My November-December (2014) Haul

Hello loves!

Before the year ends, I'd like to share my latest acquisitions, a.k.a. my new babies that I will be reviewing on future posts. A couple of these are my "Christmas gifts" to myself. These are items that I've been wanting to get for so long and finally had the courage (and the money) to purchase.

So here are my new babies:

One of my major purchases and one of my two faves is the Lorac Mega PRO palette. I bought this from Beautyholic Manila on the last week of November.

I also bought some products from Etude House last November. They were on sale so I was happy to do some shopping to take advantage of the discounts. These products are:

Etude House Play 101 Pencil in Nos. 4 and 33

A tweezer, an eyeliner sharpener, a pair of false lower lashes, and a bath sponge

Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream

This December, The Body Shop also had a sale (Buy 1, get another one at 70% off) and I bought my favorite face mist!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist and some cotton pads

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Duo Palette in Celebrity and Diva

Yadah Vitamin Mist

Been a sucker for face mists lately. Even though I'm satisfied with the one from TBS, I also want to try other brands... especially those that are more affordable. :P

And finally, another favorite and the most expensive among all my purchases... this Michael Kors watch. I love wearing watches and most of those that I have are those very cheap ones that are around $5-10 only but I do have some that are from Timex and Anne Klein. Anyway, I was talking to my cousin some weeks ago and she told me that it was time I invested on buying real jewelries. So I guess I started with a watch. :P

And those are my new stuff! Do let me know what you are most interested to read about soon! :D

Happy New Year, guys! Hope that this year would be a fruitful year for everyone!

Cheers,
DAWN

Unboxing: November-December 2014 Beauty Bounty Saladbox

Hello everyone!

I received my Saladbox today! I wasn't expecting any packages since it's almost Christmas time but yayyy, additional gifts arrived! Well, not really since I did pay for this box. LOL

Anyway, it's unboxing time! Weeeeeeee!

When I opened the package, the box had the Dial logo. My first impression was, is this another exclusive box? And if it is, are the products mostly bath items?

I was relieved to see that they aren't. It's not an exclusive box but you do get 2 full-sized products from Dial. Not that I don't like that brand, it's just that Saladbox is supposed to be a try-before-you-buy concept so I don't appreciate getting a box containing mostly soaps. So yeah, I'm glad that this box has more! :D

Here's an introduction of the box:

And below are the items with the corresponding price and product descriptions:

I'll share with you individual photos of the products.

Dial Greek Yogurt Body Wash in Vanilla Honey

I LOVE this! I love yogurt and I love Vanilla!

Dial Coconut Water Bar Soap

This smells amazing! When I opened the box, I smelled it immediately.

Get Lei'd Cosmetics 3D Green Tea Fiber Mascara Set

I was so curious about what this classy box was about. I'm not familiar with the brand so I'm very excited to see what this is.

Inside you'll see two tubes. They come in a set that will give you 3D lashes. I'm not sure what that is about but I guess one is for elongating while the other is the mascara. I'll try this soon so do wait for my review on this. :D

Skinfood Premium Tomato Whitening Toner and
Skinfood Premium Tomato Whitening Cream

Novaexpert Paris The Repulp Mask

Blo Blow Dry Bar Coasters/Coupons:
Free Deep Conditioning Treatment
20% off on any signature hairstyles

And that's what's inside my November-December 2014 Saladbox! I'm actually happy with this box. I'm glad that all these are things that I would love to try out and I only paid Php 333.00 for the box! Yay!

Christmas eve is tomorrow! Enjoy the holidays guys!

Cheers,

Virginia Olsen 2014 Mineral Eyeshadow Collection

Hey loves!

I'm am happy to share with you the newest collection of mineral eyeshadows from Virginia Olsen! Check out their press release below:

The fun never stops at Virginia Olsen as we are unveiling yet another bunch of eye-catching, vibrant and fun mineral eyeshadows for our 2014 collection. Apply neutral shades such as Champagne (shimmer), Hazel Eyes (matte), Wine Matte (matte), and Darling (matte) for everyday makeup look. Party the night away with metallic colors like Straight Up (shimmer), Gun Metal (shimmer), and Cloud (shimmer). Make your eyes truly pop with color when you use Grape Vine (matte), Soda Pop (matte), and Mermaid (shimmer). Showstoppers Supernova and Magical will truly give a great addition to your Virginia Olsen Minerals collection. We’re also throwing in some shimmery highlighters Angelic (for fairer skin tone) and Innocence (for darker skin tone) to complete the range. (Hashtag: #VirginiaOlsen2014Collection)

Affordable at only Php 165 for each eyeshadow, and Php280 each for the highlighter. Oh, and don’t forget to use our new all-organic eye primer Virginia Olsen’s Eye Prime (Php499) to add vibrancy and intensity on your lids! These products will be available in the Philippines this July 2014 in www.virginiaolsen.com, www.lazada.com.ph, and The Ramp Crossings, Shangrila Plaza.

And they also sent me these awesome products from the latest collection!

Three of them are eyeshadows while Innocence is a highlighter, which I also use as an eyeshadow!

As always, Virginia Olsen Eyeshadows are very pigmented. I knew right away what to expect and what looks I can do using the shades they sent me.

As you can see on the swatches above, I wasn't disappointed. All four shades are super pigmented! Kikay artist in me is very happy!

And of course I have to play with my new toys! Here's the first look I made using the colors Straight Up, Cloud, Grape Vine, and Innocence...

I used Innocence on top of my cheeks and also as an eyeshadow.

Below are closeup pictures of my eye makeup.

Sorry for the untidy eyebrows. I made the look a couple of days after I got back from US and I didn't groom my brows during the 3 weeks I was there. Hehe. :P

So on the inner corners, I used Cloud. At the middle is Straight Up. I used Grape Vine at the outer corners and lastly, Innocence at the top of Grape Vine. :P

So what do you think of this EOTD? I managed to play with all four colors and the look reminds me of the time when it's almost evening and the sky is a combination of pink, purple, blue and black with lots of stars...

And before I end this post, I'd also like to share this new product from Virginia Olsen. I haven't tried it yet but you may find it interesting too...

Eye Prime has a powdery gel consistency, so a little goes a long way. Simply apply a thin layer over eyelid and smoothen it on your skin. Once it has dried, you will feel a smooth and even surface that makes application of eyeshadow a breeze. Our Virginia Olsen Eye Prime works best with loose pigments such as Virginia Olsen mineral eyeshadows. This organic primer acts as a base to which the pigments, glitters, or shadows will adhere into.
Eye Prime retails at Php499 and will soon be available at www.virginiaolsen.com.

And that's all for now! I'll post more looks using these new shades soon! Happy Sunday everyone!

What do you think of the new collection? Which color is your favorite?

Cheers,
DAWN
