Have a Hagod-Worthy Hair With Palmolive Naturals Cream Conditioner

Hey dearies!

Just a couple of days ago I received this beautiful package...

The box itself will heighten anyone's curiosity with its elegant look and the text "Discover the Change." Even my mom wanted to know as to what the box's content was when she saw it, but opted to wait for me to open it.

When I opened it, I saw this...

I saw three cream conditioners from Palmolive Naturals and of course, their beautiful ambassador, Ms. Megan Young!

If you look close at the variants, you'll see that all three conditioners aim to improve the state of straight hair, which is awesome because my hair is currently straight and long... well, my hair tends to have big waves but it's mostly straight. :P

The package includes a press release regarding the products, and the packaging's new look:

Achieve Hagod-Worthy Hair
With Palmolive Naturals Cream Conditioner

For some, it may seem like a mere habit. But for most women, hagod is a sign of confidence—a gesture that implies she is in control and ready to take on whatever is in front of her. It shows that she is comfortable with herself and how she looks. The hagod is an expression of a great hair day.

With hair that’s silky straight, doing the hagod becomes a natural, unconscious tendency for women. Stroking it from root to tip becomes a pleasurable and irresistible experience that is satisfying to do over and over.

As Palmolive Girl Megan Young puts it, “My hair is silky straight, I can’t stop doing the hagod!”

Now with its fresh new look, Palmolive Naturals Silky Straight Cream Conditioner makes it possible to have silky straight hair that’s hagod-ready throughout the day*. Its formula, infused with micro-moisturizers, penetrates deep into hair making it 8x straighter**.

It’s time to make the switch to Palmolive Naturals Silky Straight Cream Conditioner. For silky straight hair, choose the right conditioner and do the hagod!

Share your Palmolive Hagod on www.facebook.com/PalmoliveNaturals and use the hashtags #PalmoliveCreamConditioner

Have a great hair day!

I usually have my hair around shoulder length to maybe 4 inches long from my shoulder. Now my hair is longer, almost mid way from shoulders to spine. My hair stylist said that I look good with long hair so I try to maintain it for as long as I can. Unfortunately, having long hair can be a challenge to maintain. My hair gets weaker and I also get frizz. I try to apply hot oil weekly to make it smoother and healthier but I also need daily conditioning.

Good thing this package was sent to me so I can try products that is hiyang to my hair. I saw the purple variant that's for Frizzy/Wavy hair and I just thought that it's PERFECT for me. It aims to make hair silky and straight.

I've used it for the past two days and this is what my hair looks like.

Frizziness lessened! (I'm at the office there and yes, we do have some stuffed toys lying around LOL)

I think I'll use this one next, which is for Normal Hair, for maintenance because it focuses on making the hair healthy and smooth.

Ugh! I also think this one will be good for my hair since it's for dry/coarse hair. My hair isn't like that, but my hair did get damaged when I had it colored. It's intensive moisturizing qualities will help with that.
Palmolive Naturals actually has other variants so do check them out. If you have the same hair concerns as me, then the three products mentioned in this article might be the ones you should consider trying out. I'll update the post when I've tried all three conditioners! :)

Cheers,

Models Prefer Lipstick Lipgloss Duo in Kunzite

Hey guys!

Just sharing a quick swatch post!

It's the Models Prefer Lipstick Lipgloss Duo in Kunzite.

I first encountered Models Prefer when my sister, who is currently living in Sydney, gave me some products that she bought from the brand. I've tried only a few so far. Anyway, if you want to know more of their stuff, you can check them out at Priceline

I have to be honest, this is a random, impulse buy. I just really wanted a warm dark shade that time and I saw this. I have no idea if it's any good and I actually thought that it's only a lip gloss! Haha!

Anyway, so you can see in the photo above the dual ended product. BUT WAIT! There's a surprise!

The lipstick has two sides too with different shades!  One is like a mulberry red shade while the other is a warm, shimmery pink. Swatches will be posted below.

The gloss has a doe-foot applicator which holds enough product for both lips.

The gloss is very, very pigmented. It's pretty much a liquid lipstick. It feels quite thick though but it's not sticky.

And on to the fun part, the swatches.

From left to right:
1. The two shades of the lipstick mixed
2. The pink shade lipstick only
3. The darker lipstick shade
4. The lipgloss only

With one product, I get to have four shades of lippie! I think it's a good buy, especially if you're after your money's worth. I rarely use it though since I like using matte lippies more.

So that's all for this post!
What do you think of this product?

Cheers,

PIXI Lustrous Eye Primer

Hey loves!

I love eyeshadows. And if you're like me, then you probably love using eye primers too to make your eye makeup bolder and longer lasting.

I've tried really good ones like those from Urban Decay, Dior, and Too Faced; while I've also tried those that aren't that good (you can check my eye primer reviews here). I still like trying primers from other brands, so whenever I see something on sale, I buy it to see if it's good. Here's one that I bought when I went to a bazaar:

PIXI Lustrous Eye Primer
The shade is in Gold Lustre.

You can see the product details on the box packaging.

I tried looking up at their website for more info but it seems like it's been phased out since it isn't there anymore. So I got some details from Oz Cosmetics:

  • Helps banish fatigued eyes & transform them into vigorous looking eyes
  • Evens out skin tone & imparts a hint of radiant gold to skin
  • Ensures sleeker lids & longer lasting eye shadow
  • Also works as a highlighter on brow & cheek bones

I like primers that can even out the color of my lids... like it has a bit of coverage. But I want the coverage to be like a concealer type that's matte... Or at least just a skin tone color. So when I saw that it's gold, I was hesitant at first but I took a chance and still bought it.

It's in a pen form. You just twist the bottom end and the product goes to the brush end of the packaging. I just need to twist it for about 4 clicks to get the product out.

The applicator is a synthetic brush. It's pretty smooth so it's okay to apply it directly on the eyelids.

Here's what it looks like
It's gold and shimmery!

Here it is on my hands when spread-out

And on my lids

It looks really good. It can actually be a good cream eyeshadow just by looking at it. It's very smooth and it can be easily applied evenly.

As primer, it can  make your eyeshadow appear bolder. See the photo below:
Left: no primer, Right: With the primer

To check if it lasts long, I wiped the area with tissue and here's what I got:
The swatch without primer disappeared while the one with the product is still here.

It's pretty impressive, right? Though I have noticed that it changes the color of the eyeshadow. One good example is the swatch below. I used eyeshadows from Lorac and look how it darkened the shade, it's almost brown!
I think the gold color influenced the eyeshadow too much that it changed it's color.

When I wipe off with tissue, it still held the swatch impressively but the color is still different.

It doesn't really bother me if it changes the color, I can work the colors anyway. It will be a hassle though if you have a specific look in mind.

And even if it holds the eyeshadow well when wiped off, I have noticed that it doesn't do well when my eyelids get oily. The eye makeup creases on my lids badly after 5-6 hours. It was such a let down to be honest.

Overall, I'm not impressed with this. My primary reason why I use primers is to prolong the makeup. The creasing part makes this primer a no-no in my book. The changing of colors also can be an issue sometimes... so yeah, I'm not a fan of the PIXI Lustrous Eye Primer. :P

What do you think of the PIXI Lustrous Eye Primer? What eye primer would you recommend me to try next?

SuperSale Bazaar Haul Post

Hello guys,

It's been a while since Dawn and I ever had a joint shopping session. Back in the days, when we were still students, we'd go to 168 to hunt for great finds. Then when we started working, we'd start browsing racks whenever brands announced a sale. But since we've gotten busy we haven't done any of those. Until my sister told me about the SuperSale Bazaar at World Trade Center last weekend.

The Bazaar was filled with local store owners, local brands, and a few online shops. There were so many great finds that Dawn and I had 4 bags each within our first 10 minutes exploring.

So without further ado, here are our hauls from this bazaar.

Here are a pair of slippers from The Ilustrados, Co. which Dawn bought for her brother. For more information on their products, visit their FacebookInstagram, or Website.

We're not sure of the store or brand but the signage around that area said "Factory Overruns".

We weren't able to catch the name of the store but they sold clothes which were from Bangkok.

The Sweet Cloth
They have a really great selection of these kimono-type cardigans (not too sure what they are called). If you're interested to see more of their items check out their Instagram and Facebook.

Forgot the shop where we got the small paddle brush...
The Big paddle brush (PhP 300.00) from Lipstick All U Can

LuXe Parfum and Scents

Cutie items from Variety Online

The Venture Pack
Check out their Instagram and Facebook page to learn more of their bags.

After experiencing the wonders that facial oils have done on my face, V&M (Venus & Mars) Naturals caught my eye and with a price tag that's about 60-70% less than the facial oils I am using today, who can say no to that? Will do a review of this in the coming weeks. Hope this one works well. To see more of their products, you can check out their website.

And of course, every event will have FREEBIES!

So there you have it. Dawn and I had a lot of fun going around and discovering local entrepreneurs and local brands that offered such cool and great finds. We would have loved to buy at least one item from each store but money constraints prevented us from doing so.

If you weren't able to visit during the event, you can view some of the items in the bazaar and links to the stores in the Facebook page of the event. I know I will.

So that's it for this haul post.

Cheers,
LIZ
