Tokyo Trip 2017 Haul

Hello loves!

I just got back last weekend from a week-long vacation trip at Tokyo, Japan. It was COOOOLD, but every place we visited was beautiful! I enjoyed all the sceneries and all the delicious food! Even the food from their convenience stores are yummmm! Konbini food rules!!! 

I also did some shopping, mostly art materials and beauty products. It was fun looking at items, but it can be quite intimidating because most are in Nihonggo and I have no idea what they are about or what they are even called. They are quite pricey too if you compare them to the prices of the same products in the Philippines or even in South Korea. But I love me some Japanese beauty products, especially their eye makeup and cleansing lotions. So I still splurged some money and bought some goodies to take home with me. And in this post, I'll show them to you. ;)

I actually do not need this. I have quite a number of face powders at home... but it's SAILORMOON!!! I just had to have it!

Bifesta Cleansing Lotions

I already bought two just because I love how effective it is while still being affordable.

Shiseido Rosarium Rose Water Mist

This smells amazing! I wanted to get the whole line... but I don't have the budget for it. I like mists though because it makes me feel refreshed so I chose to get the mist. I bought two because the other one is for my officemate (she requested that I get her a mist and she'll pay me when I get back).

Ummm... I don't know how to read the Hello Kitty Liner... but yeah, it's pretty much because it's Hello Kitty that I bought it. And Japanese eyeliners rarely let me down. ;)

The other one is another product I cant't read... I just wanna try another product that I'm not familiar with, to be honest. :P

I wouldn't type each one anymore since it's not beauty related but I just wanna mention how awesome the store called Sekaido is! It's a building containing art materials! If you're looking for good pens, pencils, inks, and other drawing materials, then Sekaido is a must-visit!

And I just gotta share this beautiful package of their Meiji Chocolate! I got them as pasalubong for some friends. ;)

Finally, GREEN TEA / Matcha Food! I love green tea and I indulged myself with all the green tea drinks and desserts that I can when I was there. I also took home some which you can see above. Unfortunately, I didn't get those luxurious tea sets and real matcha leaves. Maybe next time...

Review: Bifesta Cleansing Lotion

Hello ladies!

This is actually a long overdue reply review for Ms. Iya Boto...

So, sorry to keep you waiting for this review... but here we go.

I used to always use Cetaphil lotion for removing my make up... but then I started to not like the feeling of lotion on my eyes and I started to notice that I'm not really able to get all the make-up off, and I keep rubbing my eyes just to get all the products off them.

So I turned to our ever favorite make-up artist for advise and found this little video:

I initially wanted to buy Bioderma, since well, that's what she's using. But it is really hard to find locally and I'm not too great at buying stuff online (plus I don't have any means to pay for online purchases). So I scoured for a water-base make up remover that was cheap enough for my budget but is good enough for eye make-up removal.

Then Dawn told me about Bifesta. We bought ours at Landmark in Makati. I'm not sure if you can find it in other branches. Anyway, I would have to say that it's performance is quite comparable to Bioderma. 

I follow Lisa's eye make-up removal routine using Bifesta and I find that it pretty much wipes my eyes clean, no nasty residue that looks like you smudged your eyeliner or you cried with your make up on. It just depends on how long you keep the wet pad onto your eye.

So let's go point by point.

1. Does it remove waterproof mascaras or any waterproof make-up at that?

- yes it does. It just depends on how long you keep the wet cotton pad pressed onto your eyes... The longer the better. And if you're not the nagtitipid type, 3-4 pumps would be awesome. But if you're planning on making it last... stick to 1-2 pumps and press it on for longer.

2. Does it remove fake eye lashes?

-yes, it melts the glue very efficiently for that very smooth, no ouch removal of your fake lashes.

3. Can it remove really brightly colored lipstick?

-yes, it wipes your lips clean as a whistle. But I'd advise you to wash your lips with water afterwards as the after taste isn't so nice. :)

The Bifesta line comes in four formulas: Moist (for dry and sensitive skin), Sebum (for combination-oily), Brightup (for dull and flaky skin), and Agecare (for mature skin).

I'm using the Sebum one, although I'm currently using it for eye make-up removal only and rarely for my face since I use cleansing oils for that... but this is also a great product to use for the whole of your face just depends on how you want to use it I guess. :)

So there you go. Our short review for the day! I'm celebrating my last day of exam with a good nap so off with my make up. :)

Liz's Holiday HAUL

Happy holidays dearies!

If there's any downside to the holidays, that would be the spending-spree that leaves your wallets empty and bleeding. Well, needless to say, I went on a splurge this holiday.

After a mere week, I burned through my 5k savings. Ugh so shameful! But it was well worth it anyway. :)

Super love this water based make up remover. Really great for removing eye makeup, waterproof eye liners and mascaras. You can buy it in Landmark if you want one. :)

And this one, I didn't buy but I'm just happy to have it with me this Christmas. Thanks to my classmate Jamie for gifting it. :)

A Little August Haul Post

 Hi dearies!

Today, my bro and I visited the new Robinsons Magnolia.

Most of the shops were still closed but we still enjoyed our time there nonetheless. The place is very bright and clean, a lot of our favorite food chains were there, and there were already lots of people!

Too bad I wasn't able to bring a cam to document our little mall visit.

We were craving for some noodles so we ate at Ramen Bar. The ramens were tasty and I love the drink we had... I forgot the name but it was some kind of yogurt soda.

I was supposed to drop by the Saizen store there but there were so many people in it so I just passed and probably visit it next time. :P

I still did a little shopping at Robinsons department store! 

No makeup this time though but more on my toiletries and skin and hair care!
