spray again after 4-6 hours and every spray is always a treat for me.

What I like about this fragrance is that its something that is not very common so it really made an impression on me. It easily became another favorite scent from The Body Shop along with their Moringa, Vanilla, Fijian Water Lotus, and Brazil Nut. I'm sure to get a new bottle when I ran out of this.

Have you smelled any product from the Indian Night Jasmine range from The Body Shop? What are your thoughts?

Cheers,
DAWN

  1. I also love a perfume that has a unique scent; not the super sweet or fruity kind of smell. Nakakasawa kasi.

  2. I love musk in perfumes! Really love Body shop's vanilla cologne.

  3. I actually detest the smell of cigarette smoke while I'm eating. It just kills the taste of the food instantly. That's why I don't like sitting outdoors in a restaurant smoking area. I would just rather wait for a table to free up inside.

I'm a fan of white florals, and I like how TBS does jasmine, lily, and rose scents.

    1. Exactly about the cigarette smoke! I really, REALLY do hate it. TBS is doing a great job with their fragrances. :)
