Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Eye Color in Halo

Hey guys!

I'm sharing another multi-purpose product from Ellana!

I really appreciate that Ellana provides us with these fabulous products that have more than one functions. You can see them in my reviews (click here to read them). This one that I'm writing about is an eye shadow that I also use as an eye liner and a highlighter.

Ellana Minerals Eye Color in Halo
Php 150.00.

I got this from my August Glamourbox.

Info about the product from the website:

Halo can be used as:

- BLUSH
- EYELINER
- EYESHADOW
- LIP COLOR (when added to lip gloss)

What is Multipurpose Mineral Powder?

It's pure high intensity mineral pigments that can be used as eyeshadows, eyeliners, blushes, lip colors, bronzers, and body shimmers. Our colors come in matte, shimmer, and frost finish. Note that some shades cannot be used for the lips.

Swatch on hand

LOVE the pigmentation. It gives a sort of ethereal feel. I feel like I'm one of those Elves in Lothlórien! (LOL) The shimmer and the fine glitters give that magical vibe into the beautiful purplish-pink shade.

Check out these shots below. It shows how I usually use it as an eyeshadow.

I use a darker shade of purple at the outer corners of the lids to add depth.

This would look good as a sheer blush to those with very fair skin. But since I have a medium-tone skin, I use it as a highlighter. See the photo below.

See that sheen on top of my cheekbones? That's Halo giving me that beautiful glow! I just love how it makes my face look "blooming," especially when the makeup colors used are mostly pink.

I also use this as an eyeliner. I usually line this below my bottom lashes to create a brighter set of eyes.

So what are your thoughts about this products? Have you tried any eye color shades from Ellana Minerals yet?

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Eye Color in Brilliance

Hey dears!

Remember my latest online haul from Ellana Cosmetics? My purchases amounted to more than Php 1k and I received this product as a freebie...

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Brilliance

This was their promo back then. Right now, I think you can receive a blush or a bronzer if you purchase products amounting to Php 1,000.00 too. :)

Here's a brief description of the product from the website:

Pure high intensity mineral pigments that can be
used as eyeshadows, eyeliners, blushes, lip colors,
bronzers, and body shimmers. Our colors come in
matte, shimmer, and frost finish.

Note that some shades cannot be used for the lips.

The price of this product is only Php 150.00.

I just love that it has multiple use. It conserves time, space (in the kikay kit), and money!

The bronze frosty-metallic finish is just gorgeous. I think it would look great on almost any skin tone. Just look at the swatch below!

The pigmentation is so rich that you only need a small amount of product to create this intense color. Even if the shade is in the brown-bronze side, the beautiful metallic shine makes it a scene-stealer.

Although it can be applied in many ways, I usually use this as a bronzer and as an eyeshadow...

Here's how I wear it as a bronzer.

It blends very well with my warm skin tone. Though it is metallic, it gives just enough amount of shine to create a subtle bronze glow on my skin. You can add more if you wanna achieve that bronze goddess look but as for me, this is enough for an everyday wear. I top it with a cute peach blush for a warm flush on my cheeks.

Here's how it looks like when I apply it as eyeshadow.

You can wear it alone but I like adding some dark shades at the outer corners of my lids for extra depth.

This is a very easy look to do and it's also very wearable.

It really makes my eyes pop with the brilliant color. I don't even need to apply eyeliner to make my eyes stand out!

So here's me wearing Brilliance as a bronzer and eyeshadow:

So what do you think? What are your thoughts on Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Eye Color in Brilliance? :)

PÜRMinerals Mineral Shadow in Amber

Hey loves!

Swatch post time of one of the great deals I got when I visited Rustans Makati around two weeks ago.

PÜRMinerals Mineral Shadow in Amber
Got this for only Php 223.50 from the original price of Php 750.00.

This pretty little thing along with dozens of other eyeshadow shades are discounted up to 70% off. The brand is pulling out so they are selling everything at a very low price. There are also bronzers and a very few lip products left. The discount will last until supplies last.

Now going back to the product...

At the box you can see the ingredients

And a short description:

The packaging is very simple. The silver compact looks neat and classy. It has a secret compartment at the bottom where a little applicator is placed.

Closeup of the product

Swatched on hand

It's a nice base eyeshadow, especially for a natural looking eye makeup. I think that anyone who want to collect makeup should have a shade like this or something close in their stash. The product is very pigmented and the powder is fine. With a good eyeshadow primer, it doesn't crease on my lids for the whole day (I use the one from Too Faced). :)

What are your thoughts on the PÜRMinerals Mineral Shadow in Amber?

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Embrace

Hey dears!

It's been a stressful week for me mostly because of the requirements I had to finish for my class in graduate school. I've finally done everything and I can get my much needed rest. So I'll just share a quick swatch post for the night then head to my beloved bed and pillows. :P

I'll be sharing a swatch and my quick thoughts on...

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Embrace

But first, let's check some info on the packaging of this product:

Some more info from the website:

Pure high intensity mineral pigments that can be
used as eyeshadows, eyeliners, blushes, lip colors,
bronzers, and body shimmers. Our colors come in
matte, shimmer, and frost finish.

This is worth only Php 150.00. You can get a discount if you click the banner on my right side bar. ;)

I bought the shade Embrace because it looks like a really good neutral shade. It has the earthy tone that is a very safe and simple color but it also has those fine glitters that give the extra glam finish!

See the sparkles? Aren't they just pretty?

Swatch on my hand

As you can see, the product has impressive pigmentation. I love how the glitters blend with the gold color.

Some pictures of the eyeshadow when applied on my eyelids.

It's my to-go-to eyeshadow when I don't have time to do my usual multi-colored eye makeup looks. I can wear this alone and it would still look great. But usually, I still add a darker brown shade to add the illusion of depth on my lids.

So what do you think of this shade from Ellana Mineral Cosmetics? Have you tried their other mineral eye shadows? Which is your favorite?

Cheers,
DAWN

Affordable at only Php 165 for each eyeshadow, and Php280 each for the highlighter. Oh, and don’t forget to use our new all-organic eye primer Virginia Olsen’s Eye Prime (Php499) to add vibrancy and intensity on your lids! These products will be available in the Philippines this July 2014 in www.virginiaolsen.com, www.lazada.com.ph, and The Ramp Crossings, Shangrila Plaza.

And they also sent me these awesome products from the latest collection!

Three of them are eyeshadows while Innocence is a highlighter, which I also use as an eyeshadow!

As always, Virginia Olsen Eyeshadows are very pigmented. I knew right away what to expect and what looks I can do using the shades they sent me.

As you can see on the swatches above, I wasn't disappointed. All four shades are super pigmented! Kikay artist in me is very happy!

And of course I have to play with my new toys! Here's the first look I made using the colors Straight Up, Cloud, Grape Vine, and Innocence...

I used Innocence on top of my cheeks and also as an eyeshadow.

Below are closeup pictures of my eye makeup.

Sorry for the untidy eyebrows. I made the look a couple of days after I got back from US and I didn't groom my brows during the 3 weeks I was there. Hehe. :P

So on the inner corners, I used Cloud. At the middle is Straight Up. I used Grape Vine at the outer corners and lastly, Innocence at the top of Grape Vine. :P

So what do you think of this EOTD? I managed to play with all four colors and the look reminds me of the time when it's almost evening and the sky is a combination of pink, purple, blue and black with lots of stars...

And before I end this post, I'd also like to share this new product from Virginia Olsen. I haven't tried it yet but you may find it interesting too...

Eye Prime has a powdery gel consistency, so a little goes a long way. Simply apply a thin layer over eyelid and smoothen it on your skin. Once it has dried, you will feel a smooth and even surface that makes application of eyeshadow a breeze. Our Virginia Olsen Eye Prime works best with loose pigments such as Virginia Olsen mineral eyeshadows. This organic primer acts as a base to which the pigments, glitters, or shadows will adhere into.
Eye Prime retails at Php499 and will soon be available at www.virginiaolsen.com.

And that's all for now! I'll post more looks using these new shades soon! Happy Sunday everyone!

What do you think of the new collection? Which color is your favorite?

Cheers,
